Solangelo - Part Two
"Nico... She's gone."
At that, Nico grew infuriated. "Don't f*cking start with that sh!t right now, Will. This isn't about her."
"It's always about her," Will responded, slightly with more attitude.
Nico huffed, "You're wrong. It's exactly as I said, I found a good rehab-"
"You found a 'good rehab' that just so happens to be located in the only place you ever took your daughter in the human world," Will points out.
Nico looks down with fury stuck in his eyes, "What does it matter anyways?! If I wanted to just visit, I would. I wouldn't need your f*cking help!"
"Maybe you do. Because you're running."
"From what?!"
"From the Prophecy. From what Percy called you about three days ago. From the mess you're inter-twined in now, that you desperately want to forget about. Like everything in your life ever."
"Like everything in my life ever?" Nico repeated. "What does that imply?"
Will shook his head, "No. I'm not helping you escape your responsibilities or abandon the people you love, again."
F*ck, Will thought. "No, wait, Nico, I didn't mean it like that."
Nico was shocked. Did Will really just say that?
When Nico's daughter was murdered, he felt that he wasn't up to par as a father. That somehow, he gave up on his full-time parenting job when it happened. That he could've prevented it. That he gave up and abandoned her, and she needed him.
Of course, Will wasn't talking about that. Will was talking about himself. About Percy and Annabeth and Hazel and everyone Nico distanced himself from.
"Nico, I swear I didn't-"
Nico pushed Will aside as he got up and stormed out wordlessly.
(And that's how Will knew, he done f* cked up, lmfaoooo)
