The following morning Logan along with her friends were currently eating breakfast before  Logan headed on towards the Vermillion City gym to get his third gym badge. 

The Pokemon were happily enjoying their breakfast as well as their trainers talked amongst themselves about Logan's gym battle. 

"So Loagn are you ready for your gym match?" Pearl asked.

"Yeah, do you feel you did enough training yesterday?" Elaine asked. 

Logan glanced over at his Pokemon, especially his newly evolved Ekans."Oh yeah, I believe that my team is ready for today's gym battle," He stated.

"If you are sure then guess we should get going," River said.

"Come on Ruby time for ate gym battle with Lt.Surge," Logan said as Ruby ran toward him and jumped on his shoulder."The rest of you return," He said returning his other Pokemon back to their Pokeballs."

Once all the Pokemon are returned except for Ruby and Elaine's Eevee the gang then leaves the Pokemon center to head for the Vermillion City gym for Logan to earn his next gym badge.

Logon, Elaine, Pearl, and River along with Ruby and Eevee arrived at the Vermilion City gym.

"I'm here to challenge the Vermilion City gym," Logan said as he and his freinds walked into the gym were he was greeted by man and woman stareing at them.

"Hey boss another victim for the emergency room," The man said turning around.

A tall man then walked forward stepping on out of the shadows. "Which one?" He asked.

The groups eyes widened at the sight of the tall and muscular looking nman standing in front of them now.

"Wow," River said impressed by the size of the guy who was supposedly the gym leader. 

"He the gym leader you have to beat," Elaine said.

"It seems like it," Pearl said.

"Welcome to the Vermillion City gym," Lt Surge said hugging Elaine and Pearl."My next challenge is two  ones don't think I go easy on you," He sated.

"Excuse me sir there not the challenger I'm," Logan sated.

Lt.Surge turned around to glanced over to look at Logan."Oh you okay then baby," He said placing an hand on Logan's head.

"I'm not an baby my name is Logan Windward," Logan said. 

"Hm, Windward that name is familiar your mother an famous actress by chance baby?" Lt.Surge asked.

"Yes but her moives aren't as popular in Kanto as they are back home now will you accept my challenge?" Logan asked.

"Lit!" Ruby cried out. 

"Ah look at that baby brought an baby Pokemon from Kalos" Lt.Surge said laughing along with his gym trainers.

"Don't insult Ruby," Logan said.

"Sorry kid but this is am really Pokemon," Lt.Surge said sending out an Raichu the evolve form of Pikachu. 

"Raichu!" 

[Raichu, The Electric Mouse Pokemon and a electric type.  Raichu is the evolved form of Pikachu and it's long tail serves as a ground to protect itself from its own high voltage power and when electricity builds up inside its body, it becomes feisty. It also glows in the dark.]

"No your chance to back down baby," Lt.Surge said. 

"No way we're backing down," Logan sated.

"What can a baby Pokemon like that do it better to evolve your Pokemon soon as possible," Lt.Surge sated. 

"No there more to Pokemon training then evolution  and we show you the true power of an trainer," Logan said petting Ruby's head. "I wasn't going to use you today Ruby was planning on using  Sandy or Fani, but Ruby let's show him how strong you are," He said standing up.

"Lit!' Ruby said in agreement getting ready to battle.

"Can Ruby actually handle this?" Elaine asked. 

"He hasn't traim her for it but maybe she can do it," Pearl said.

"Fine then we accept your challenge," Lt.Surge said. 

The lights then came on as an announcer spoke."The battle will begin only one Pokemon may be used. The gym leader Lt.Surge has chosen Raichu and the challenger Logan has chosen Liteo fromt the Kalos Region. No time limit let the battle begin."

"Ruby let's start this off with Ember!"

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out as it fired an Ember at Raichu. 

Raichu charge through the flames towards Ruby.

"It power through the attack," Logan said.

"Thunder Shock!" Lt.Surge commanded. 

"Raichu !" Raichu cried out firing  an powerful electric attack at Ruby sending her flying back. 

"Ah!" The group gasped. 

"Lit," Ruby cried out as she attempted to get up.

"Ruby come on get up," Logan said.

"Litleo!" Ruby said as she slowly stood up.

"That it Ruby  Headbutt!" Logan commanded. 

"Raichu Thunder punch!" Lt Surge ordered.

Raichu ran forward with it fist direct towards Ruby.

"Counter that punch with your Headbutt!" Logan ordered. 

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out as it counter the Thunder punch and cause Raichu to slid back from the power of Ruby's headbutt.

Meanwhile outside the gym an familiar red hair woman  from Team Rocket was watching the gym  battle  between Logan and Lt.Surge. 

'Logan is so amazing  just the way he wasn't giving up despite being over power by Raichu.' Jessie thought as she watched Ruby and Logan perpareing for there next move.

"Jessie where are you?" A familiar voice called out reminding she was supposed to be with her teammates to wait for the other twerp to reach Vermillion City. 

However she didn't care about that at the moment as she continued watching Logan's gym battle with Lt.Surge. 

Meanwhile back with Logan...

"That the trick," Logan said." Now full speed ahead and Fire Fang!" He commanded. 

"Raichu," Raichu cried out getting on up.

"ThunderShock!" Lt.Surgecommanded. 

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out running forward with it fangs flaming and landed an powerful fire fang avoiding the Thunder Shock.

"What!" Lt.Surge said surprise.

"Finsh this with an final Headbutt!"

"Lit!" Ruby said landing an Headbutt on Raichu knocking it out.

"Well baby I'm impressed you used your Litleo speed to out speed my Raichu," Lt.Surge said."You earn yourself an Thunder badge," He said heading the badge to Logan. 

"Thanks good job Ruby," Logan said kneeling down and stroking Ruby's head.

"Lit," Ruby cried out jumping  onto Logan's shoulder.

"You got potential kid," Lt.Surge said placing an hand on Logan's head. 

"Thanks," Logan said with an nod as he and his freinds walked out if the gym.

"I know you got the badge but you mine if we stay for another day?" River asked. "I would like to explore the port for water type pokemon."

"Sure sounds good let's get to the Pokemon Center and get Ruby heal then find something to do," Logan said fine with staying an bit longer.
