I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ears. I immediately turn the clock off. I groggily open my eyes, getting blinded by the harsh rays of the sun. Once my eyes adjust to the sunlight I look over at the clock to see that it's 7:00 am.

'Time to get up.'

I slowly get up and tear the warm blankets off of my body.  The cold temperature of my room hits like a wave-making me shiver. I shudder and my way to my bathroom.

Walking into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror I saw the dark bags under my eyes. Last night I spent hours eating cake and candy. Why? Because yesterday was my birthday so decided to stay up and eat cake and candy for a little while. Sitting my eyes from the mirror. I walk towards the shower.

Twisting the knob. I set it on warm and let the water rain down. I take off my clothes and put my shower cap on before I  stepped into the shower. Closing the curtain, the water hits my skin, breathing in the steam from the warm water. I then grab my sponge and lather it cherry blossom scented body wash and scrub myself. I then let the warm water wash me off.

I got out and grab the towel off the rack and wrap it around my body.

Walking into my room. Going to my drawers. I take out a clean pair of underwear and a sports bra. I quickly put them on after drying off my body. I then walked to my closet and put on my usual outfit.  Which is a light purple short-sleeved shirt under a dark purple jacket. I was wearing black ANBU-style pants. I have blue ninja shoes and a black forehead protector on my forehead.

I then walk out of my toom heading to the kitchen.

I walked into the kitchen to see my mom also known as Anka. I was still getting used to calling her that. I noticed my dad Dai wasn't in the kitchen this morning.

"Morning mom," I greeted. "Where dad?"

"Morning Haru. He had to leave early the Hokage wanted to see him. Anyway, are you ready for today?" She asked, still preparing my breakfast.

"Yeah, today we are getting our team and our jounin sensei," I replied taking a seat at the table.

"Do you have anyone of interest that you want on your team?" She asked as she looked over her shoulder at me.

"Hmm, maybe Sakura," I said with a slight blush on my face.

"The Haruno girl? She the one you have feelings for right," she said with a smile on her face.

I let out a cough at her comment. "What! Of course, I don't like her that way."

"Haru. I can easily tell that your lying," she said rolling her eyes at me. "She is the girl you have feelings for. Isn't she? She a very smart girl, and has nice parents." My mom smiled.

"Y-yeah," I said looking down at the ground.

"Hey, no need to act all shy. Now eat your breakfast or you'll be late," she said placing the meal in front of me.

"Yes boss," I said nodding.

I see her shake her head at the nickname and softly rubs my head as she walks away. I look down at my breakfast and see that it was waffles and bacon, with a strawberry banana smoothie on the side. I lick my lips seeing my breakfast and eat it savoring it.

After eating the delicious breakfast my mom made. I drink my Strawberry banana smoothie to wash it down. Putting my dishes in the sink. I walk out of the kitchen and make my way out of the house.

"Bye mom," I called out.

"Bye Haru, take care. I see you when I get home from work," she called back.

"Okay, see you later."

I open the door and walked outside of the house. Making my way to the Academy.

I arrived at the classroom and hear the loud conversation that several people are having.

I enter the classroom and see people scattered across the room. I look for the pink hair girl I grew to like but don't see her. Slightly disappointed, I walk towards my seat which is next to Hinata like usual.

"Morning Hinata," I greeted quietly.

"Um, morning Haru," Hinata greeted back playing with her fingers.

I take a book from my ninja pouch. The study of Shikotsumyaku (Dead Bone pluse) kekkei genkai. I open the cover after reading the title and start reading the book.

"The Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai gives the Kaguya clan the ability to manipulate their skeletal structure. By infusing their calcium with chakra, they can manipulate the growth and properties of their bones to their liking.

I stopped reading and look up as soon as I hear stampeding coming towards the classroom. The door slams open and a small smile appears on my face.

Sakura Haruno...And of course Ino Yamanaka.

As they bicker and fight about who was first, I put my book away in the pouch I got it from. I frown as I watch Sakura looking over at Sasuke.

"Hey, Sakura-" I heard Naruto start to say looking at Sakura.

"Move!" She pushes him away, "hey Sasuke. Do you think I could sit next to you?" She asked bashfully.

Once again, I feel my heart sink seeing her flirt with Sasuke. No matter how much I try talking to her she never notices me. It's always Sasuke. Seriously what's so great about him.

I get pulled out of my thoughts hearing someone jump onto a desk. I looked over to the desk on the left to see Naruto squat on the desk glaring at Sasuke.

I knew he was thinking the same thing. Since he too likes Sakura. He likes Sakura just as much as I do, he's always trying to get her attention as well, but sadly both of us never gain it. She only pays attention to the brooding emo boy.

"Naruto, knock it off!" Sakura yelled.

"Don't glare at Sasuke."

'Leave Sasuke alone."

The fangirls begin to tell at Naruto as he hatefully glares at Sasuke.

The boy in the front seat accidentally pushed Naruto making him fall forward. With that push, it made both boys lock lips.

The class erupts with laughter as the boys laugh.  I see that all the girls expect Hinata glare daggers at Naruto.

The boy's back away gagging and spitting trying to get the taste out of their mouths.

I winced as the girls, except Hinata beat Naruto up in anger. Jealous that he stole Sasuke's first kiss. Eventually, they all stop in the result of a bruised Naruto.

At that moment, Iruka walked in, and immediately the class goes silent. In his hand is a clipboard.

"Congratulations, on becoming Genin! From now on you'll be tasked to take missions for the village. You'll all be placed on assigned teams. They're all three-man squads, but with an odd number of graduates, there's one four-man squad. These teams will all have a Jounin sensei as the team leader. You'll follow their instructions for a result of having successful missions," he explained making the class frown with complaints. "We tried our best to balance each team with equal strength."

'Your man squad?'

"Team seven, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno-"

Naruto jump with glee, happy that he got his life interest on the same team. Sakura, on the other hand, slumps with a cloud of depression surrounding her.

"Sasuke Uchiha-"

The roles change. Naruto slumping in depression. Sakura, well look like she was on cloud nine, in absolute glee she has Sasuke on the same team, with a dreamy look on her face.

'She never looked at me like that.' I thought as my heart sink.

"And Haru Kaguya."

I looked up with a small smile on my face, but still a little sadness in my eyes. I had at least somewhat of a chance to get her to notice me.

"Iruka, why does a great ninja-like me need to be on the same team as a slug-like him," Naruto exclaimed pointing at Sauske.

"Naruto, out of all the students Sasuke got the highest scores while you were dead last. You understand that these teams are supposed to be balanced right," Iruka explained, making the class erupt in laugher.

"Just don't get in my way loser," Sasuke mock, making the class laugh even more.

'He is so arrogant.'

"Alright class, you're dismissed, but after lunch report back to meet your sensei's, Iruka said.

Immediately everyone left the class to eat lunch with their new teammates.
