Wonyoung's Pov

I stood at the center of the restroom, my gaze locked on the Jin's smirking figure as he left to follow Jiwon.

The chatter of the people seemed to pulse with a cruel, mocking rhythm. My hand trembled as I reached to touch my face, a reminder of the slap I received.

How could she do that to me?

What did Jin gain from all this?

The room felt suddenly too small, the walls closing in on me. My breath came in shallow gasps, the sharp remembrance of Jiwon's words cutting deeper into my soul with every breath.

Tears welled in my eyes, blurring my vision before spilling over and streaking down my cheeks.

My sobs were silent at first, but soon the soft, heart-wrenching sounds grew louder, filling the room with the raw agony of my sorrow.

The sound of my own sobs filled the room as I sank to the floor, enveloped in the cold embrace of the shadows.

My body curled into itself, seeking some form of comfort in the fetal position, but finding only the cold, hard floor against my skin.

I heard gentle footsteps approaching me slowly, and I couldn't help but hide my face with my hands. So many emotions were swirling inside of me: pain, embarrassment, anger and sadness.

"Hey," a voice said softly as another person locked the restroom door. The person sat down beside me, close but not too close, respecting my need for space. "I'm here and so is Taehyung."

The other person sat down on my other side and held my hand."Hey, are you okay?" He asked me.

I couldn't refrain from scoffing at his absurd question.

Am I okay?

"What do you think? My best friend just broke up with me. Tell me what you think, Taehyung." I hissed.

"It's okay Wonnie, we'll get through everything together." Jimin squeezed my shoulders.

"Together?" I glared at them, harshly removing Jimin's hand from my shoulder. "What makes you think we would ever do anything together again." I gestured at all of us.

"What are you saying?" Jimin asked, leaning forward. "Wonnie, look at the both of us. We're here for you, right now and in the future."

"He's right, you know. You don't have to face this alone." Taehyung said, trying to sound reassuring, but it wasn't working.

"Do you know what the biggest mistake I ever made was?"

"No. What is it?"

"My biggest mistake was ever agreeing to join this stupid squad, and this is coming from someone who, in second grade, slapped a teacher's ass thinking it was a friend's."

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that I am out-out of your useless squad and your stupid mission." I shouted, lifting myself up from the floor.

"Stop joking; it's not funny. Tae, tell her that it's not funny. Jimin laughed awkwardly.

"Who's joking? I am done with both of you."

"But...we have to stop my mom from ending up with Jin!"

"Which mom? The one who just abandoned me for some boy? Yeah, I am also done with her."

"But we are three peas in a pod."

"You know what's funny?" I walked over to jimin.

"You keep talking about saving your mom from Jin, but I don't understand something."

"What?"

"Your mom already ends up with Jungkook and gives birth to you in the future so everything will turn the way it's meant to, so what is the need of you to come to this time and stop her from dating Jin."

"Look at it this way: if you hadn't come here, your mom would still date Jin and end up with Jung-"

Wait a minute.

They never told me that Jiwon and Jungkook ends up together.

I just assumed it myself.

"Oh my, Jungkook isn't your dad, right?" I asked Jimin. They both shared a look and nodded their head indicating my suspicions were right.

"If that's the case, you guys knew Jin would do what he did. Am I right?"

"No, we didn't."

"You guys still have the guts to lie."

"But we aren't-"

"Just shut up," I cut them them off. Did they really think they could keep playing me?

I walked toward the door, opened it, but before I left, I turned back to them and shook my head. "I would advice the both of you to stop right now and let it go."
