Zelmirah

Chaos. Everything was a chaos and I was freaking out.

" Verra! Please tell me what I am going to wear or I am going to have a crying fit . "

Raelynn laughed beside me and I shoot her a glare.

Before I could fight with Rae, Verra walked in with a garment bag and I let out a relieved sigh.

I gasp as she reveals the dress.

" No, Verra! It's mom's.... " I sigh as I stare at the black dress in front of me.

" All the more reason to wear it Renee. "

" But... "

" It's a big day and I think you should have your mother with you. After all it's her dream you are fulfilling. "

" Yeah and she would have loved to see you in it anyways. "

I nod and carefully pick up the black lace dress and head into the dressing room to change into it. It was mom's own design and one of her favorites. The part till the waist was made of black lace while the rest of it was like a pleated skirt. ( I suck at describing a piece of clothing, so there's a picture on side )

Once I am dressed, I head outside and Rae & Verra gasp.

" You look so much like your mother. It's unbelievable. "

" You look beautiful, Renee. "

I smile at them and brush my hair, leaving them in waves and apply some pink gloss and outline my eyes to give them a smoky look. A pair of black heels and I am done.

Grabbing the files and other stuff that I would need, I head to the garage to take out my car.

" Wow! You look gorgeous Zelmirah."

" Thank-you ." I smile at Maurine and Amelia as they hug me.

Looking around I notice that the look of the ramp was completely changed, it was huge now with a high stage at the start as if for some performer or singer.

" Someone's performing? " I ask Maurine and she shrugs her shoulders at me.

" Come on! We need to go. " She states and I follow her backstage to the part where our models were getting ready.

Three designers were showcasing their designs today , us being one of them. We will be closing the show with our collection which was being shown in two parts - the fall and winter collection.

Zayn

We were going to close the show with our performance which was supposed to be a surprise and I was really excited.

It's going to be like the phone conversations from here - Bold is Zayn and Simple is Zelmirah .

We were in a small green room backstage, getting ready. I had kept my eyes on the screen here to see Renee but I hadn't spotted her till now. I wanted to talk to her so badly but she was not anywhere. This was the last collection being show, someone called - Katherine and we were going to perform for their winter collection.

My eyes were glued to the screen as I saw our models walk out one by one and prayed simultaneously that everything went well . A sigh of relief leaves me as the last model showcasing the spring collection walked out and a round of applause followed . Now it was time for the winter collection and the moment I dreaded so much - going on the stage. For all I knew I will end up falling and making a fool of myself.

The last model for the spring collection walked back inside and the lights from the stage switched off. We made way from the secret door that connected us directly to the stage. Taking positions on the makeshift stage ,we give each other a thumbs up.

I stared at the screen confused as all the lights went out. Every one was talking about what was going on. The models were getting ready and as they lined up, I knew they were onto whatever was about to happen. I am about to ask when the music starts playing suddenly.

The music of the song we had
finalized starts playing.

" Waiting for a girl like you. "

Oh My God. I almost scream when I hear the voice. One Direction.

A cheer reckons through the audience and I smile as the lights are turned on .

" Waiting for a girl like you. "

I had to go on stage with them . Holy shit. The atmosphere around the backstage had literally livened up as everyone was dancing around.

The first model walks to the stage when Liam's part comes.

" The light shines, it's getting hot on my shoulders, I don't mind this time it doesn't matter.. "

I awwww as Liam points at Sophia who was sitting in the front row at the next part.

" cause your friends, they look good and you look better. "

I laugh as Liam points at Sophia. I have always adored their relationship who laughs and waves back. The models walk onto the stage one by one.

I was singing along and dancing around, seeing them made me forget about the panic attack I was on the verge of having.

" Don't you know all night I have been waiting for a girl like you to come around round, round . "

Niall sings the part and I remember thinking the first time I had listened to this song that how there was no Niall and Louis in it. The song was beautiful and suited the runway so well, it was as if it was made for it.

We were having a lot of fun and hopefully the audience was as well . There was a slight possibility of Renee's mom's label being this one because she hadn't come on stage yet and this was the last one. I was really hoping it was.

" Under the lights tonight you turned around and you stole my heart with just one look, when I saw your face I fell in love it took a minute girl to steel my heart tonight, with just one look, yeah I waited for a girl like you... "

We had rerecorded the song to extend it so that it would be long enough for all the models to walk and show the designs.

There were only 5 more models left now as Niall's part came.

" I am weaker my words fall and they hit the ground , all life come on here don't you fail me now . "

Me and Maurine and one of the models - Jenny started dancing as Louis sang the next part.

" I start to say I think I love you but I make no sound you know cause all my life, I have been waiting for a girl like you to come around. "

We all join Harry for his part .

" Under the lights tonight you turned around and you stole my heart with just one look, when I saw your face I fell in love it took a minute girl to steel my heart tonight, with just one look, yeah I waited for a girl like you... "

I take a deep breath as I enter the stage with two models on my side.

Harry nudges me to turn around and my mouth falls open as I see Renee walking onto the ramp with the models. Damn. She looked absolutely gorgeous.

I look up to find Zayn staring at me and I feel my heart beating fast.

Looking in her eyes, I sing the next part.

" There is no place I would rather be then right here with you tonight as we lay on the ground I put my arms around you and we can stay here tonight cause there is so much that I want to say I want to say... "

Why did it feel like he was singing to me? I was blushing and smiling at the same time. His gaze made me forget the applause in the room. This moment couldn't be anymore perfect .

We stand on the sides as she takes a bow with the models by her side and the entire room cheers for them.

I stare shocked as Niall asks for my hand to dance while Harry sang the last verse. By the time the song ended, all my anxiety and worry were out of the window.

I smile as I see her having fun and as the song finishes , I slowly slip by her side and Niall takes the cue.

I stare confused as Niall motions me to look behind me. As I turn, I come face with Zayn smiling at me. Holy crap.

" I told you , you will rock at the fashion show, Didn't I ? "

He whispers in my ear and my eyes go wide as he winks at me and turns around to meet the other designers who I didn't realise had come up on stage.

Oh My God. He knew me. And I was actually talking to The Zayn Malik. But how did he know it was me who he was talking to? And he whispered in my ear. And he sang to me. And I am breathing the same air as One Direction. Oh God! How have I not fainted until now?
