Chapter 2: The Fabric Of Indifference

Shadow Saber the Bunny's P.O.V

Date: June 16th, 2017

Time: 11:17 p.m.

One Week Before Protocol Afton

Among my vision was darkness, a surrounding that was present everywhere that could only be lifted by me. I opened my eyes to see two figure hovering over me: One was a bear and the other was a bunny, an odd sight to wake up to in all honesty. I had also awaken to be laying on the floor, as I slowly moved the upper of my body upwards. "Hey man! We got ourselves another one for the crew," said the bear. "What's going on? Who are you?" I asked looking around. All around us was darkness, nothing else but an empty void filled with us to give it purpose. "The names Shadow Freddy homie," said Shadow Freddy as I got off the ground and onto my feet, if you could even admit there was ground to begin with. "My name is RXQ. And you are in our home," said the bunny. "Home? This place just seems like a baron land," I responded looking around. "Right on man! Here, we bring life for those who exist, to give us a purpose and reason to create our own society," said Shadow Freddy. "You are the recreation of someone else." "And who exactly?" I asked. "Come with me and follow me to a land of endless dream. No gay joke intended," said Shadow Freddy as he and RXQ started walking forward, as I followed behind the both of them. "Each and everyone one of us originate from a functioning animatronic, or robot to be exact, which is why we look like this," said RXQ. "And who did I originate from?" I asked. "Some guy called Saber, I'm guessing. Which is why you were named Shadow Saber the Bunny. Or Shadow Saber for short since that takes too long to say for a name," said Shadow Freddy as he opened a door that was hidden among the darkness, almost blending in completely. "Now this will make sure you smoke a blunt for sure." We all walked through the door as I could see a hallway now, while Shadow Freddy and RXQ walked in front of me. As I followed behind them, the first sight of their world could now only be described as a 'nonexistent reality' to establish the impact it had on me. There were multiple shadow animatronics all roaming around this place, like rush hour when trying to catch a train. "Damn. This is something," I said looking around as we continued to walked towards the endless crowds of animatronics. "Hey boys! Want some freshly backed cupcakes?" asked some chicken animatronic as she held a tray of cupcakes on her left hand. "Nah! Can't when I've already smoked two blunts today," said Shadow Freddy holding his hand out to deny her offer. "I'm good," responded RXQ casually. "Sure. I guess I'll take one," I responded grabbing one off her tray. "Now that's someone who appreciates real food, even for a newcomer! I see the others got you present here with us now," said the chicken animatronic. "I'm Chica by the way, and it is welcomed to meet you," she responded. "The names Saber. Glad to be apart of. Well. Whatever you like to call this," I responded. "Eventually you'll learn to live with the enormous family we are, I'm sure of it. It is something unexpected to start your life with after all," she responded. "By the way, Shadow Fredbear is expecting the three of you. Especially Saber." "Yes. We're aware of that. Don't be playing us like we're a bunch of dumbasses," responded Shadow Freddy. "Wow! You're definitely not trying out my new pizza later on," said the chicken turning around and walking away. "Chica sure doesn't know how to take a damn joke at times," said Shadow Freddy. "You didn't make it seem like it was a joke," said RXQ. "I'm guessing that was Shadow Chica," I said. "Damn straight! This girl can make you the best food around this place for sure," responded Shadow Freddy. "So? This Shadow Fredbear. I'm guessing he's the leader of this place," I assumed as we all turned a corner and walked down a hallway. "Yep! Has been since the beginning of this place and our society. He runs this place like it's god damn freedom central," said Shadow Freddy. "We have rules, we follow them. If there's a problem, he deals with it, as it should be dealt with. He ensures the mistakes of others can be learned from." "The words of others used to describe by another can't always be directed towards the true identity of those that are used to pertain to them. Not unless you know the true personality of them," I said. "Man! This guy knows how to preach! Word!" exclaimed Shadow Freddy. We all walked down the hallway, as he stopped at what appeared to be an office. The door denying any way in opened once we stopped in front of it, as an animatronic that appeared to be a fox opened the door and stood at the doorway. She looked badly dismantled and her body appeared to be dislocated, all while a portion of her body was titled towards the side. "Name," she said. Its voice sounded feminine so to me it was a clear indication it was female. "Mangle, you know us. Fredbear called for us to come here and bring the new guy as well," said Shadow Freddy walking and standing in front of me and RXQ. She backed away from the door as it closed a second later, all but not responding on the process. "Of course she's back to pulling the sames stunt," said Shadow Freddy. "Nice security," I said sarcastically. "Yeah. God damn Shadow Mangle is always taking her job as security too seriously. She knows us but she acts like we're strangers or outsiders, even when she knows we're here to meet with Fredbear. Not only that but I'm pretty sure she had a burning hatred towards me and RXQ," said Shadow Freddy. "Guess some people don't give a damn about others," I responded. "She doesn't, for sure, " agreed RXQ. A moment later the door opened completely while Mangle was standing at the entrance again. "Permission to enter in granted. If there are signs of aggression or hostility towards the leader, I will be forced to resort to punishment," said Mangle still blocking us from entering. "Are we clear?" "Yes," responded RXQ. "Sure," I responded. "Whatever, fine," responded Shadow Freddy. She stepped aside now, allowing us to enter as we all walked in the room. The room appeared to be an office just as it appeared to be from the outside, thought not a very formal way you would see a leader use for their personal quarters. At a desk with multiple monitors resting on the table was what appeared to be Fredbear, having his attention directed towards the computer in front of him. "Yo Fredbear! We got the new guy that we brought to life," said Shadow Freddy trying to get his attention. Fredbear finally turned around as I could see he had earbuds in both of his ears, as he pulled both sides off. "Excuse me?" he asked. "Never mind. It's obvious why were here," responded Shadow Freddy. "It sure is. Welcome Shadow Saber, I'm sure you've been informed of me already," said Fredbear turning to face me. "I have," I responded. "That's good to hear. But I'll be honest, you are here to receive answers for your inexplicable life," said Fredbear. "This world. Do you think this all it has to offer for us? Do you believe this pizzeria is our only source of kingdom to exist that stands with pride among other things?" "No," I responded sounding confident of my answer. I knew this place wasn't the only thing that would exist in this world; for it to feel baron and empty, only to let us sparse our imagination and dreams. "And that my friend, is knowledge and the power of the mind at its finest," responded Fredbear tapping the side of his head. "This world is only our world, not theirs. The humans to be exact. You see, we're based off a series of animatronic robots designed to entertain children. A life you can say is. I don't know, bland to some. But who are we to judge?" "So, how did you come to be?" I asked. "Well. I'm the shadow of Fredbear, obviously. He was one of the first animatronics to be built to support the success of the company; Fredbear's Family Diner. However, the maker of these animatronics had other desires to sustain his vision for the pizzeria," said Shadow Fredbear getting up and pacing around. "William Afton. A man who only craves the blood of others for his own reasons, someone who had the free will to play and pull the strings of his own puppet show that should've bee cut loose at the first sight. During one of his many experiments used for dread, there was a unforeseen failure which was linked to the project itself entirely. A world between worlds." "That's seems impossible to perform. No one has ever discovered enough evidence to state we have the ability to go between a world or another universe besides ours," I responded. "It sure is when this took place during the 1980's," said RXQ. "Indeed. But the purpose of the experiment is still unknown. Regardless, during the process I was created by the effects of a portal being tested on the Fredbear animatronic that malfunctioned," said Shadow Fredbear. "The results were me. Or what remains of it." "So, how did this place get created then?" I asked. "In all honesty, the origins of this place are still unknown. All that was left when I woke up here was an empty wasteland, waiting to be claimed and settled on. However, I was gifted extraordinary powers because of this world. A power I used to create our own society with," explained Shadow Fredbear. "Can you rejoice back with the real world?" I asked. "I can. Though, I choose not to. This place is my true home, not to forgot someone has to watch this place," responded Fredbear. "So why not expand your society in the real world?" I asked. "Let's be real here. Would anyone bother and accept our kind in their world? Think of the conclusions they would draw to if they saw us, the fantasies and theories the media and world would create by our presence. And thus destroying the fabric live's of animatronics, even if both people are indifferent," said Shadow Fredbear. "The same results would occur with the animatronics if any one of the humans knew they were alive." "I guess I didn't see the insight from that perspective," I responded. "Don't worry. Not all of our minds work the same way as others, considering the natural differences most of us have. The problem is others accepting those whose mindset differs from others. The one permanent thing stuck with modern society," said Shadow Freddy. "But in our world we accept those that come out different here, that's what our society is based on."
