It felt weird being in my old cabin again, surrounded by my old comforts. It was strange, having torn pictures across my room with people I barely recognize. Most people would think I would remember these people after everything we have been through, but I don't. Camp was my last thought when I was in Tartarus.
"Percy?" I heard someone ask. I looked around, until my eyes settled on the door, where a boy about a year or two years younger by looks. He is probably partially immortal. He had dark hair and eyes, pale skin, and a bit on the skinny side, but not starved.
"Nico?" I asked, standing up. He rushed and hopped onto me, hugging me, gods I forgot what a hug felt like. I hugged him like my life depended on it, and he didn't hesitate. I sighed and let go of him, and he backed away, examining me.
"You look different." He said with a grin. I smiled sheepishly.
"I'm different in a lot of ways. Some good some not so much." I said, looking away from him.
"Eh, we can handle you; one way or another." Nico said back. "Now, why don't we go see your old friends?" Nico asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I-um, don't actually remember them very well." I said nervously. Nico just laughed at me. I glared at him jokingly, but he ignored my glare and dragged me out of my cabin. When he was dragging me out, my head hit the top of the door frame.
"Ow! I hate being tall." I grumbled as Nico continued to drag me.
"Lucky I'm short." Nico said plainly. I sighed, things have changed I guess.
"Guys! A prophecy was given! Percy, Chiron wants you." Jason said, panting.
"I go by Perseus now. And I'll head over right away. Thanks Nico." I walked away with a small wave. Formalities, I will never be able to abandon them.
"Ah, Perseus, I am glad you returned." Chiron said with a smile. He looked like he was waiting for something, for me to correct him.
"Thank you for allowing me in camp during this tough time." I bowed slightly. I noticed Chiron's eyes widen in surprise, and I am not shocked. I changed plenty, I was not respectful, I am now.
"Of course. Now, we need to discuss the given prophecy." Chiron instructed. "You might want to sit." Chiron said, gesturing to a chair that was across him.
"Thank you. Now, what exactly did the prophecy say? Who was it given to?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Rachel had collapsed during a meeting this morning, spilling out the prophecy.
A betrayed hero blessed by strength
Shall lead to the final test
The son of Night and Sea
Shall decide to protect or defeat"
"My, son of Night and Sea, him. I said with a gasp.
"Who is him?" Chiron asked, scrunching up his eyebrows.
"My son." I said vaguely. I didn't want to tell anyone about him, of what Nyx had done to me. But, he is a part of the prophecy, at least a bit of it. I told Chiron of what Nyx had done to me.
"Well, that surely changes things. We now discovered a big part of the prophecy, we need to tell the gods and campers." Chiron decided. I nodded.
"Campers! Gather round!" Chiron shouted after we exited the building. All of the campers, excluding the young ones, were now surrounding us. I tapped Riptide nervously, people were staring at me with heated flares, some of them probably hate me still. Of course I'm fine with that. "Perseus Jackson has deciphered a major part of the prophecy!" Chiron shouted and campers cheered. Everyone looked at me, waiting for me to explain.
"The son of Night and Sea, the son of Nyx and I." I said and people looked at me in shock.
"Why the Hades would you give her your spawn?!" A camper shouted angrily.
"When I first landed in Tartarus, I was ambushed. Nyx already had a plan for me because she knew I was coming. She offered me food and drinks, and of course I was a naive idiot, and took whatever she allowed me to take. I didn't know that she had filled them with love potions. I have no memory after that, until I woke up. She blessed me with this tail and ears, although she wanted it to be a curse. I escaped quickly after." I explained simply.
"Why would you consider it a blessing? You look like a freak." An Ares kid growled defiantly.
"Well, I am now the king of hellhounds because of it. I have the flowing blood of their previous king, and if I were you, I wouldn't mess with the superior. Now, I'm not usually a cocky bastard, but don't test me." I said, and he cowered, a hilarious sight indeed.
"Well, now we need to find out the one blessed by strength." Chiron said darkly.
"Well, strength is a gods domain, who is the god of strength?" An Athena child asked.
"Not a god, a Titan." I corrected. I recognized the Athena kid, I think his name is Malcolm, he stayed on my side.
"What do you mean by that?" Another Athena kid asked. I didn't recognize the kid, so she must've joined when I was gone the last seventeen years.
"If you think about it, Atlas is the Titan of strength. Ares is the closest god to own the domain of strength as far as I remember, which is probably a lot less than I should." I said to myself at the end.
"But what makes you think it's the blessed of Atlas? Wouldn't Ares make more sense? Who would Atlas bless anyways? He doesn't have very much power at the moment, holding the sky and all." A child of Apollo argued back slightly.
"I have cyclops heading his way to take the sky from him. He should be here in a couple of days." I explained. At this, a girl with dark spiky hair stepped in front.
"He killed Zöe! Why the Hades would you bring him here?!" The girl shouted angrily. I couldn't remember her name for the life of me!
"Because, he spent a hundred years training me, I was still a weakling then compared to what I am now. He was an amazing friend to me, and I promised that I would get the weight off his shoulders as soon as I left." I nodded to myself. The girl did not look any happier.
"How can you forgive him! After all he has done to us!" She said angrily.
"I didn't know it was him until he had to leave. He spent a long time, teaching me, pushing me beyond my limits. I was trained by multiple beings because of him! The primordial Tartarus himself sought out to train me! I have formed myself an army! Atlas was there for me longer then any of you demigods!" I shouted angrily and the girl cowered.
"For a huntress of Artemis, you are a coward, Thalia Grace." I said, finally remembering her name. She glared at me, yet it did not affect me in the slightest.
"It is you, Perseus Jackson, who is a coward. You have forcefully shoved the memory of all of us so you wouldn't have to suffer from the memories, because of your fatal flaw." Thalia shouted at me when I was trying to walk away. I felt my claws extract, my fangs growing, and myself ready to pounce.
"Grace, you do not understand how wrong you are. I've changed more than you can imagine. It may have been only 18 years for you, but for me, 1800 years. My fatal flaw was chased off years ago when I begged for mercy on Olympus." I growled out, walking away.
