It was lunch time. Eliza wasn't as angry as she was earlier, but she still felt a bit irritated. She was now standing in line, waiting as patiently as she could to get her lunch. When it was finally her turn, Eliza grabbed the first thing she saw and sat down at an empty table, glad to be alone after such a long day.
While Eliza had A lunch, the first lunch of the day, Chase had B lunch. She didn't want to admit it, but she was happy that they didn't have the same lunch period together. Last year, she always used to sit by herself during lunch, while her friends sat at another table. Eliza liked to eat her lunch by herself, especially in school.
Taking a bite of her peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, she flinched when a loud screech blasted throughout the cafeteria. Everyone's conversations stopped. Their attention was solely and fully focused on the two people in the center of the cafeteria.
Almost choking on her food, Eliza struggled to listen on the conversation between Jason and Eliza while she tried not to make it that noticeable.
"B-But you can't break up with me!" Amber shrieked, throwing herself over-top of Jason. Eliza clenched her teeth and tried to control the arising jealously inside of her. "We were meant to be!"
She heard Jason scoff silently. "It's final. I don't have to tell you why I'm breaking up with you. It's my choice."
Eliza's heart skipped a beat as she eagerly listened to Amber's reply. "You will regret this!" Amber threatened. From afar she could see how she truly meant her words. "Alexander won't like this!"
"Fuck Alexander," Jason said, paling up at the mention of his name.
Suddenly Amber gasped, too dramatically. "I know the real reason why your breaking up with me!"
"Oh, and what is that?" Jason rolled his eyes, saying the words sarcastically.
"It was that girl!" She practically spat, pointing in Eliza's direction. "That girl that you were hugging this morning!"
Automatically, everyone's gaze was turned onto her. They whispered loudly, which soon turned out into mean and hateful comments.
"Eliza has nothing to do with this!" Jason snapped angrily, pushing Amber out of his way. He went to where Eliza was sitting and grabbed her hand.
"Let me go!" She protested nervously, not liking all of the sudden attention, including Amber's. She was staring at Eliza with such hatred and animosity while she was pulled out of the cafeteria, it frightened her. "Jason where are you taking me?"
Before Eliza could even blink, Jason had her pressed against the lockers. Blushing at the proximity between them, she tried to pull away from him even though her whole body did not want to.
"You're mine," Jason growled possessively, kissing her with everything that he had inside of him.
---
Frustratedly, Amber let out a scowl of anger and stomped to her seat, where all of her friends were. All of them had their faces in complete shock, some of them even had anger and a twinge of jealously in them.
"I cannot believe Jason!" Mariah, one of her faithful friends said with a hint of sympathy. In response, Amber clenched her teeth and started scheming on ways to get Jason back, and how to ruin that whore, Eliza.
"I'm going to fucking ruin that bitch." Amber fumed, pressing her nails onto the palm of her hand. She was so, so furious. "Jason was suppose to be mine!"
"I know," Mariah agreed, as did the other girls at the table. "You guys looked totally perfect together."
"I'm telling Alexander," Amber declared, whipping out her cell phone. The girls around her gasped and started whispering furiously to the person next to them. They knew that Alexander was not a person to be dealt with— he was dangerous and could ruin your life in a blink of an eye. He was a criminal, after all.
Amber swore the girls to secrecy when she told them. Not like they could do anything anyways. They knew the power that Alexander had. Amber took advantage of that as well.
"What are you going to do?" Chelsea, one of the more sensitive girls asked. Rolling her eyes, amber refrained from snapping at her and calmly answered.
"Like I said before," Amber said slowly, dangerously. "I'm going to ruin that bitch."
Mariah smirked, knowing how evil her friend could get once she was mad.
Amber searched through her contacts and hit Alexander's phone number, already scheming a devious plan for Eliza.
"Hello?" Alexander answered, his voice sounding gruffy and irritated.
"Alexander, babe," Amber greeted while the girls tried to listen in their conversation. "We have a problem..."
---
Eliza tried as much as she could to resist Jason as he hungrily kissed her with such passion and intensity. Her heart beat quickened as she tried to take control of the situation.
Suddenly, Eliza couldn't take it anymore. This was what she was craving over the summer. She needed this, just as much as Jason needed her. At the moment, Eliza forgot about everything. She forgot that she was in school. She forgot that she had a boyfriend, and that she was cheating on him.
All she focused on was kissing Jason, and his sweet loving self. Their mouths explored each others with such hunger, want, and lust that they didn't even notice the snap of photos being taken around them.
Jason seperated, breathing heavily and rested his head on Eliza's forehead, staring into her eyes with no emotion. He loved what just happened— he wanted it to happen over and over and over again, until he was about to pass out.
"Go out with me," He whispered, staring at her red, swollen lips. "Be my girlfriend."
Stunned, Eliza tried to calm her racing heart and her body which was filled with lust, and pushed Jason away with every ounce of self control she had left inside of her.
"No." It pained her to say it, so much. Her heart slowly broke, the same way it did earlier but this time with more force and effect. "I have a boyfriend."
"It doesn't seem like it." Jason replied, his voice void of any emotion. Truthfully he was affected deeply that she had said no. He liked her so much, and he wanted to be with her. He couldn't believe that she had said no when they were kissing so intimately a couple seconds ago.
"Well believe it." Eliza struggled to say, trying not to cry. "Whatever we had at the beginning of the summer is over."
Jason flinched. "You promised that we would try.." He whispered, his voice cracking. Eliza swallowed, trying to push away the growing lump in her throat. Tears overflowed in her eyes as one, lone simple tear slowly slid down her cheek. Before Jason could notice it, she wiped it away, breathing deeply before composing herself.
"I'm sorry." Was all she could say before she ran away from him.
More tears slid down Eliza's face as she sobbed, running through the schools hallway. Students looked at her with curiosity, wondering why she was crying during the school day.
Eliza didn't know why she kept on denying the obvious attraction towards Jason. They both liked each other, and she kept on pushing that away. What was her problem?
She didn't want to admit it, but she had a boyfriend. A guy who wasn't Jason. But she didn't want that.
What kind of a person would she be if she broke up with Chase after he willingly came with her just so they could stay together? That was just plain cruel. Eliza didn't want to do that to a guy like Chase.
---
Not once, in Alexanders short lifetime, had he felt so angry, so menacingly furious. The anger was up to a certain level that he would kill anyone who rose it up even higher.
Never, had anyone defied Alexander or his father. They knew what would happen if they did. Whoever they cared about would die, slowly, and painfully until they fixed whatever they have done.
But of course, stupid little Jason didn't know that. He was a new member to Alexander's group. He didn't know what would happen if he didn't listen, or defied his orders.
And that's what Alexander was going to do. He warned Jason, during their encounter at the park that once he agreed he wouldnt and couldn't get out of it. Meaning, that once he started dating amber, there's was no going out of it or else hell would come.
What Alexander had asked of him was simple. Usually when he made deals like these, he forced the person to do something illegal, dangerous, something that was life-threatening to prove their loyalty to him.
But Jason, he was lucky, so so lucky. Alexander wanted someone to entertain his special, close benefited friend, Amber. But he broke up with her, which made him absolutely furious with rage.
Alexander would show Jason what will happen to him and the people he cared about. He would make him regret the moment he defied Alexander until the point he was on his knees, begging for mercy and forgiveness. And he would start with the girl that made Jason break up with Amber.
Eliza.
