2 days before Colonel Shakti died.

Raj was worried. More worried than than Abhi had ever seen him.
He looked pale, since the last few days, with dark circles beneath his eyes growing everyday.
Abhi wondered whether he had slept at all the past few days, he was always up, always being in the library till late, with his room's light being on till way past midnight.
Captain Randhawa, Dr. Shalini and Abhi, everyone had noticed something was off, in some way.
He still put on a cheery face, as if nothing was the matter. But he couldnt fool them.

He had just returned to his room, while still on the call.
Abhi had heard some snippets of his conversation, while he was hiding in the corridor.
Something about a will, and spousal privilege. Something about a tax.

He had been tailing him, in hopes of finding  something about why Raj was so worried.
Abhi was still deciding whether or not he should go in and confront his friend or leave him be, when Raj came out, and saw Abhi standing there.

Raj : Chauhan saab.. (with a smile, the smile not reaching his eyes.)
Aap yaha is wakt?
Abhi : Ha wo...main aap hi se milne aa rahatha raj. Aap kuch dino se pareshan lag rahe hai...is everything ok?
They start walking together.
Raj, hearing this , becomes paler...but quickly regains composure, looks around, and says.

Raj : Its..you know what it is..Colonel sir is still missing, and...thats what I am stressing about.
U know how I..he stopped, unable to frame his thoughts into words.
Abhi kept his hand on raj's shoulder, comforting him.

Abhi : Wo mil jayenge. He will be fine. He is a hardy soldier.

Raj : I hope so.
Abhi : Aap kaha ja rahe hai?
Raj : Infirmary....Just wanted some sleeping pills.
Abhi : Thik hai Raj, apna khayal rakhye, ham aapko baad me milte hai.
Raj : Yeah, See u.

As Abhi left, he could not help but feel, Raj was hiding something.

Naina was surprised when the Dr Shalini called at her house, asking to speak to her. She was even more surprised, when she asked casually if she was free tonight. Capt Shikhawat wanted to see her. She told her the time, and to meet at a point, from where they would go together. Naina promptly said Yes. Ofcrs she would go. Before hanging up, Shalini advised her to keep this meeting a secret.

Pooja was staying with Naina for a couple of days, before travelling home.

Naina looked at Pooja, confused. Even tho Shalini had told her to keep the conversation a secret, Naina thought hiding it from Pooja wouldnt make sense. After all, she had seen how worried Pooja was for her, especially since Capt Rajveer had hardly met them in the last few days of the term. Even on their graduation day, he had only waited to wish them a hurried goodluck and farewell, before rushing off.
They could sense he was worried about something.
However, in the excitement of graduation,  that worry had been pushed to the back of their minds.
Except for Naina. She had continued to worry. And seeing her friend in distress, Pooja too was uncomfortable.

I think Sir ko kuch lead mili hogi, tere bhaiyya ke case me...isiliye tujhe bulaya hoga. Aur shayad tujhe is baare me bhi kuch pata chale, kya chal raha hai Sharukh ke saath, itne dino se wo kyu offline mode pe hai.

Pooja had long since realised her mistake, of stigmatizing Raj and Naina's relationship. She had realised, how innocent their relationship was, and though she felt perhaps Naina was in love with her teacher, she was positive Naina herself did not know about her own feelings. She sometimes wondered how  Naina could be so quick in someways, and  so naive in others.

However, She knew her friend was deeply worried about Raj, and she was worried for her friend. And therefore she hoped all would be well with her Strategies and Communications teacher, for the sake of her friend.

Naina and Pooja, having made the excuse of shopping (to her surprised parents, who had never seen their daughter go shopping) went out, and Naina proceeded to the address given to her, while Pooja proceeded to go shopping at a nearby mall alone.

Shalini was waiting for her.
Naina : Maam baat kya hai, aap itni pareshaan kyu lag rahi hai. Aur sir...wo thik to hai na...unhe kuch..
S : Calm down Naina. Tumhare Sir ko kuch nahi hua hai. Hes..fine.
Hes waiting, lets go.
They take a cab,Shalini gives him directions. They arrive at a Lodge and proceed  to go in.
Shalini already has a key, so they directly go up to the room.
She opens the key, enters and Naina enters after her, almost in a rush, as usual...then stopped short.
There were two strange men, along with him.

Sir..aap..she began

Raj stood up, went to her.
Raj, cutting her in : Naina, please listen carefully.
Ab mai tumhe jo kehne ja raha hoon, it nt only relates just to you, but also to the country's security.
I will tell you what I called you here for, only if I have your word, that you will obey me, without question.

Naina : Sir..I..

Raj : Your word Lt singh.

Naina : I..you have my word sir.

Raj :This matter will affect you deeply Lt. It isnt a small thing. Are you sure you trust me enough for this. I will not hold it against you, if you back out right now.

I trust u sir, she said, confidently.

Raj : Mujhe Naveen ke case me ek lead mili hai...bohot bari lead. Thats what I have been after, these few days. Naveen ko insaaf jald hi milega, i am sure.

But Long story short, those people are after me.

Naina : What?..sir..aap...apki jaan ko..

Listen to me naina....wakt kam hai...
I have called you here, to discuss something other than this.

I need your help in this.

Naina : I...ofcrs sir...aap bas order dijiye, I will do anything.

Raj : Anything?

Yes sir! She said, her confidence in him unwavering.

Raj : Will you marry me?
