"Oh man," Logan said with a groan sitting up slowly as he recovered from the fall.

He then turned around to see Ruby and Mittens getting up, as well as Jessie with Ekans.

"Ruby and Mittens, you both alright?" He asked."What about you, Jessie?"

"Lit!"

"Meowth!" Mittens said with a nod.

"Yeah, never better," Jessie said sarcastically.

"Seriously, are you okay no need to be sarcastic," Logan said with a sigh.

Jessie looked at Logan, caught off guard by the worried expression on his face.

"I'm fine teal hair twerp," Jessie nodded.

"Good," He said."It seems we got separated from the others," He said, looking around, not seeing Elaine, Meowth, and James anywhere.

"Yeah," Jessie said.

"It's just you and me until we find our friends might. Let's see where this tunnel leads," Logan said, looking up at the tunnel up ahead."Mittens return," He said, returning his Meowth.

"Ekans, you too," Jessie said, returning Ekans back to the Pokeball."Do you think it is safe?" She asked.

"Don't worry; everything will be fine. Just stay close by," Logan said as they walked the tunnel. They ended up falling in.

Logan, Jessie, and Ruby, we walk through the tunnel, with Logan holding out a flashlight to light the way in the dark.

"Hey, dark teal hair, tewrp?" Jessie said, getting Logan's attention.

"The name is Logan, not dark teal hair twerp," Logan replied.

"Litleo!"

"Yeah, sure, anyway, what kind of pokemon is that feline?" She asked.

"Ruby a Litleo. She is from my home region, Kalos," Logan said."I thought you figure that out in the forest though."

"Oh, so that's why we never saw her before in Kanto and I guess we did but it mostly says Lit so wasn't sure," Jessie said."So you're not from here."

"Right," He said."So mind telling me what you do to make Geoude mad?" He asked.

"That well, it hard to see, and I might have accidentally tripped over a Geodude, and they might have gotten mad, but I thought we lost them," Jessie replied, looking down, wondering why she found herself talking to this twerp.

"You have a knack for tripping. Don't you," Logan said, recalling her tripping in the Forest.

"Not true; just cause I tripped in Viridian forest and here doesn't mean it happens often."

"Lit?" Ruby said, looking at the two humans curiously.

"No need to get defensive. It's okay; everyone trips now and then," Logan stated as they walked into some kind of room in the cave.

"Where are we now?" Jessie asked.

"It seems like some kind of room may be for digging for items," Logan said, seeing a few holes covered up on the ground."Probably the Moonstones my map mentioned and fossils."

"Moonstones are actually why we were here."

"That explains the shovels, but it seems you lost yours."

"It's okay. We have more, anyway."

They then stopped hearing a noise catching their attention.

"What was that?" Jessie asked, looking around.

"It's okay. Just stay close," Logan said, pushing her back slightly behind him.

That was when he saw it was simply a Sandshrew.

"Just a Sandshrew," Logan said, looking at the Pokemon."Shelly, your up!" He said, sending out his Squirtle.

"What are you doing?"

"Catching it, Shelly, use Water Gun!"

"Squirtle!" Shelly cried out, firing a blast of water at Sandshrew.

"Sand!" Samdshrew cried out, shaking off the water and running towards Shelly with its claws about to use Scratch.

"Dodge and then use Tackle!"

"Squirtle!" Shelly screamed, jumping back before it rushed toward Sandshrew and slammed into it.

'I must admit that twerp is pretty skilled for a ten-year new trainer. That Pikachu is one kind of dumb, in my opinion.' Jessie thought, watching the way Logan was battling Sandshrew

"Now, let's finish this with Bubble Beam!"

"Squirt!" Shelly cried out, opening its mouth and blasting a beam of bubbles at Sandshrew, knocking it out.

"Pokeball, go!" Logan called out, throwing a Pokeball at Sandshrew.

The Pokeball shook three times until it clicked, signaling that Sandshrew was caught.

"Alright, Shelly caught a Sandshrew. Nice job," He said, looking at Shelly holding his new Pokeball until it was transported to Professor Oak's lab.

The next second, Shelly started to glow white, and then in her place was a larger purple turtle than Squritle with a green shell and feather-like ears and tail.

"Awesome new Pokemon and an evolution to Wartortle," He said, pointing his pokedex at Shelly's evolving form.

[Wartortle, The Turtle Pokemon. A water type. The evolved form of Squirtle. Its long furry tail is a symbol of its sage and wisdom.]

"Shelly, return," Logan said, returning his newly evolved Pokemon back to her Pokeball.

"I see she is no longer a Squirtle," Jessie commented.

"That's true, and don't expect to steal her," Logan said.

"I won't bother while we're trapped down here," Jessie sighed.

"We get out of here. Don't worry, just keep close, and nothing will happen."

"Litleo!"

"Why are you protecting me? You did the same thing back in the forest," Jessie said.

"My parents taught me to never leave a female in danger or harm, besides you don't seem that bad, actually," Logan stated."You don't have to tell me why you became a member of Team Rocket, but be willing to listen if you want to talk." Logan said with a soft smile as they continued walking

Jessie looked at Logan, seeing his smile, and swallowed as she felt a strange feeling from his smile and kind words. She just kept silent as they continued walking towards the pathway ahead, leaving the area and into another tunnel.

They suddenly froze as they heard a loud roar and rumbling and turned to see an Onix behind them. Logan immediately moved Jessie behind him.

"Stay back," He said, reaching for his belt for a Pokeball.

"Drowzee!" A Drowzee said as it appeared before Onix and put it to sleep with Hypnosis.

"A Drowzee?" Logan questioned.

"Yes, that would be my Drowzee," A voice said.

They turned to see a ten-year-old cream skin tone girl with long purple hair in a long ponytail and slightly purple-pinkish eyes. She was wearing a long sleeve silky purple shirt with stars on it and black pants.

"Ah well, thanks, um," Logan said, not knowing her name.

"Pearl Shen," She introduced.

"Um, can we get away from it before it wakes up?" Jessie asked, slightly annoyed.

"It alright, this will handed that," He said, throwing a Pokeball at Onix and immediately catching it."So what are you doing here, Pearl?" He asked, looking at Pearl.

"I was looking for new Pokemon to catch to add to my current team," She replied."When I heard screaming, and came to see what it was and found you two. So what are you doing here with a member of Team Rocket?" She asked.

"Well, I and my got attacked by Geodude and ended up falling down here, but we got separated and ended up with Jessie here," Logan explained.

"I see. Well, I can help you to the exit. Follow us," Pearl said, walking past them and in the front with Drowzee leading them down the pathway.

"Come on," Logan said, looking at Jessie as he started following after Pearl down the tunnel.

After a while, the three of them saw the light and saw they had made it to the exit, where they saw Elaine, Meowth, and James.

"Logan, you made it out," Elaine said happily to see her friend was safe.

"Yeah, thanks to Pearl here," Logan said.

"Oh, hello, names Elaine," Elaine greeted.

"Hey, twerp guess, thanks for protecting me down there," Jessie said."We forget your Pokemon for now. We have other matters to take care of," She said, looking over at James and Meowth.

"Right, we should be going Cerulean City just up ahead," Logan said, looking at his map.

"Right, this was a long day, but at least my Metapod is a Butterfree now," Elaine said.

"Cool, my Shelly evolved as well," Logan said as they started walking away from Mt. Moon, leaving Team Rocket behind with Pearl.

"Lit!"

"Wait, mind if I join you?" Pearl asked.

"Sure, you can join us," Logan said.

"I'm good with having another friend."

"Great," Pearl said as she and Drowzee approached them.

"After getting attacked by Geodude and ending up separated from each other. Logan and Elaine continue their way to Cerulean City with a newly evolved Squrtile and Metapod and leaving Team Rocket behind with Pearl joining them on their journey," The Narrator said.
