Chapter 23

If there was one thing that Dipper hate, it would be bullying. So when he saw a blond second-year Ravenclaw picking up her things while a couple other Ravenclaw girls walking away, laughing and whispering, he couldn't help but place an undetectable curse on those bitches. And, of course, there is no way to remove the curse with out having The Third Eye (how Bill said his ability to see normally invisible things was call) since it's a demon's curse.

"Are you OK?" He asked the blond girl while helping her pick up her things.

"I'm fine. You need not to worry." She said in a dreamy voice. "You didn't need to curse them."

Dipper was surprised when he heard that. He, for once, did not expect to meet another person with The Third Eye. But then again, it did explain why she was bullied. She was different. She saw things that no one could see, heard things that no one could hear and she knew things that no one does. She was different. She was the unknown. And one of humans most primal fears was what was different, was the unknown. So, in order to hide from that fear, they bullied her. They beat her down. They acted as if they were superior. All to convince themselves that there's nothing to fear, that no matter what it is, they could come out on top. Even though, deep inside, they are still afraid.

"You know, you are really Nargle-free." She said with her dreamy voice, once again. "It must be because of Them."

"Most likely." He responded. "I've never seen anyone else with The Third Eye before. What's your name? I'm Mason Pines."

"Luna Lovegood." She answered. "Though some people keep thinking that it's Looney. I guess 'Luna' is a hard name to remember."

"I think they are doing it on purpose." Mason said.

"Perhaps."She said as she picks up her Charms book, the last one of her things. "I'll see you around, Son of the Stars..."

"Take care, Daughter of the Moon." He said before they parted their ways.

While Luna went to who-knows-where (well Bill does... Stalker... Hey! I heard that!), Dipper went to see the first Quidditch match of the season. Originally, it was Slytherin vs Gryffindor but the Slytherins, being the sly and cunning snakes that they are, used Malfoy being 'injured' as an excuse so as to not have to play in the horrible weather. The Hufflepuffs have to play instead. Dipper and Bill silently agreed that the teachers are, at least, not really observant and logical since the Slytherin team still has a reserved Seeker that could play in Dragon's stead. Then again, magic kinda does defy logic so it is understandable that wizards throw logic right out of the window. Still, those foolish fools... (A/N: Excalibur: "YOU FOOLS!")

Normally, Mason wouldn't even think of coming to watch or play sports. If he had time to waste watching and playing sports, he would prefer to read a book or go monster-hunting instead. Going monster-hunting is a much better way to exercise your body as opposed to paying sports. Until now, Dipper still doesn't get why they couldn't go monster-hunting in PE instead; there are still plenty of creatures visible to the muggle eye. And the worst that could hadplen in monster-hunting was someone dying. It's not like anybody was getting expelled.

However, Dipper decided to put that debate aside and focus on getting to the Quidditch field. His friend was playing in this horrible weather so he had to come.

The teams came out to the field and mounted their brooms. The game had started.

After a while, the rain kept pouring, slowly turning into a full fledge storm, and the sky got darker, as though night had decided to come early. Everyone was now so wet, and the rain so thick, it was hard to tell them apart...

With the first flash of lightning came the sound of Madam Hooch's whistle. The Gryffindor team splashed down into the mud.

"I called for time-out!" Wood roared. "Come on, under here."

They huddled at the edge of the field under a large umbrella and began discussing something. After a Hermione coming down there, doing something the heading up, the red team took off again and the game continued.

After some time, Cedric Diggory was pelting up the field, and a tiny speck of gold was shimmering in the rain-filled air, Harry zooming close behind. Then, Dipper noticed hundreds of dementors coming towards the two Seekers. Deciding to do something, Dipper retreated to a dark corner where no one was looking...

Harry felt as though freezing water were rising in his chest, cutting at his insides. And then he heard it again...Someone was screaming, screaming inside his head...a woman...

"Not Harry, not Harry, please not Harry!"

"Stand aside, you silly girl...stand aside, now..."

"Not Harry, please no, take me, kill me instead!"

Numbing, swirling white mist was filling Harry's brain...What was he doing? Why was he flying? He needed to help her...She was going to die...She was going to be murdered...

"B̰̠ͯͧ̉̊͋̌͢͞a̛͓̟̱̥̱̦̯͋ͭ̚͘n̵͍͔̗͕̲̰̟͆ͯ̆̋̆̾͆̀g̬̥̪̜̫̳̋̊́͟.̴̧̮̦͙͈̭͈͉̍̓ͯͫ͒ͧ̄̚" A monotonous voice said as a red bullet made out of light flew right in front of Harry, snapping him back to reality. Looking down, he saw that the dementors were obliterated upon contact with the bullet. Those which survived were fleeing.

Harry quickly shook his head as to clear his mind before zooming after the Snitch. Apparently, the bullet has flew between Cedric and the Snitch, stopping him. With that and the advantage of a better broom (the difference in skills was still in need of discussing since Cedric was older and had played longer than Harry did), Harry caught the Snitch, winning the game for Gryffindor. Yet, everyone was still silent.

Once the Snitch was secured in his hand, Harry looked up so as to find the source of the bullet only to find a boy floating with a rifle. But he was not a normal boy. Said boy was wearing a dark crimson/blood red military uniform and a demon (oni) mask. On his head was a pair of horns. And his eyes... They were glowing red with black slits, looking as if he could see through your soul.

The boy only nodded before a door opened behind him. He flew inside, the door closing after him and vanishing.

Everything was silent before Lee Jordan roared to everyone about the Gryffindors winning the game and the field exploded in cheers.

Still, Harry wondered who that military boy was...
