"Last time, Logan, Elaine, Pearl, and recently joined River ended up getting off course when Eevee ran off. They soon encounter a wild Bulbasaur who is preventing Elaine from catching a Nidoran. Luckily a female Bulbasaur leads them to a cabin to help treat Charmander, who soon joins Logan along with Bulbasaur and Nidoran female joining Elaine. Now they are taking a short break as they continue their path to Vermillion City," The narrator said as the four trainers were seen sitting near a stump with Elaine looking through Binoculars.

"There a lot of Spearow around," Elaine commented.

"What kind of Pokemon are you hoping to find?" Pearl asked.

"I'm hoping to catch a Grass type. I might not be entirely sure about my goal, but I still want to catch Pokemon," Elaine said.

"Hm, I'm sure you can find a Pokemon on the following Route," River said.

"What is the next Route?" Elaine asked, looking at Logan, who had his Pokenav out.

"Route 24 is just up ahead, and there looks like there is a Pokemon Center as well that way," Logan said, reading the map.

"Lit!"

"Eev!"

"Good sounds like these two are ready for a nice rest at a Pokemon Center, "Pearl stated.

"Well, don't worry. We should be at the Pokemon Center after a bit more walking, and we can eat something and get you healed from all this travel," Logan said, putting away his Pokenav.

"Lit!

"Vee!"

Logan, Pearl, Elaine, and River, after a bit of walking, had made it to the Pokemon Center, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Great, we made it now. I can't wait to eat a nice meal," Elaine said.

"Sounds good to me, but first, why don't we should give our Pokemon to Nurse Joy," Logan said, glancing at Ruby, relaxing on his shoulder.

"He has right been a bit since they got properly checked. It took us a while to get back on the path," Pearl stated.

"Eevee."

"It's okay, Eevee. We know you didn't mean to take us off the path," Elaine said.

"That right. Besides, we got to encounter lots of Pokemon, and we made it back on the course anyway," River said, stroking Eevee, who was on Elaine's head.

"That right now; come on, let's get you and Ruby and the others healed up and ready to go," Logan said as the group walked to the front desk.

"Hello and welcome to the Pokemon Center. How can I help you today?" Nurse Joy asked with a warm smile on her face.

"Hello, Nurse Joy. Will you take care of our Pokemon and would like two rooms for the girls and one for us two boys," Logan said, taking Ruby off his shoulder.

"Of course, place your Pokemon and Pokeballs on these trays, and then I'll get you two rooms," Nurse Joy said, pushing a tray in front of each of them and taping a button as a Chansey came with a cart to retrieve them

"Thank you," The four trainers placed their Pokeballs, Ruby and Eevee, on the tray.

"Chansey, take them to the exam room, and I will be back there shortly," Nurse Joy said, turning toward the computer as Chansey left."Alright, you're in rooms 8 and 9," She said, heading a key that had an eight on it to Logan and nine to Elaine.

"Thanks come on, let's grab something to eat," Logan said as he and the others walked off to grab some food.

The gang was now sitting at a table, eating a nice warm bowl of soup.

"This soup is delicious," Elaine said.

"Agree after this; I think I'm going to take my bag to my room," River stated.

"Same here," Elaine said.

As they continued to eat their soup when they heard laughing and turned behind them to see a group of guys and a few girls sitting and standing next to a boy with shoulder-length curly white hair and red eyes. He wore a black leather jacket over a grey shirt and white pants with a chain on the left side. He also had black sunglasses on his forehead and black and white shoes.

There was a powerful-looking Magmar next to him as well.

"You sure got an incredible powerhouse there," A boy with black said.

"Yeah, just look at him. Best fire type there is," The white hair boy stated.

"Yeah, so awesome," A red-haired boy said, leading closer to Magmar.

"Yeah, you're the coolest, Shawn," Another black hair boy with a white headband said.

"Through, I thought you had a shiny Charmander as well," A spikey ice-blue hair boy commented.

"Yeah, I did, but that Pokemon was so weak it couldn't even beat a weak opponent, and always fainting during the training was pathetic," Shawn stated.

"I don't like that guy's behavior," Elaine said.

"Now Charmander may be weak to Water Pokemon, Rock, and Ground, but if you train it properly, has can become a strong Charizard," River stated.

Logan narrowed his eyes as the guys continued talking.

"So, what did you do with it?" The spikey blue hair boy asked.

"Oh, I left in the woods near that Pokemon Technical school after training when it failed again and fainted," Shawn started as he and the others started laughing.

The four trainers gasped, hearing his words.

"So he abandoned the shiny Charmander you found," Elaine stated.

Logan narrowed his eyes and stood up, and started walking away.

"Logan, what are you doing?" Pearl asked.

"I bet it is just wandering around trying to find you."

"It probably keeps wandering for days to the point that it passes back out."

"Yeah, I'm sure it will," Shawn said, laughing.

"How dare that Charmander was hurt so badly, and you just leave it? How dare you," Logan said, grabbing Shawn's Jacket roughly.

"Woah, Logan, what the matter?" Pearl asked curiously.

"What it to you, punk?" Shawn stated."Are you looking for a fight?" He said, picking up a Pokeball.

"Enough, no fighting. This is a center for injured Pokemon," Nurse Joy breaks up the fight.

"Tell him that he is the one who started it," Shawn said, breaking free of Logan's grip and walking off with his gang and girls.

"I suggest you don't get involved with Shawn or a guy named Damian. They were both known around here with a bad reputation," Nurse Joy said."And your Pokemon are ready to go," She said, heading them their pokeballs as Ruby ran onto Logan's shoulder and Eevee jumped into Elaine's arms.

"Yeah, thanks for the advice," Logan said, walking away towards his room with River.

"Logan wait for me can we talk?" Pearl asked, running after him.

"What is it?" Logan asked as he opened the door to his room.

"Why did you suddenly get so upset like that?" Pearl asked."I have barely seen you get fired up and yell like that."

"She right. Since I met, you barely spoke sure; you speak more than before," Elaine said, walking into the room with River.

"Lit," Ruby said, licking Logan's face.

"It's just when I was five and with a Pokemon summer camp, a gang of kids made fun of me, saying I will ever be a Gym leader," Logan said."They laughed at me and sometimes hit me, but worse of all, my best friend joined them. So hearing that guy talk about Charmander made me mad."

"Really?" River questioned.

"Yeah, after that, I became isolated until Crismon came around. He was hot-headed and still is," Logan said, smiling."Sure, he always talks about beating me, but he has always been there to cheer me up when it matters and has been my new best friend and rival," He said, laughing.

"Lit!"

"Vee!"

"Wow, I didn't know how close you two were," Elaine said.

"Yeah, he a pain wanting to beat me, but he a good friend."

"He sounds like it and didn't know you had trouble with jerks like Shawn," Pearl said.

"Yeah, and it is why I don't talk often. Thanks to that pain, I have been isolated and close off from strangers," Logan said as Ruby climbed onto one of the beds.

"Understand," River said, placing his bag on the other bed.

"Same, well, don't worry you, you got us as friends as well," Elaine said smiling.

"She right," Pearl agreed.

"Thanks, guys. We should start getting some rest for the evening if we plan on heading off tomorrow," Logan stated, getting on the bed.

"That right. Guess we should start getting some sleep," Pearl said as she and Elaine headed to the door, getting ready to leave and head to their room for the night.

"After reaching the Pokemon Center on Route 24, Logan and the gang meet Shawn, a rude Pokemon trainer who abandoned his shiny Charmander that now belongs to Logan. After sharing his past with the others, they then call it a night to head on off to continue their journey tomorrow, "The narrator said.
