After training with Ruby and Sandy, they soon settled down for the night. Now Logan along with Elaine, Pearl, and River continue the way to Vermillion as soon as the sun rises deciding to tho ahead of Ash and his friends," The narrator said as the four trainers are seen walking down a path with Logan looking at the map on his Pokenav.

"It says here that Vermillion City is just a few more hours away," Logan said.

"Lit," Ruby cried.

"We should stop for a brief break," Pearl said.

"Yeah I think Ruby getting hungry," River said

Logan glanced at Ruby who was drolling at the sound of food and kneeled down petting her head and smiling."I feel you have been some time since we had something to eat," He said.

"Then break time it is," Elaine said glancing up at Eevee on her head who cried out in happiness in agreement with a break to eat food.

"Alright leave it to me food be ready as soon as possible," River said taking off his bag and pulling out the supplies needed to make a delicious meal.

"While you do that I'm going to get in some more training with Sandy and maybe see what Pokemon are around," Logan said.

"Got it I call you when food is ready," River said.

"Why don't you leave Ruby here to rest," Pearl said."I keep an eye on her while you train with Sandy."

"Alright Ruby you chill here with Pearl and the others," Logan said.

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out nodding in agreement as she went over and lay down next to Pearl and Elaine on the blanket under a shady tree.

Logan then walked into the clearing and heard suddenly a cry from above.

"Man!"

"Huh?" Logan questioned as he looked up to see a pi monkey in the tree.

[Mankey, The Pig Monkey Pokemon. An agile Pokemon that lives in trees. It angers easily and will not hesitate to attack anything.]

"Sandy let's roll!" Logan said sending out his Sandshrew.

"Mankey!" Makey cried out as it jumped down from the tree aiming its leg at Sandy.

"Sandy stop that Low Kick with Slash!" Logan commanded.

"Sandshrew!" Sandy cried out as she countered the Low Kick with a powerful Slash causing Mankey to slide back.

"Sand Attack to lower its accuracy," Logan ordered.

"Sand," Sandy cried out as it dug into the ground sending sand into Mankey's face.

"Makey!" It cried out angrily as it charged at Sandy with a Karate Chop but missed due to the sand in its eyes.

"Alright now finish this with Body Slam!"

"Sandshrew!" Sandy cried out as she charged forward and slammed her body into Mankry knocking it out.

"Now Pokeball go!" Logan said throwing a Pokeball at the knocked-out Mankey.

The Pokeball shook before clicking was heard as the center of the Pokeball lit red signaling that Mankey was successfully caught and the Pokeball vanished as it was sent to Professor Oak's lab.

"Awesome job Sandy we caught a Mankey," Logan said happily hugging his Sandshrew for a great battle against Mankey."I come up with a nickname for it next Time from the newly obtained information mine is a male Mankey," He said looking at the data register in his Pokedex.

"Sand!"Sandshrew cried out happy she made her trainer proud.

"So I now have a fighting-type Pokemon that definitely can come in the handle at some point," Logan commented putting away his Pokedex.

"Go," A Pokemon cried out weakly.

"Huh?" Logan asked he heard a weak Pokemon cry and looked around for the source.

He then noticed Goldeen in the river nearby looking extremely weakened barely floating in the water.

"Goldeen are you okay what wrong?" Logan asked worried walking over toward the Goldeen with Sandy by his side.

"Deen!" It cried weakly as Logan gently touched it.

"Hm, looks like you have been paralyzed luckily I have paralyzed heal," Logan said dining in the side pocket of his bag and taking out a paralyzed heal and spraying it on Goldeen.

"Goldeen!" Golden cried happily as it was starting to feel better.

"Good to see you feeling better you should get going," Logans said.

"Gol."

"What is it you want me to catch you?" Logan asked.

"Goldeen," It said cried out signaling that is what it wanted.

"Alright then you can be my newest water Pokemon now I have another water type," Logan said taping the Pokeball on Goldeen as it was successfully captured.

"I can't believe you want that pathetic Pokemon," A feminine-voiced said from behind Logan.

Logan and Sandy turned around to see a ten-year-old girl with a peach skin tone. She had mid-mid-back length green hair and sky-blue eyes. She was wearing a pink sleeveless shirt, black leggings, and white boots.

"Excuse me who are you?" Logan asked annoyed.

"Sandshrew," Sandy cried out not liking how the girl insulted Goldeen.

"The Mabel Rosemarie," She introduced."That Pokemon is a pathetic excuse for Pokemon couldn't even earn me third bym badge and barely won at the Pewter City gym."

"So that was your Goldeen and you abandoned it while it was paralyzed?" Logan asked.

"Serves it right it was embarrassing at the Vermillion City gym, but doesn't matter I found a better Pokemon and was sure to win, and there better water type out there," Mabel commented walking off

"She just as bad as Charmander trainer," Logan stated

"She sounded like it," Pearl said appearing from behind Logan."River was calling for you but no response so I came looking for you and saw you talking to the girl. So you have a Goldeen now?"

"Yes and a Mankey which I caught before Goldeen," Logan replied.

"Nice both are great Pokemon sure River would love to catch a Goldeen," Pearl said.

"Yeah he would he loves water-type Pokemon," Logan said with a nod as he and Pearl headed back to the others ready to eat lunch.

"So you found him great let's eat and then continue the path to Vermillion City," Elaine said as she saw Pearl and Logan walking towards them with Sandy walking next to Logan.

"Alright come out and eat on up!" Logan said sending out his other Pokemon to eat.

The Pokemon cried out happily as they were their Pokemon food and Logan took a few bites of the spaghetti River had made for lunch.

"Soon as we're done we can get going," River said."So Logan how did it go with Sandy's training?" He asked.

"Well we didn't learn any new moves but we did catch a Mankey and a Goldeen," Logan replied.

"Oh really Goldeen a nice Water with great training," River stated.

"I plan to train her well," Logan said."Also by the way Elaine how the egg?" He asked.

"I felt it shake a few times so it must be close to hatching," Elaine said pausing her eating.

"Is there a certain Pokemon you are hoping for?" Pearl asked.

"No but a shiny like Logan has would be nice to hatch, but really any Pokemon is great it doesn't have to be powerful especially since I'm not into battling," Elaine stated.

"True do you know what you want to do yet?" River asked.

"I have been thinking about breeding but it is a lot of work and font think it for me," Elaine replied.

"I'm sure you figure it out when the right path comes to you," River said.

Logan nodded in agreement soon as he was done he stood up and returned his Pokemon to their Pokeball except for Ruby who jumped onto his shoulder full of energy.

"Alright then if everyone is done let's get going Vermillion City is not much farther based on the map," River said packing up the dishes and heading the blanket they were resting on back to Elaine.

"Then Vermillion City here we come to get my third badge," Logan said glancing at Ruby who nodded in agreement.

"After stopping to take a break to rest and eat. Logan decides to do some training with Sandy and ends up catching a Mankey and a Goldeen who was abandoned by a girl named Mabel. Now after eating lunch Logan and his friend continue the path to Vermillion City not much farther away,"  The narrator said as the group was seen coming across a sign reading Vermillion City only an hour away.
