Chapter 2
Once to 100 Edmund starts searching, not caring if he finds anyone. He enters their study room and notices a pile of papers on Peter's usual work desk. Curious, he approaches and examines the paper on top. It is an envelope, with an odd symbol on it. It is separated into four parts, each part with an animal in it. The upper left has a lion, the upper right has a snake. The lower creatures Edmund struggles to pinpoint. He believes (and is correct) that the lower left is a badger. The lower right he notices is a bird, but he is unsure of what kind. Above the symbol reads one word in bold letters, Hogwarts. Edmund is curious to know what the letter is about so he calls out Peters name in hopes of getting him. A few minutes later Peter, Susan and Lucy arrive. "What is it?" Susan asks. "Peter, you have a letter.... from... Hogwarts," Edmund says. Peter furrows his eyebrows in confusion. "Hogwarts? I've never heard of such a place!" He exclaims. "Neither have I, that's why I decided to ask you if you knew anything about it," Edmund says. Susan observes the envelope. "Fascinating, a lion, snake, badger and eagle," she says. "I wonder what they mean?" Edmund asks. Susan shrugs. Peter grabs the envelope and tears it open, revealing what is inside. After a few minutes Lucy pipes up, "What does it say?!" Peter then reads it aloud, "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, Headmaster : Dear Mr. Pevensie, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. "Where on earth are you supposed to get all your supplies?" Susan asks, Lucy and Edmund nod in agreement. "How am I supposed to know?" Peter asks in response. "Do you think mum would know?" Lucy asks. "We could try asking her," Susan answers. "Well, lets go then," Peter announces as they all head down to the living room, where their mother is reading.
