"Be careful Yuwsei!", little Crow said while we watched our brother climbing up a pile of scrap metal. I had a small bag with useful things on my back, looking worried at Yusei as well. "Come down from there! We don't need it that badly!" Yusei grabbed the small piece and smiled brightly at us. "I got it!" He grinned and turned a bit, trying to climb down. But at the same time, the metal underneath his feet shifted and he fell. "Yuwsei!" "Yusei!" We watched and screamed in panic as we helplessly watched our brother fall down. Yusei waited for the ground to hit him... but he never felt anything. He opened his eyes and saw a woman holding him. "Whoa careful. You could have gotten seriously hurt." Yusei sobbed and shivered. He held onto the woman tightly. "Yusei!" We ran towards them and hurried to our brothers side. The woman kneeled down to the ground so we could hug Yusei. "Thank you Miss! You saved our brother!" "No problem. I couldn't just let him fall down. She gently put Yusei down and stroked through his hair. "You okay? Are you hurt?" "N-no Miss... thank you..." She smiled a warm smile. "Nothing to thank me for." She looked at us. "How old are you three? Where are your parents?" "I-i'm four years old... "I'm four too. "I'm five. I'm the oldest one." "And your parents?" "We don't have any... we are completely alone." The woman looked at us with sad eyes. "What are your names little ones?" "I'm Jack. This is Crow. And our brother you saved is Yusei." "My name is... Raptor." I looked at 'Raptor' surprised. "Raptor? That's a cool name!" "Thank you. I think you have pretty cool names as well." All three of us grinned up at her. She smiled at us and ruffled my hair a bit. "Hey... you three look hungry... how about I take you to my hideout and make you something to eat?" "I... I don't know..." Crow looked a little scared at her. "Hey. It's okay. I'm not some sort of child kidnapper or rapist or something. I just think you three shouldn't run around without someone to look after you... That's dangerous. You three are still pretty small." We looked at each other and then back at Raptor. "O-okay..." Raptor smiled and stood up. She woe torn jeans, a black top and has her dirty white jacket over her shoulders like a cape. "Let's go then. I don't live far from here." She smiled at us again and together we walked towards her hideout.

     "Wow! This was good! Thank you!" Raptor laughed and ruffled through my hair. "You're welcome. I'm glad you like the food." "It's very good. Thank you", Yusei said politely. "Yeah! It's amazing!" Raptor just smiled at us and watched as we eat our food. "Aren't you hungry?", Yusei asked and looked at her. "No. You can eat up. I already ate this morning." We all could see that she was lying but Yusei decided to not talk about it further. We learned that it is very stupid to challenge an adult. So we just continued to eat. "So... how are we supposed to repay you for this?", I asked and looked up at Raptor. She frowned. "Why would you need to repay me for this?" "No adult ever did something without wanting something in return. That's how satellite works..." Raptor smiled gently and kneeled down in front of me. "You don't need to do anything. And satellite is cruel, I agree with you there but that doesn't mean that there are no nice people. I don't want anything in return..." She smiled at all three of us. "But I do offer you to stay here. I know how it feels to grow up alone. Without parents or family. You three still have each other... but no one who protects you from the cruel world out there." She chuckled and stood up. "And I could use some company anyways. I'm pretty lonely, you know?" We looked at each other. We sleep somewhere different every night and we never had a real home. And now... we could have one... and something like a parent as well. "I... are you sure?" "Yes. I am sure." "Okay! I wanna stay here with Raptor!", Crow said happily. "Me too... she's nice...", Yusei said and smiled shyly. "Okay. Then I stay too." Raptor smiled and ruffled through our hair. "Well then. Welcome in your new home." "No." Yusei stood up and walked towards Raptor. He looked at her and she kneeled down to his level. "Why no?" He smiled. "It's more like..." Yusei hugged Raptor tightly. "Welcome to the family." Raptor froze at first, but then she hugged back and chuckled. "Thank you little Yusei..." "Group hug!" Crow ran towards them and hugged her as well. Soon I joined in. Raptor smiled softly and held all three of us close. "I already love you three... who could anyone abandoned such sweet angels?"

~Flashback End~

     "Earth to Jack," I heard my brother Yusei say to me, waving his hand in front of my face. "Jack, you in there?" I heard Crow ask me, I shook my head, "I-I'm sorry, I... I spaced out." Crow smiled and Yusei chuckled. "We noticed. You stared at that wall for 15 minutes." I blushed in embarrassment. "S-sorry..." "What were you thinking about?" Yusei asked me, I could see the curiosity and worry in his eyes. "I.... I was thinking about mom... when we first met her," I said, looking down. "Oh..." Yusei bit is lip and looked down at his food. "Mom was so nice when we first met her..." "Yeah. She saved you from that fall..." "And she gave us food when we were starving." "Yeah... you're right." Crow smiled at us. "But...", Yusei stopped for a few seconds. "But she already lied to us back then... she said she's not hungry... that she ate already... and we all know that was a lie..." I looked to Yusei, "That's because she wanted to put us first, she didn't want us to be hungry, or out there on the streets. She just wanted us to be fed, have clothes on our backs, a roof over our head, and each other." Yusei looked at his plate. "She was great... she was our guardian... she always thought that we are the only thing that matters... that we are more important than her...", Yusei said and closed his eyes. "She never cared about what would happen to her... as long as we are safe..." I nod in agreement, "She helped us become who we are now, and even though she's not here with us right now, we will always hold her close, in our hearts." We all nodded and Yusei started to smile again. "We will continue fighting... we will survive... and you know what?" Yusei stood up on his chair and grinned. "Once we are grown up we are going to save satellite and connect it back to the big city! We will save everyone!" I smiled at my brother's word, happy to see him smiling once more, I stood on my chair, "We will bring the people together! So no one has to live in pain, or have to struggle to survive!"
