Hermione's POV

I have to admit, Professor Lupin was the best DADA teacher we had ever had but Harry is a little upset that he didn't have his turn with the boggart.

However, I have something else in mind. Usually, Mason would come see us at lunch but we hadn't seen him since this morning & I'm a bit worried about him. (A/N: As a friend! We are not having a Hermione x Dipper!)

Harry, Ron & I were walking down the hall, deciding whether we should visit Hagrid or not when we suddenly hit someone.

"We're sorry." I apologized.

"It's OK." The someone, who turned out to be Professor Lupin, replied.

"Are you visiting someone?" Ron asked. Only then had I realized that our DADA teacher was walking towards the hospital wing.

"Yes. Just a student who had a magic outburst. No need to worry." He replied.

"Um... Professor... Is this student a brunet Slytherin with a birthmark in the shape of the Big Dipper on his forehead?" I asked hesitantly, hoping I was wrong.

"Well, yes, actually." Prof. Lupin answered. "Are you three friends with him?"

"Birthmark?" Ron asked, confused.

"Dipper?" Harry asked confusedly as well.

"God! We've been friends for sometime now & you two don't even notice that Mason has that?" I asked, a bit frustrated.

"Nope." Ron simply replied.

I groaned as us four went to visit Mason.

Dipper's POV

I was in my mindscape with the Ciphers.

"So, I had a magic outburst as well as a demon powers outburst?"

Y-Yes.

"And you two had to possess me to take control of the powers before they hurt me?"

Yes.

"And right now, I'm in the infirmary & Professor Werewolf might have discover about my demon powers?"

YeP. Absolutely.

I groaned. Things are gonna get complicated but maybe I can blackmail Remus to force him to keep my secret.

Y-You should probably wake up. Y-Your friends are here...

I concentrated my energy to escape the mindscape & slowly opened my eyes...

Moony's POV

Mason, as Harry & his friends called him, slowly opened his eyes & groaned...

"Did anyone get the number of the train which hit me? Everything feels like a trainwreck..." He said, earning a smack in the back of his head from Hermione.

"Ow! Why did you do that for?" He asked, rubbing the back of his head where he had be smacked.

"Do you know how worry we were? And that's the first thing you say!?" Hermione scowled. To be honest, right now, she kinda reminds me of Lily.

"Sorry..." He muttered.

"Mind if I ask you a question?" I said.

"You just did." He replied.

"That's not what I..." I started but was cut off by Mason.

"I know. I was just messing with ya." He said with a small & quiet laughter. "Go ahead."

"Who were those two people?" I asked. "If I remember correctly, you called them Bill & Will..."

The boy seemed uncomfortable answering this so I told him that he didn't have to answer the question if he didn't want to do it.

"It's OK. I can't keep this a secret forever." He said before muttering: "But I wish I could..."

"I was blessed, or curse, with a quite unique ability: I could see every magical and mythical creature around even when they were supposed to be invisible to human eye." He explained. "Now, before you say anything about me lying, I say that the carriages to the schools are led by thestrals. I saw them even though I haven't witness a death. Those creepy skeletal black horses with a face with reptilian features and with big leathery  bat wings." He turned to me. "Am I correct, Professor?"

"Yes. You are correct." I confirmed. Meanwhile, Harry, Ron & Hermione only remained silent.

"Those two man you saw back there was my only friends before I came here. I was always considered a freak at school by everyone..." (A/N: If Ao was here, she would probably hold a knife against Pine Tree's neck while telling him not to say the word 'freak'. Kudos to anyone who got this reference.)

We remained silent... We didn't know what he might had had to go through before... I know that bullying can get really serious... Speaking of Sirius, I hope that traitor doesn't get anywhere near the kids... (A/N: Now, before you start raging in the comments, you should know that at this point, even in the original, Remus didn't know the real traitor was Wormtail yet.)

The silence continued until Madame Pomfrey was telling us to get out so Mason could get some rest.

Just when we were at the door, Mason spoke:

"Can I talk to Professor Lupin in private, please? I promise it won't be long."

Madame Pomfrey agreed reluctantly.

"So what is it that you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Answer me honestly, Professor. You think I'm not completely human, don't you."

I was suspicious when he grew horns but now that he's asking this, I feel like I could pretty much confirm that he's not human.

"Yes." I replied.

Dipper's POV

"Yes." He replied.

I only smiled before pushing him. He fell through a door to the mindscape & I jumped in after. And then, everything went black...
