It was a beautiful sunny day as. The sun was shining over a large city known as Viridian City. The sky was blue, not a single cloud in sight, the perfect weather for a flight on the plane. 

A large sliver plane was seen flying low to the ground, getting ready to land. Its landing gears lowered its tires screeched as they hit the ground. 

After connecting to ther terminal and allowing its passengers to disembark, Logan grabbed his backpack and left the airport along with Ruby looking out towards the city.

"Well, here we ar,e the Kanto Region," Logan said.

"Litleo!" Ruby cried out happily, glad to be off the plane.

"I know, girl, the plane ride was too long for your liking, but we're here now," Logan said as he walked away from the airport and into the city."First, we make a call, then head to Pallet Town."

"Litleo!"

Logan and Ruby entered the city streets, passing crowds of people going on about their business. A few Pidgey flew above his head while a small group of Rattata ran down the alley nearby.

They saw two young kids boy and a girl, who looked like twins playing around with an Eevee as their parents watched them from the porch of the house. Logan smiled, remembering how he was when he first met Ruby.

After a pleasant and relaxing fifteen-minute walk from the airport, take in the city's sights. Logan and Ruby arrived at the Pokemon Center. He walked over to the video phones on the far left wall and sat down at one of them before dialing his home number. After a few minutes, a man appeared on the screen.

"Hello, son," He greeted with enthusiastically.

"Hi, Dad. I take it, Mom, away working. Anyway, I made it to Viridian City without any problems," Logan said.

"Yeah, she left an hour ago. She would be glad to hear you made it. I'm so happy on your first journey, and you are far away from home, but you seem to be doing fine," His dad said proudly."How is the egg doing? Is Ruby doing okay the flight must of been difficult for her?"

"The egg fine it safe in my bag, and no sign of hatching yet. Ruby is a bit stiff from the flight, but she seems to be okay. She fell asleep," Logan said, looking at Ruby sleeping on his lap.

"That's good. I know how much she hates tight, crowded spaces. That's why she hardly in her Pokeball," His dad said."The egg will probably hatch in a few days, but you can get it checked by Nurse Joy. She should know how close it is. Are you ready for the Kanto League?"

"Yeah, I will be heading for the first gym after picking up my Pokedex from Professor Oak in Pallet Town," He replied.

"Alright, remember, Gym battles are more difficult and different than regular trainer battles," His dad explained.

"I know I'm going to head out now. I call the house again when I head off for Pewter City."

"Alright, son. Stay safe, and make sure to call Wallace at some point," His dad smiled and washed bye before hanging up the phone. 

Logan stood up and picked up Ruby, and walked over to the doors, and left the Pokemon Center to head on off to Pallet Town to meet  Professor Oak and retrieve his Pokedex and Pokeballs.

Logan and Ruby had finally made it out of Viridian City and through Route 1 as they made it to Pallet Town.

"Well, here we are, Ruby, now to find Professor Oak's lab," He said, looking at the map on her Dexnav.

"Litleo," Ruby cried out, hoping down from Logan's arms.

"What is it, girl?" He asked.

"Lit, Leo!" Ruby cried out, running toward a giant hill with a massive building on the hill.

"I see that must be the lab. Good idea, Ruby," Logan said, realizing what Ruby was telling him."Well, let's get going, girl," He said, walking towards the hill with Ruby by his side.

After a long walk up the hill, Ruby and Logan made it up a hill where a large crowd of cheerleaders gathered.

"Excuse me, females," Logan said, pushing through the crowd of girls and up the stairs and walking into the lab.

"Hello, is anyone here!" Logan called out.

"Who are you?" A boy around his age with spiky brown hair and brown eyes wearing a long sleeve purples shirt, dark grey pants, yin, and yang necklace, and brown boots with black straps said, walking towards the door.

"Ah, you must be Logan from the Kalos Region," Professor Oak said as he walked out from the back room.

"You know this boy, Gramps?" The brown hair boy asked.

"Yeah, his parents are both quite known," Professor Oak said."Follow me, and I will give you your Pokedex with the information on the Pokemon found in Kanto, and your pokeballs will come along, Logan, and take this little fellow Ruby, your Litleo," He said, looking at Ruby.

"Come along, Ruby," He said, following Professor Oak to the back room.

Logan was now standing in front of a table containing three pokeballs as Professor Oak was at a back table grabbing a few items.

"Alright, here you go, your Pokedex; everything you need to know about Pokemon in Kanto that aren't in Kalos is all in here," Professor Oak said, holding out a red square Pokedex.

"Thank you," Logan said, taking the Pokedex. 

"Now, here are some pokeballs. Remember, you can carry up to six Pokemon," Professor Oak said, holding out ten pokeballs."Any other Pokemon you catch will be sent to Professor Scaymore unless you wish to keep them at my lab while you're in Kanto," He said.

"I'm okay with Professor Scaymore unless you don't mind taking care of them for me, at least until my journey is made here," Logan said, putting his Pokedex and Pokeballs in his side pockets.

"Yes, I don't mind, besides the lab is big enough to watch your Pokemon and the new trainers from here Pokemon as well," Professor Oak said.

"Thanks, come on, Ruby," Logan said with a nod as they left the back room.

As he was leaving the lab, he passed a short girl around his age with fair skin and brown hair tied into a ponytail, and brown eyes. She was wearing a red and white baseball cap with a Pokeball logo on it and a black and white shirt, blue-green shorts with a red waistband and bow, and orange and white sneakers with yellow shoelaces.

He simply just shrugged his shoulders as he moved out of her way and walked out of the door to head back towards Viridian City, ignoring the boy he passed on his way towards Route 1, running in Pajamas.  Not knowing he was going to meet not only the girl again but he would also meet the boy again in the future.
