Chapter Sixteen
The moment the pack doctor cleared me, panic flooded my mind and set my heart racing. My hands were so sweaty, I kept wiping them off on my pants every few minutes as I made my way out of the hospital.
Everyone was outside. It was an absolutely beautiful day, not too hot or too cold this time. It felt so much calmer than the chaos in my mind and it made it seem that much worse.
I didn't know what scared me more: Derek coming to the pack and finding out that I was still alive or being claimed by a man I barely knew. One was certainly preferable, but I'd rather just keep going the way I have for the last few weeks.
It went by in a bit of a blur. One moment I was walking into Xavier's house, my mind set on scouring the library, and then next I was waking up on the couch.
My eyes snapped up to my alpha hovering over me with concern in his eyes. He slowly moved his hand away from my arm and stood fully. "Are you alright? I wasn't expecting to find you home yet," he said.
I blew out a heavy breath and nodded. "I asked them to clear me as soon as possible. I hate sitting in that hospital, too many bad memories," I mumbled. A low groan escaped my lips as I pushed myself up. Whatever position I fell asleep in was not a good one; every inch of my body ached terribly.
He hummed in response, offering me a hand that I took gratefully. He helped me up, his eyes quickly flicking over me. "You sure you're okay?"
I nodded. "Just a bit sore." When he still didn't look convinced, I rolled my eyes and patted his shoulder. "I promise."
"Okay, I was heading in for the night, do you still want to sleep in my room?" he asked.
A smile tugged at my lips and I nodded. I couldn't quite believe that the man who almost killed me yesterday was the same one in front of me. He was so gentle and kind and there wasn't even a twinge of fear in me at that moment.
He pulled me in by my waist to place a soft kiss on my forehead then nudged me towards the stairs. Someone had already fixed the railing, but I quickly learned the paint was still wet. "Fuck," I muttered, yanking my hand away and staring down at it in disbelief.
Xavier laughed, motioning for me to keep going up. "Don't worry, it'll wash off," he chuckled.
I frowned in annoyance but nodded, continuing up the stairs. My heart was racing as Xavier's bedroom door came into view. I couldn't tell if it was excitement or dread that set my stomach churning; the events of a few nights ago were spinning my thoughts into a horrible whirlwind.
I paused in the hall, but my alpha didn't seem to notice. He stepped around me and opened the door, gesturing for me to enter first. I moved slowly. My eyes flitted up to look at his face as I walked past him; a low growl rumbled in his chest and vibrated through me as my gaze met his.
I only made it half a meter into the room before the door shut and my back was pushed up against it. Xavier's body trapped mine and I could feel all of him pressing into me. I sucked in a shaky breath when his thumb traced lightly along my jaw, surprisingly gentle.
"I am so sorry for the hurt I caused you little wolf," he whispered against my temple.
I closed my eyes, leaning into his hand. "I'm okay Xavier," I told him, and then his lips brushed against my own.
Any fears I had, disappeared. The way he touched my face was so soft, it distracted me almost completely from the aggression I could feel writhing inside him. He was pressed firmly against me. I was fully aware of every ridge and hard line of his body.
He bent down to grip my thighs and a small gasp escaped my lips as my feet left the ground. I snaked my arms around his neck, pulling away from the kiss to bury my face in his chest. My back hit the bed and Xavier settled himself between my legs, using his forearms to prop himself up.
He left a molten trail of kisses along my jaw and to the base of my ear. "Please forgive me little wolf," he whispered. He slid my pants off as he went, exposing my skin to the chilly air of the bedroom.
My eyes fluttered shut, a sigh leaving my mouth. His lips moved further downward until his fangs scraped against the delicate skin of my thigh and I cried out. The stinging sensation shot straight to my core; each breath I sucked in shook my chest.
"I forgive you Xavier," I whimpered, writhing under the pressure of his mouth and his tongue between my legs. It was even better than his fingers and I couldn't comprehend the pleasure ripping through my body.
It started to hurt and I shoved his head away but he simply gripped my thighs tighter. My fingers curled into his hair, pulling it until he growled. The vibration sent a shudder up my spine and earned a sharp gasp from me.
I came. Again and again until I was shaking and completely breathless but Xavier didn't stop. A whimpered plea left my lips and he finally lifted his head to look up at me. His lips glistened and I could see my wetness coating his chin. "I'm not finished little wolf," he said, placing a soft kiss on my inner thigh.
"Please Xavier I can't take anymore," I cried. I was almost dizzy with euphoria but each orgasm was slowly becoming painful. It was becoming too much.
He placed another kiss on my hip, then pulled himself up so he was level with my face. "Next time, I will keep eating until I decide you've had enough," he growled out. His lips met mine and my heart skipped a beat when I realized I could taste myself. "You're mine little wolf."
***
My eyes opened slowly. It felt odd, not waking up from a nightmare or being completely confused as to where I was.
Xavier's strong arm was draped over my waist and I could feel his chest pressed against my back. He had tugged his shirt over my head before we fell asleep last night and I felt so at ease surrounded by his scent that my mind slipped into darkness quicker than it ever had before.
"Good morning." His sleep-laden voice made my skin tighten. My lips curled into a smile when he pulled me tighter against his chest, his nose rubbing gently against my neck.
"Good morning," I replied sheepishly. I wasn't wearing anything under his shirt aside from a pair of underwear so when his hand started to wander up to my chest, I sucked in a sharp breath.
I clenched my jaw when his fingers paused just centimeters below my breasts. His voice sounded strained when he suddenly spoke again. "Laian is here."
"Why?"
There was a knock at the door and Xavier slowly sat up, his eyes searching mine. "To lay his claim on you. Your old pack's alpha has already started visiting packs so this needs to be done soon if we're going to keep you safe. And I am very intent on keeping you safe and comfortable Roxanne."
I was certain he could hear my heart banging against my rib cage. I sucked in a shaky breath and let it out as slowly as I could. "Okay."
The door opened. Laian all but strolled into the room; his demeanor was just as calm and collected as the first time I met him. It settled my nerves almost instantly.
Xavier moved over me, completely blocking my view of the other man. "Can you trust me again?" he asked.
I nodded. My eyes widened as he leaned down to capture my lips in a very passionate kiss. His hands found my wrists and dragged them over his shoulders. I looped them around his neck and pulled him closer, my tongue swiping against his. He snaked his arms around my waist and lifted me up.
I broke away, my eyes flitting around wildly as he carried me away from the bed. My gaze locked with Laian's and my body lit up in embarrassment. "What's going on?" I asked, the panic slowly returning.
"This is going to be messy," Xavier murmured. I hissed when my butt landed on the cold countertop of the bathroom. He leaned back to look at my face but kept himself firmly planted between my knees. His body blocked mine from Laian's view, but my spot on the counter gave me a full view of him.
I let my eyes wander across his broad shoulders and down his tattooed skin; they moved past his chest and down to his hips where he—
My breath hitched. His pants were unzipped.
"We can stop whenever you need, okay?" Xavier said, leaning his head so I was forced to catch his eye.
I nodded carefully. I didn't know what was about to happen, I had a vague idea based on the stories I heard from the other omegas, but I had never experienced it myself. So, when Xavier's fingers tugged on the hem of my shirt, I raised my arms and let him pull it over my head.
He kissed me hard, so hard I thought my lips might bruise. My hands ran over the smooth ridges of his muscular torso. My eyes fell closed in the pure bliss that was kissing this man. I could hear Laian's breathing grow faster and my legs instinctively tightened around Xavier's hips, forcing him even closer. His fingers wove into my hair and gripped it tight, earning a sharp gasp in response.
My eyes snapped open as my head was pulled back and he broke the kiss. Xavier trailed harsh, open-mouthed kisses across my jaw and down towards my neck. Curiosity got the best of me at the strange cacophony of sounds echoing in the bathroom and I let my gaze fall to Laian once more.
My eyes wandered down to where he stroked his very large erection, then quickly snapped up to his face. His eyes locked with mine instantly. My breathing quickened just as his did, and that terrible tingling pressure between my legs grew. Between one man sucking on my neck and the other watching while pleasuring himself, I couldn't keep my thoughts from spinning wildly out of control. It felt so surreal.
Xavier pulled back again and I stared at him, completely breathless as I squirmed with discomfort. I needed friction. I needed his fingers, his mouth—I needed something. But I wanted something else first. I wanted to satisfy the urge in the back of my mind.
"Can I touch him?" I asked. My alpha's eyes turned black at my request and his hand slipped around my neck. He tugged me forward, leaning in close to my ear. I could barely breathe now.
"I will let him claim you to keep you safe, but you're mine, little wolf. Please don't test my restraint any further or there will be consequences," he growled, his voice barely above a whisper.
My cheeks flushed and my face went hot. All I could manage was a tiny nod, my words stuck in my throat. "But I'll let you watch," he said and my eyes flew wide as my feet touched the floor and suddenly I was facing Laian with Xavier at my back.
The man's fist moved faster as my alpha slipped his hand into my underwear. I gasped, my mouth opening in a wordless 'o' as I finally got what my body needed. Xavier used his free hand to pull my hair to one side before kissing just under my jaw. My interest in Laian vanished into wisps as I drowned in the pleasure my alpha brought to me so easily.
I closed my eyes, letting my head fall back onto his shoulder as I shamelessly rode his fingers. "Don't move little wolf, he's almost there," Xavier said, nipping at my ear.
I barely understood his words but did as I was told. I heard Laian groan and then something warm and sticky covered my bare chest. My eyes snapped open and I tried to look down, but Xavier held my throat and forced my head back again. "All done little wolf, I think you deserve a reward for being such a good girl," he growled, curling his fingers in deeper to punctuate his words.
I cried out in pleasure, my hands clawing at his arms. My legs were shaking so badly I thought I might collapse. They grew weaker with each thrust of his fingers. "You're mine Roxanne, don't you dare forget that."
The feeling was so intense. His hand gently squeezing my throat combined with his thumb rubbing my clit sent me into complete oblivion. The cry that left my throat was nearly a scream as I came all over my alpha's hand. He let me ride out the orgasm before slowly withdrawing his fingers and releasing my neck.
My legs were useless, Xavier held my entire weight as I leaned back on him. "Let's get you cleaned up little one," he whispered, kissing the side of my head.
I let him carry me into the shower and sit me down on the bench inside. He washed Laian's sticky mess off of my skin and explained that his scent was all over me now. It would stay there for weeks, no matter how much I scrubbed. The only way to remove it before then was to overpower it with a stronger male's scent. All that was left to do was get me collar to officially mark me as a claimed omega. I remember the ones at my old pack would wear them so they wouldn't be assaulted. Well, except for the wolf that claimed them. Xavier assured me I didn't have to wear the collar until the day Derek showed his face here though. I wasn't an omega here so there was no need to.
It took me a very long and very hot shower to fully process what had just happened. I couldn't quite decide my feelings on it; it was exciting and felt wonderful, but I couldn't help the embarrassment that came with it. I'm glad we hadn't discussed it beforehand. I knew it needed to be done, but the idea of all of that was much worse than the reality I actually experienced.
Xavier wrapped me up in a fluffy towel, waving a hand in front of my absent stare. I tore myself aware from my thoughts and glanced up at his frowning face. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, surprisingly okay," I told him, offering a smile when he still looked unsure.
"Laian's claim doesn't change anything about where you are in the pack, I want you to remember that Roxanne."
I nodded. "Okay, I can do that," I said.
He put his hands on either side of my face and planted a long kiss on my forehead. "And I promise you, once all this business with your old pack is finished, I will replace his claim with my own."
