Lunchtime is the best time of day. I used to hate it because I ended up eating alone. I'm not alone anymore. I have Ellie, Cynthia, Connor, Jake, Maggie, and most importantly, Ella-May.

I didn't think it could get any b-
Ellie Rcher, Connor Lake, and Maggie Burns to the main office. Ellie, Connor, and Maggie to the main office right away.

What did the principal want from them? And why them?

After they left, it was me, Ella-May, Cynthia, and Jake.

When they came back, they said we were getting a new student.
"His name is Nathaniel Tobins." Ellie said. "He's coming tomorrow. Apparently the principal wants us to be 'buddies' to him" Connor said. "The principal knows what a big friend group we have."

Math was first the next day. Maggie took her seat next to me. Then, Nathaniel came in. The only available seat was next to Maggie.
"Can I sit here?" He asked.
"Sure." Maggie replied.
"I'm Nathaniel, but I prefer it if you call me Nate."
"I'm Maggie, and this is Sienna."
"Is it just you two?"
"No, there's also Ella-May, Ellie, Connor, Cynthia, and Jake."
"Can I sit with you guys at lunch?"
"Sure. I think you would fit right in with us."
"I'm looking forward to seeing you all!"
"Okay class!" Today we are reviewing linear equations!" Ms Comdri said. "Who wants to go first?"

I can greatly relate to Nate. Being new wasn't fun for me. But it gets better. It got better for me. It'll get better for him too.
