Prologue
HONK!
CRASH!
That's all she remembered from that day, the bright lights that were coming towards her before everything turned white. That moment in time was the day she was to be wed to her best friend, all of that was gone.
The year was 845 BC, in Egypt, the city was bustling with life and the people were going about their days. The merchants were busy trying to sell their items at inflated costs, the children were playing in the front of the houses lining the streets or working in the fields.
The women and men were trying to get by in the city as it was. But in the distance was the grand palace, made of granite, and other stones that were deemed rare. Inside the palace was the large hall that led to the throne room where two chairs sat.
One chair was empty while the other had someone, a woman dressed in the finest silk and jewels one could never imagine, she had a crown on her head made of pure gold with more gems and the carving of a phoenix in the middle.
The doors opened again, and two guards dragged in a man who was tattered and torn with cuts and bruises as if he had gotten caught by someone. His clothes were falling off his body almost melting and merging with his skin from the hot sun.
"Why have you brought this... Man here?" The woman asked the guards who let the man slump to the floor.
"This man had been caught stealing from a young woman My Pharoah, he is also responsible for the lost item that you have been seeking." One of the guards said.
The woman could only look at the man in disgust and disdain, with only coldness in her eyes she made a hand motion that caused the man to freak and scream but it was cut short because the sound of a sickle was heard ringing, and a dull thump to the ground as the man's head landed a few feet in front of the woman, staring at her with fear and shock in his eyes. But all the man could now see was RED.
