Your POV

I opened my eyes to see myself on a gray hard floor. I stood up, confused to where I was or why I was there. But I soon got my answer.

I was in my own mind.

You: *sigh* What do you want, Bill?

Bill: *appears* C'mon, aren't you even the slightest bit happy to see your old man?

You: Why would I be? Whenever I see you it's because something terrible's about to happen.

Bill: Too smart for your own good. You remind me of your mother.

You: ... Why am I here?

Bill: You already know my plans for this world.

You: How can I not? Your way of destroying this dimension is throwing a party. It's like mom used to say: you never grew up.

Bill: It's not too late to join me, Firestone...

You: Join you? No thanks. I'd rather die than kill my friends.

Bill: *now angry* You would choose your friends over your own father?!? *flies to float in front of you* I created you!!! If it weren't for me, you wouldn't even exist!!! You wouldn't have met your precious little... Pinetree either.

You: *glare at Bill* Leave. Dipper. Out of this.

Bill: He's a huge part of this!!! He's the reason you stay among the humans!!!

You: So?!? I like Dipper, and his friends and family!!! They were more like a family to me than you'll ever be!!! *walk closer, a cold death glare on your face* You might've created me, but you'll never EVER be my father.

Bill: ... *scoffs* So that's how it's gonna be, huh? *floats high in the air, holding the rift* Let's just see what happens when you disrespect your father.

He squished the rift into ash with his fist, and the whole place was engulfed in flames. I was unamused at first, fire had to affect on me.

Until I heard the yells and screams for help.

Dipper's screams...

My blood was cold and I started to sweat, my heart beating at a rapid paste do to fear.

I ran into the flames yelling his name. But the more I ran, the more distant his voice became. And the last thing I heard was one last bloodcurdling scream of pain.

My heart broke into pieces, and I felt hot tears falling down my face as I held in sobs.

He wasn't dead.

He did not just die.

He didn't...

He didn't!!!

HE DIDN'T!!!

...

...

...

I sat up with a sudden jolt. I could feel the tears still running down my face as I tried to steady my breathing. I wiped them away, remembering the thought if Dipper.

Wait...

DIPPER!!!

I jumped out of my bed and ran downstairs as fast as I could, almost tripping and falling down the stairs. I found him holding a list as he chewed a pen.

But instead of calming down, the memories of my nightmare kept replaying in my mind.

He noticed me, but didn't look up. "Oh, morning, (y/n)!!! Mabel and I were just discussing the party supplies for our thirteenth birthday in a few-..." He finally looked up and his eyes widened.

I felt my legs go weak as tears flowed faster down my face and sobs started escaping me again. I started to fall to my knees, but Dipper quickly grabbed me, and with both sat on the ground as I hugged him tightly and buried my face in his shoulder, loud sobs escaping my lips.

Dipper: Whoa whoa hey...! What happened...?

You: Th-th-the-th-there w-w-w-was...

Dipper: *pulls away and gently cups your cheek* Hey, calm down... Take a deep breath...

You: *take a shaky deep breath, feeling calmer*

Dipper: Now tell me what happened...

You: ... I had this... n-nightmare... And I was talking to Bill in it... But-... but then... he... he...

Dipper: He...?

You: ... h-he killed you...

Dipper: !!!

You: A-a-and I tried to s-save you, but I couldn't and-... I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry...!!!

Dipper: Shh... it's ok... I'm here... I'm ok...

You: ... *hug him tightly*

Dipper: *hugs you back tightly*

Dipper's hugs were always so warm and comforting, and I felt safe in his embrace... After a while of hugging, we suddenly saw a sudden light flash nearby.

Mabel, holding her camera.

Of course.

She grinned and skipped away, and I noticed Dipper roll his eyes as his cheeks turned red, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

I gently kissed his cheek, making him turn even darker.

Dipper: ...

You: Thanks for making me feel better, I needed it...

Dipper: *smiles warmly* Of course...

You: I'm gonna go change, I'll be right back.

And with that, I went back upstairs. But as much as I tried, the memories wouldn't go away. Bill was close to getting that rift, and if he succeeded-...

That's best not to be said...

After I took a relaxing shower and felt a lot more relaxed, I went downstairs. Mabel was wearing some sunglasses and a sombrero, Dipper had a checklist and pen, and Soos had a piñata.

Mabel: Alright, party planners, in one week we become teenagers and our summer vacation winds to an end, so we need to throw the greatest party of all time!!! I'm talking piñatas with tinier piñatas inside!!!

Soos: *as he pores candy into a piñata* Boom, dreams coming true!!!

Mabel: I'm talking inviting everyone in town!!! *takes Dipper's notebook and pen* Let's see, where do we stand with the gnomes...?!?

Stan: *enters* Not so fast, doofus and girl doofuses. After that zombie incident no one's throwing another party at my house! I keep fighting little bits of the undead in the couch cushion. *throws the bat which you catch*

Mabel: But Grunkle Stan, we need some roof to raise!!!

Soos: What about renting the Gravity Falls high school gym?!?  That place is empty all summer long!!!

Mabel: The gym's a great idea, Soos!!!

You: To the high school!!!

Suddenly the ground shook harshly making us all scream before we heard Ford yell: "Dipper, (y/n), my face is on fire!!!" making us run out of the room.

Dipper's POV

We ran to the room Ford was in.

Dipper: Great uncle Ford, are you ok?!?

Ford: Oh yes, I'm fine. I just said that to make sure you'd come in here quickly.

Dipper: But your face is on fire!

You: *snap your fingers making the fire disappear*

Ford: Ah, thank you, (y/n). Now listen, kids, we have a very important mission and you are the only one that can help me. *takes out the rift orb* Remember the rift in dimensional space time I showed you? It's cracking. This is what Bill has been waiting for, if it breaks it would cause reality as we know it to completely unravel! A hypothetical and catastrophic event-

You: Weirdmageddon...

Dipper: *stares at the chalkboard in shock, then looks at you in concern*

Ford: Bill is out there, and he'd use any trick, from deception to outright possession to make this happen. But for the sake of humanity we mustn't let it!

Dipper: What do we do?!?

Ford: We patch the rift. *puts the rift orb in a case* I'll explain on the way.

Dipper: Oh wait, what about Mabel?!?

Mabel: *by the door holding two bags* It's ok, Dipper. You should totally go with Grunkle Ford to save the world or whatever!

Dipper: Are you sure?

Mabel: We're gonna be doing birthday junk all week! Plus I packed us bags! Here's one for my party mission and one for your smarty mission!

You: I'll stay with Mabel, we'll keep in touch incase anything happens.

Dipper: *nods*

Ford: *clears his throat* I did mention that the fate of the universe is at stake, didn't I? Hurry, we haven't much time!

Dipper: *whispers to himself* Ok Dipper, it's your first big mission with Ford, a chance to prove yourself!

You: Good luck, Pine!

Dipper: *blushes and smiles before following Ford*

Your POV

We left to go to the school gym. When we entered there was a lot of people in lines.

Mabel: Whoa, I thought Soos said this place was empty!

You: It usually is.

Wendy: *from the line* My dogs, what up!

Mabel: *runs over followed by you and Soos* Wendy!!! What are you doing here?!?

Wendy: *groans* High school registration.

Mabel: Ooh!!! *wraps an arm around you* You know we're only a year away from high school ourselves!!! *moves her arm away* Would you say your experience is more rom-com or wacky rom?!?

Wendy: More like teen horror movie!!! High school is the worst!!! Classes get super hard, your body just flat out turns against you, and worst of all, everybody hates you!!! *points at the angry, scared, sad teens in the other side of the room*

Mabel: Why aren't they singing about following their dreams?!? Tv taught me that high school is like some sort of musical!

Wendy: Tv lied, man!!! If you could avoid growing up, do it!!! I'd give anything to be twelve again... Anyways, what are you guys doing here?

Mabel: Oho, just looking for a place to have my 13th birthday party...

You: *put your hand on Mabel's shoulder*

Man: Wendy-... Boarduroy? I-I mean Corduroy?

Teens: *laugh at Wendy*

Wendy: *growls* See what I mean? *goes over to the table*

Mabel: ... *goes outside*

You: *follow Mabel and see her talking to the walkie talkie as she sits in the steps*

Mabel: Master Mabel to Dippity Dog, we can have our party at the gym but we gotta talk about high school... I'm starting to think it might not be he awesome future we were expecting, over...

Dipper: *through the walkie talkie as his voice sounds through the static* I'm going through a bad patch, Mabel. We'll talk when I get back.

Mabel: Dipper?!? Come in?!? Come in?!? *sigh*

You: Hey, don't worry, I'm sure it's not as bad as it seems.

Mabel: I don't know, (y/n)...

You: Reassuring friend hug?

Mabel: *looks at you sadly*

You: *raise your arms for a hug*

Mabel: *hugs you*

You: And if things do turn south, you still have Pine watching your back.

Mabel: I wish you could move to California with us.

You: Uh, I think you and Dipper are already hard to control, I don't think they'd like a human torch too.

Mabel: ...

You: I know what will cheer you up. Let's deliver some invites to your friends, ok?

Mabel: *pulls away* Yeah!

The first house we went to was Grenda's. I stayed in the car with Soos, but I could hear the conversation.

Mabel: *knocks on the door*

Grenda: *opens the door* Oh hi Mabel!!!

Candy: *walks out with Grenda*

Grenda: You're just in time for our one o'clock boy talk!!!

Mabel: If you think that's good... *shows her friends the birthday invitation* Boom!!! Me and Dipper's 13th birthday jam!!!

Grenda: *takes the invitation* Aw man, your birthday's in the last day of summer?!? I'm not gonna be here!!!

Mabel: What...?!?

Grenda: Marius is flying me out to Austria to hang out at his castle or whatever that week. He's so clingy!!!

Mabel: You're gonna be out of town for my birthday...?!? But at least you can come, right Candy?!?

Candy: Sorry Mabel, my parents send me to music camp this time of year. There is no escape from music.

Mabel: So neither of you are gonna be at my birthday party...?!? And you want be able to wish me goodbye at the end of summer...?!?

Candy and Grenda: *hug Mabel*

Candy: I'm sorry, Mabel...

Grenda: Summer happened so fast... *picks her now ringing phone* Ugh, Marius!!! Now's not the time!!! *picks it up and goes back inside*

Candy: *pulls away*

Mabel: I think I need to radio for emotional back up... *starts walking to the car* Dipper, please come in, our party mission is going down in flames, over... *hears the static and sighs, then enters the car*

You: I'm so sorry, M...

Mabel: It's ok, it's not your fault...

We arrived home. I had never seen Mabel in such a sad mood. We went to our room, she laud on the floor looking through her scrapbook with Waddles beside her.

Stan: *enters* Hey, everything alright, pumpkin?

Mabel: *sigh* I just can't believe the summer's almost over... And now that I know how awful high school is going to be I'm in no hurry to start that train wreck...

Stan: Ah, nobody likes getting older, but just because you're growing up doesn't mean you have to grow up, you know? I mean look at me! I'm pushing seventy and I still eat ice cream for diner!

Mabel: But I don't want to say goodbye to Gravity Falls...

Stan: Hey, at least whatever happened this summer you'll still have your brother along with you through think and thin. Not everyone can say that, you know? *ruffles Mabel's hair, then leaves*

Mabel: ... I need to go to the bathroom... *leaves*

I threw myself on the mattress and letted out a sigh.

Poor Mabel...

I started to hear static coming from Mabel's backpack. I got her walkie talkie, and began to hear Dipper and Ford's voices.

Ford: Listen to me, Dipper. This town is a magnet for things that are special, and that includes you and me. It brought both of us here for a purpose. Stay here with me, Dipper. Become my apprentice, don't let anyone hold you- *coughs*

Dipper: I'll do it. I'm gonna stay.

Ford: Excellent! Now who wants to save the world, apprentice?

He was staying to become Ford's apprentice. You would think that would make me happy, but becoming Ford's apprentice would mean that he would stay down in the basement 24/7 so it would be like he wasn't there.

I turn around to see Mabel who seemed like she had been stabbed through the heart as tears formed in her eyes. I didn't know what to say at this point, I just hugged her as she cried.

She then said she wanted to be alone so I left the room. Later on I saw Dipper with a joyful grin on his face. He went to his room and after a minute I could hear them arguing.

Soon after, she ran outside. I immediately ran after, but by the time I made it outside, I had already lost sight of her.

I turned to go back inside when a familiar voice echoed loudly, and the world around me began to change...

No...

Dipper and Ford we shortly beside me.

Dipper: What's going on?!?!?!?

Ford: We're too late!!!

You: ... It's the end of the world...
