The events that followed the next morning were quite hilarious. Seeing my new silvery grey hair from under the covers made Raelynn and Verra think that it was someone else lying on my bed. They brought a spatula, a broom and gathered all the workers in the house who all carried their own versions of weapons.

They were planning and making strategies when I woke up, their loud voices having disturbed my sleep. And on seeing a variety of things pointed at me as soon as I opened my eyes, I screamed. After that everything was chaos.

A fit of laughter later, everyone left , complimenting my new hair color while I spent the next ten minutes fan girling about previous night along with Rae and Verra.

The next few days went past like a blur, I had my hands full with the store and the estate but somehow Zayn managed to get my mind off things. I was happy, and that reflected in my behavior. I was back to being my normal self or as normal as I could be and Zayn along with all my friends were to thank for.

There was also a lot of speculation about Zayn's New Girl on the net, and it was kind of funny to see people making assumptions about me. There was, as expected negativity too but it never had bothered me before, nor it was going to do now.

We were a thing or not , I didn't know but my mind still wandered to Zayn's parting words from that night, Be ready, we are going on a date soon , but there had been no mention about it after that in our phone calls or our texts. Until today.

I woke up to a single red rose lying on the side tables with a blue colored paper. Opening it, I take in the neat and small handwriting, my first thought being it was cute. Handwriting's can be cute too, right ?

When this reaches you, you might have just woken up. So good morning . And if you are wondering how I got your address, you are quite famous in your town so that helped. The point of this note ? Well, remember when I said ' we will be going on a date soon . ' Yeah, I have been something in my mind , yayy !! So Zelmirah Renee Winters, will you go out on a date with me ? If it's a yes, shoot me a message as soon as you can and if it's a no, then I will just go sulk in a corner but I hope it's not. I will be waiting for your text.

P.S The internet says taking flowers on a first day is a strict no, and it's old fashioned but I remember from one of our conversations you liked old fashion so , screw internet , whatever makes you happy.

P.P.S Harry said a letter would be more romantic than a simple text , so if you don't like this please tell me so I can kill Harry

I laughed, I awwed and I almost cried. In a matter of minutes I was texting Zayn with a huge smile on my face.

Zel: Your writing is cute

Zayn: What? That's all you going to say 😞

Zel: The rose smells beautiful

Zayn: Is it a no? Louis says this means no 😢

Zel: I like the blue color of the note

Zayn: If you are just messing with me Zel, it's not funny because I am about to have a heart attack 💔

Zayn: Oh My God! You are ignoring me now 😱

Zayn: I am sorry

Zel: I will go with you

Zayn: I thought you will say yes....

Zayn: Wait, what ?

Zayn: You will go with me 😁😁

Zel: Yeah, when and where though ? 😄

Zayn: OMG OMG YOU SAID YES 😁😁

Zel: Zayn

Zayn: I am freaking out

Zel: Me too 😳

Zayn: See you soon babe 😘

Zel: But where ? 😓

Zayn: Surprise 😛😁😁

I let out a squeal which I had been holding ever since I read the note. He was so freaking adorable. I couldn't believe it, he was too sweet.

I run to the kitchen to tell Rae and Verra and another surprise meets me. A bouquet of red roses lies on the kitchen counter with Rae and Verra gushing over it.

" You got the note. "

I nod and rush towards the roses, as there is another blue note reading which I blush as red as the roses.

Roses are red,
Sky is blue,
But both of them are not as beautiful as you ❤

Zel: You are so cheesy

Zayn: Louis said it was too cheesy, I should have listened to him 😏

Zel: But I like it 😉

Zayn: Well then, I am cool like that 😎

I start laughing at his texts, while Rae and Verra look at me weirdly.

" What ? "

" It's good to see you like this. "

I hug them both as a wave of emotions overcome me.

" Come on now, you should relax and have a good sleep. Take a nice warm bath. You have to look as fresh as these roses, today. "

And I do exactly that.

It's 5 in the evening when I receive Zayn's text to be ready, ready as in dress as casually and comfortably as I can and he will be here to pick me up any time soon.

I am more than happy to dress casual, so I grab a DKNY white shirt and put on a pair of blue jeans and pair the outfit with black flats. Just as I put the phone in my pocket and grab a cardigan and a beanie for when it gets cold, Zayn says he is here.

Rushing outside, I say a quick goodbye to Rae and Verra. Sure to his words, Zayn is leaning against a black pickup truck, dressed almost similar to me - jeans and T-shirt which makes me laugh as I read what it says.

I cuddle on first dates.

I am sure my smile matches his, as we say a quick hello and he opens the door to let me in.

" Are you ready, Miss Winters ? "

" As ready as I can be, Mister Malik."
