It is an extraordinary day in July, 1938 for the Pevensie family. They are playing hide and seek throughout their decent sized house. Peter, the eldest of four, at age 11, is desperately searching for his younger siblings. Susan is a year younger than Peter, making her 10. Edmund is two years younger than Susan, making him 8. And finally, Lucy, who is two years younger than Edmund, is 6. "A very annoying age," in Edmunds opinion. Peter continues to search for them, looking behind a curtain and finding Edmund. "Not so clever, are you?" He asks. "Shut up," Edmund states fiercely. "You do not tell me to shut up," Peter replies in an irritated tone. A few rooms down Lucy and Susan are listening carefully to Peter and Edmunds conversation. "Are they fighting again?" Lucy asks Susan worriedly. "No Lucy, they are arguing, that's normal for them," Susan simply states in response. "Okay, will I ever argue with you?" Lucy then asks, full of concern. "Yes," Susan says. Lucy lowers her head. "Well, Peter has at least found someone so I'm going to put an end to their arguing," Susan announces, stomping off towards the two boys, Lucy following. "Stop arguing you two! We're just trying to play a game and you two ruin it!" Susan yells as she slows to a stop. Peter and Edmund both look at her with guilty faces. "Sorry," Peter mutters. Edmund remains quiet. Peter nudges his shoulder harshly, signaling him to apologize too. "Sorry," he whispers. Susan nods, thinking about her next words carefully. "Now, will we be able to play another round without you two getting into an argument?" She decides to ask. They both nod unconvincingly. "We'll try," Susan says. "Edmund, I found you first so you count," Peter says. "Okay," Edmund replies as he turns around to face a wall and starts counting to 100. Peter hides under a bed(with much difficulty). Susan hides in an empty trunk. Lastly, Lucy hides in a kitchen cupboard.
