His only friends are two twin dream demons, Bill and Will Cipher. They were with him as soon as he could remember. As they said, they were bound to him, they were like the voices in his head, his other personalities only with the exception that they have supernatural and/or magic powers. They were the only ones who could understand him.
You are probably wondering what about his twin sister. Why doesn't she understand? Well, she did, at least for a while... Mabel used to be able to see this creatures as well. But one day, she couldn't anymore. She stopped believing in those creatures & she couldn't see them anymore. She grown out of it.
