Wow a Lawyer! That's really cool. You must be very busy most times. How do you still get time to write?

Now that's a question I have been asked a lot. I write at midnight. Once I'm done with all my work, I write to unwind. It's not easy, but my boys call to me.

Ah, that call is extremely hard to resist, I suppose. Do you find peace in writing?

I rather go into a different dimension where there is romance, suspense, tragedy, and more. So simply two people in love.

That's beautiful. Seems like a really wonderful place. When did you first realize you wanted to write?

When I was 5 years old. That's when I started writing. I have this vivid imagination.

My parents encouraged me. Well, obviously, I didn't take it up seriously until the age of 15. That's when I started writing these short novellas.

Wow. That's really amazing. Must have been great having your parent's support. Do you mean most of the books you've published on Wattpad were written when you were 15?

Nope. None of them are on Wattpad. It's all handwritten.

Do you have any intention of publishing them?

It'll be nice to see what your 15 year old mind was like.

Hahahahaha, obviously, I'd change the grammar. I am sure I'd cringe when I read them. I can't believe I let my cousin read them. Haha. Well she was sweet enough to say that it was good.

Many of your books are Romance. Is that the only genre you write?

Black is Romance. Untameable is more of Thriller and Mystery with subtle romance. It's a story about healing. Lan Zhan's Untamed is more fantasy based.

Hmmm, so what are the genres you like to read?

Ah, well Fanfiction, Fantasy, Romance. These three genres are something I love to read.

Lol me too. What inspired you to write Untameable?

One of my readers made this request and asked me if I would care to write a theme-based book where Yibo is a cop and Xiao Zhan has some supernatural powers.

Well. I loved the basic theme and from then on, I created the world Untameable world.

That reader must've been so happy to see her idea come to life. What generated your love for Yibo and Xiao Zhan?

I am a huge fan of the series called The Untamed. They're the main actors who share an amazing onscreen and off-screen relationship. You could say the entire fandom is in awe of them. That's how I got my inspiration.

Awww, that's so cute. You have definitely made me a fan! How do you select your other characters? Are they also actors and actresses?

If you're asking me about Untameable, then Dre/Adrian is Yang Yang. That cutie pie has the sweetest smile in existence. He's a Chinese actor. The rest are all either Korean or Chinese actors.

If you're asking how I base my characters' temperaments, then I'd say Adrian's character is more like mine. When it comes to my friends, I am super protective.

Well that's super sweet. What is the main thing you try to express through your writing? In Untameable and in general.

That love is gender-less. You can love anyone and everyone. When I write, it's all about showing true emotions. How love can make someone so vulnerable but at the same time absolutely strong. Communication, loyalty and faith is what I love to depict.

What was the hardest scene to write in Untameable? Unless you've not written it yet, considering the book is ongoing.

Well, yes, the most difficult scenes are the child abuse scenes, and even though they're not explicit, they're still sad. There are scenes when you have these characteristics depicting extreme pain. They hurt me a lot.

It's really difficult to read this book, because it's way different from what I write. Now, mostly, I write only romance but this has very subtle romance and more pain.

I can relate. They were really painful scenes.

I believe once you're determined, there's nothing you can't do. So, I believe that you'll be able to do this book justice. *thumbs up*

What do you do while writing? Eat, listen to music or do you need absolute silence?

I either listen to Instrumental music or prefer absolute silence.

I eat and listen to music. I only need silence when I have a hard time acting out the scene in my head.

Who's your favorite artist then?

I listen to a lot of Korean and Chinese music. My favorite currently are the EXOs.

There are so many great musicians out there. It's quite difficult to point out to just one.

Can you tell us one thing you learned while creating your books?

I learned communication is important. How one can simply love without any expectations and can accept just being in love.

What does your family think of your writing?

Well, my maternal side are all authors. My great grandfather was a very famous poet. My mom is an author. My uncle writes poems so does my cousin.

Lol it runs in the family, I see. So, what do you like to do when you're not writing?

I am into MMA, so I am a Kickboxer. I am currently learning Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Wrestling.

Oh yes and I did suffer one from 2015 to 2019

Well every writer probably suffer at one point in their life. It's a sad part but I am sure the love of their readers can help them out.

True. If you could tell your younger self anything, what would it be?

Just write what you feel. Be kind. Be humble. Be true to your feelings.

What kind of feedback do you get from your readers?

Awww I am not purposefully making you cry. I have many of them who either cry, or thank me and what touches my heart the most is when they ask me to be healthy.

Do you have any advice for other writers out there?

Well I truly believe that there are better writers than me, but if someone were to ask me, I'd say this, "Never be bothered too much about what you write. Just write what your heart desires. If your feelings are true then your writing will be appreciated. Just keep writing".
