Me and Alexandra are now in the waiting room. I listen to "A Team" by Ed Sheeran with ear buds in from my iPod. "When will Grandma be out, mom?" I asked, as she chewed on her nails. "I don"t know sweetie."

Alex looked more bored than ever. She looked as if she was thinking. Thinking really hard. It was funny and scary at the same time to see her that way. "Alex?" I called.

No reply.

".. Alex, I'll let you play on my iPod for a while if you talk to me."

No reply, again.

"I just wanted you to know that once you find that doll, you can keep her in your closet or something.
Just keep far away from Michelle, so we don't get into a fight over her. ."

I sighed and went back to listening to Ed Sheeran. But I'm not sure if I made the right choice doing that.
Because a few moments later Jessi walked in through the hospital doors, and I tensed up so much until I just wanted to hide. Pretend to not see her.

After I heard her sniffle a few times, she finally came up to me and whispered, "Where is she?" In the deepest voice I have heard a female make. Ever. Then something hit me. "Michelle?" Alexandra glanced at me in shock.
Jessi had a puzzled look.

"My mom's name isn't Michelle, Spencer. You should know that by now." She then stood up and squinted her eyes. "It's Lana!" A quick flashback of her very tall Indian mother when we had play dates long ago came back to me.

"Oh, yeah." I murmured. "Wait! I think I might know where she is." Alex interrupted with excitement. "Stay seated, hon. You never know when the doctors could call us in." Our mom insisted meanwhile switching between the 3 of us a dirty look with her droopy eyes.

Jessi walked casually over to Alexandra and parted her black hair so her ear was showing. "Tell me." Once she walked off, I started panicking. My mind was racing with questions.
Questions like:
Why was Jessi here?
How does Alexandra know her? Or her mom?!
How did .. Agh, I think too much.
But the main question is,
When did Alex get the doll?
