You (Zacky)
Zacky looked at him, a softness in her bright lavender eyes. He was everything to her. A brightness in the dark that constantly rolled through the castle grounds. He made the foggy days clear, bringing with him clarity and warmth. He was something she didn't even know she had needed.
Never before had she seen Ren walk the Manor halls so freely. She'd always stayed tucked in her room, isolating herself from the world and all of it's experiences. Now, Ren actively participated in the everyday life of the castle. Often times with a smile dancing on her lips. The bitter cold of the overwhelming emotions she'd once had to fight alone no longer haunted her.
Jase, the ever violent and angry individual that she was, had calmed to a level Zacky had never seen. She had finally been accepted for who she was, without having to make any kind of moderations. Come to think of it, it had been quite a while since she'd found a shredded carcass of one of her protected wildlife creatures. Meaning simply that Jase hadn't lost her shit in awhile. Zacky was shocked that someone had managed to calm the beast as much as they had.
Percy never had a bad thing to say against him. Which was strange, as the man always looked at the dire side of things. If Percy approved of him, then it was truly a miracle that he'd come into their life.
Cole never sees the good in anybody. No matter how amazing they may seem he always believes there's an ulterior motive behind it all. But even Cole, the one who always has something negative to say, doesn't mention his name often.
It truly seems as if everyone has accepted this man into our circle without a second thought. As if, he was always meant to be here. He has been an essential being from the day we met him. Showing immense kindness in a world of hate and loathing. Being willing to teach the young, stupid, and naïve even when he had no obligation to do so. Most people would shake their head at the rookie and laugh, not wanting to get their hands dirty to show them how to do it properly. But this man, he stepped up and taught.
Over the next several months we decided to get to know this man who had taken the time out of his day to acknowledge us. We made the decision to follow him further into our career choice, looping both the passion for fighting fire and this soul into one. Growing closer to him and excelling at our training.
He was somebody we could rely on, the one person we had broken down with. Trusted enough to tell anything to. Could spend hours everyday together and never wish to be apart. Even when we were forced to stay away, we never lost touch. Always fighting to keep him in our life. Refusing to let the light diminish.
This man is still all these things to this day, but even more so. He is the reason Ren walks with confidence. The calm in Jase's anger. The reasonable behind Percy's skeptical. The positive over Cole's negative. The joy behind Zacky's smile.
Do not undermine your value to me and the crew Darling. You help me in more ways than you may realize. My love evolved for you over the time I knew you. It became deeper, stronger, to the point I could no longer be away from you. You make me happy. You provide everything I need in a partner and then some. You've taught me more than just firefighting. I've learned how to love myself because of you. You've given me things that I never thought I would have.
How you love me is so unconditional I truly don't think it could ever be matched, nor will it. You are stuck with me, and that's not to be taken lightly. My loyalty to the one's I love is something fierce. But Jeremy, I more than love you. You are the match of my soul. The edge pieces to an uncontained jigsaw of a puzzle. I don't want to endure life without you.
I always thought I could do everything by myself. That if I had to rely on someone, or confide in another, that I would be weak. To grow up with a mindset that I'm better off as an individual, without need for help in anything, was a hard thing to demolish. But having you, someone I trust wholeheartedly, is more than I could've ever imagined it to be.
