EPILOGUE

Sunday the ninth of March 2098 and The Pathfinder would come to a planet they would name 'Earth 2', even with all the similarities and differences between the world they had travelled to and the one they had travelled from, there would always be and ever only be one name for this new world. The ship would spend three days in orbit before the population of The Pathfinder would get the go ahead to begin to go down to the surface.

The big advantage The Pathfinder had being the lead ship and being the first ship to arrive at a new planet was and is the fact that they would be the first to choose a location to arrive or move to. They have a whole new planet, a place much larger than Earth to choose a location.

This new world would indeed prove to be similar to Earth in so many ways. It would have plenty of wildlife some of which would be very strange looking but would also soon be discovered to most definitely be quite tasty too. The seas and oceans would be filled with plenty of fish as well as many other cool and interesting things. This place truly would be a new Earth.

It would be Monday the eighteenth of March when work would properly begin to turn this new world into a new home. Small huts would be constructed first and foremost for shelter then the real work would begin. This is a world with plenty of life but none of any real intelligence other than what had just arrived so therefore there are no cities, no towns, no roads, no villages, no countries but most importantly no war, and no starvation.

There is so much that needs to be done and there would be an eternity to do it, an eternity that hopefully would not and will not ever meet an ending. That would depend on how well mankind have learned a lesson.

Something that Maria would be grateful for is the fact that the rain on this planet does not burn. Her first experience of this world's rainfall, once she figured out it didn't burn had her laughing and spinning around. It would be a moment to enjoy despite the fact that she was getting soaked.

Rory would have a big job on his hands, one of the first buildings to go up would be a place where people could come and feed. His kitchen and dining area would be the first proper building to go up. The good thing about The Pathfinder as far as Rory was concerned was the fact that there were so many kitchens on board. The main kitchen which catered for the main mess hall could be kept open as well as one or two others. The remaining kitchens could be completely closed, and the equipment could be brought straight down.

The set-up process would be a long one. Sometimes it would be painful and other times quite enjoyable, but its ends would definitely justify the means all the same. The Pathfinder had many generators so creating electricity and lighting would not be a problem.

Pretty soon March would be over, April would come and go so quickly and once May came so too did other ships. More ships also meant more bodies to join in and to set up a new world. May the first would also see Simon return to piloting. He was back to being one hundred percent himself with no sign of having any alien parts. The connection with Dan and the transformation as well as having talked to Robert via Mandy's earpiece ensured that there would be no obsession on Simon's part in regard to finding Robert, Jeff and Dan. He knows they are safe and well.

May would also bring the first of many Pathfinder weddings. Simon and Mandy would not waste any time at all. They would marry and party aboard the ship that had brought them together. They would go on to parent four children and would become grandparents eleven times one of whom would obviously be named Samar.

Maria would eventually become a grandmother to two boys neither of whom would be called 'Cormack'. Maria, Cindy and the two boys would share a home with the father of the two boys. Despite settling down, getting married and having two sons, Cindy never forgot her brief time with David aboard the one and only Pathfinder.

Doctors Aaron Grey and Sylvia Thompson along with doctors and nurses from other arriving ships would set up the very first hospital on the new world and they both too would go on to have families of their own.

Alison Ridgeway along with her husband Rick would begin designing roadways and buildings to which Rick would be responsible for maintenance and when their children Jenny and James became old enough they would join in with the family business. Mathew and Gerrard would help out Alison and Rick as well as go on to design many of the buildings that would begin to go up on this new world for this world was not at all so new to either Mathew or Gerrard, and this particular time that they found themselves in was a time they would see out the rest of their lives in.

Leo Bridges would be one of those guys who would be once a pilot always a pilot, he would keep in contact with Simon Olsen and together they would create a piloting school, pilots would always be needed for the numerous shuttles combined from the many ships in orbit, as well as there being a space program being set up for the many ships which would continue to arrive over many years. Over time too would see air transport within this new world develop. The sheer size of the world would ensure that this air travel would indeed be created and developed.

As well as being involved with all this, Leo would work up the courage to tell Sylvia as to how he feels about her. It may be some time between marriages, but the second Pathfinder wedding would be one that would unite Leo and Sylvia.

The Owens brothers, Kyle and Jinder would of course be responsible for security and with setting up somewhat of a police force. George Jones and Sheila Ryan would get together despite the existing age gap between the two. It is not all so large a gap so it would not be thought much of. They would indeed too go on and have a daughter together. Badger and Angus would also become honourary uncles to this child and would even work with George and both Owens brothers with establishing a school which teaches Tai Chi.

Robert Stanford and Jeffery Wilson along with Dan the alien all being stuck many years in the future would be treated like superstars for the parts they played on board The Pathfinder. It would and had become obvious that Dan's abilities were and are something special. Robert and Jeff knew that the changes they experienced and the connection that had been made with Simon were due to the abilities that Dan had, so the how and why would never be questioned, and of course getting to directly speak once again with Simon was due to those time fractures.

Timothy would lose his moniker of slightly dim Tim as he would become a college professor. Jasmine loved Tim too much to ever leave him or go on without him and they too would go on to have a family of their own. Their friendships with Cindy would also last a lifetime.

Doctor Stanley Holmes had a statue built in his honour in the first town built and settled in by those who came from The Pathfinder. It would soon be moved to stand in front of that very first hospital that Aaron and Sylvia worked so hard to get going. Another and larger statue would be built in honour of Brandon Michaels, and when any death would occur names would be added to a monument to which the first three names added after Brandon's would be that of Stanley and David of course as well as Rory's former Mentor and friend Carlos.

If lessons are to be learned in anything then maybe, just maybe, the Human race will look after this world a lot better than what they did with the world the originated from. Though in all likelihood a time may come when the Human race may be forced to move yet again and once more travel the stars to find another new home but for right now, The Pathfinder's Mission has come to an end and to a successful end at that.

THE END
