Filled with dozens of quaint cafés and bubbling with the quintessential charm of old money glamour, Astoria is the place to go to seek a new life.

Just ask Evangeline Leger! Sure, she's fleeing a dark and terrible past and she cannot seem to shake off the feeling that there are ghosts -both literal and figurative- following her, but she's having a wonderful time in Astoria. If "wonderful" means feeling conflicted between what her heart wants and her mind seeks, indecisively rejecting the boy she is in love with and throwing herself into studies she does not even care about.

At least she has her part time jobs to use as a mode of escape when her school and social life becomes too much. Nothing terrible could ever happen in a vieux jeu bookshop, could it? Definitely not with Astoria's top high school detectives hanging around.

So, of course, Evie has nothing to fear. Most definitely not murder, a haunting fortuneteller, arson, heartbreak and a chilling stalker.

Because ~none~ of that could possibly exist in Astoria.

Okey, okay, I know you guys hate these lil ads of mine -surely, SOMEBODY thinks they're quaint?!- but look at what I made in the time I SHOULD have been memorising Bernoulli's equation or Poiseuille's law or the pronunciation and spelling of sphygmomanometer.

Or even just do so because you feel sorry for how neglected my school work is becoming.

(It's alright guys, I am totally up to date with Biology, Physics and Anthropology. Just a lil chemistry to go and then I'll have the whole weekend... well no. Not really. I have about ten hours at the café and three hours private tutoring work but THEN I'll be able to write more, right??)
