5-year time skip- 12 years old

Haru's P.O.V

I woke up to my alarm clock going off.   I looked over at my clock and saw that it was 7 am signaling that it was time to get up and get ready for the academy.

I got out of my bed and headed to my bathroom to take a nice lukewarm shower.

Once I was done shower. I went back into my bedroom and got dressed into a light purple shirt and a light purple short-sleeved shirt with a dark purple jacket over it. I was also wearing black ANBU-style pants. Along with blue ninja shoes.

"Alright time to eat some breakfast then brush my hair after," I said looking at my bed hair in the mirror before heading downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast.

I walked into the kitchen to see Anka cooking breakfast.  While dai was sitting at the kitchen table drinking a cup of coffee.

"Good morning," I greeted taking a seat at the table across from Dai.

"Morning Haru," Anka said.

"Good morning," Dai said giving me a warm smile.

I gave him a small smile back. I will admit that after five years of living with them. I have actually grown to enjoy living here with Anka and Dai. They're not my brother or family but aren't bad people. I guess they are sort of like my new family.

"So are you ready for class today?" Anka asked drawing me out of my thoughts on how my life has changed since when I first started living with them.

"Yeah more excited for the graduation exam coming up," I replied.

"Yeah the academy can be pretty boring when you already know most of the stuff they teach you already," Dai said.

"True," Anka said. "Anyway here your breakfast," she said placing a plate of toast and bacon along with a glass of a strawberry banana smoothie.

"Thanks looks good," I said picking up a piece of bacon and eating it.

"It sure does dear," Dai said smiling at Anka as she brought him his food. "Glad I didn't have to leave early for work today."

"True you usually good to work earlier for border patrol being part of the security section of the ANBU," Anka replied.

"Yeah well, the hokage gave me time off he wanted to talk with me later today."

I continue to eat my breakfast and drink my smoothie in silence hearing some and  Dai and Anka conversation every now and then. I wasn't paying much attention to it since they talking to each other not me.

"What do you think he wants to talk to you about?"

"I don't know just hope he not taking me out of the ANBU to make me one of the sensei for the future genin."

I stood and took my dishes to the sink once I was done eating my breakfast and drinking my smoothie.

I then headed upstairs to brush my long white hair that was down to my back and had a left stopping on the left side of my forehead and bang on the right that with down to my cheek.

After brushing my bed hair and grabbing my tool pouch. I said goodbye to Anka and Dai and left for the ninja academy.

I arrived at the academy and saw that Iruka-sensei wasn't here yet. Which was strange since class starts in ten minutes.

I shrugged and took a seat next to Hinata.

"Hello Hinata," I greeted.

"Hi Haru," Hinata said quietly.

Hinata is one of my closest friends at the academy. We get along well with both of us not being talkers. I was also good friends with Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, and Kiba.

Yet my best friend would have to be Kin. Kin always made sure those three girls didn't try to bully me again, but I haven't seen him around that often since he graduated and became a genin last year. Since he is a year older than me and my classmates.

'I wonder how he doing. From what I heard last time we hung out he was second best in his class after Neji Hyuga who is Hinata's older cousin.' I thought resting my head on the desk.

'Next time I see him I ask him how things are going and who his teammates are.'

I was then pulled out my thoughts by the door slamming open. I looked over at the door to see Iruka-sensei throw a tied-up Naruto to the floor.

"Tomorrow is the graduation exam and you failed it the last two times! This is not the time to be causing trouble!" Iruka-sensei scold, pointing a finger at Naruto's face.

Naruto huffs turning away. "Whatever," he sassed.

I shook my head at his everyday foolish behavior. While Iruka was looking at him irritated.

"Since Naruto wants to cause trouble we will be doing a transformation justu test! Everyone line up!" Iruka-sensei informed fed up with Naruto's behavior.

"What?!" Almost everyone shouted annoyed.

The class lined up in a straight. I was next to Naruto and Sasuke the annoying emo boy almost every girl seems to like except Hinata she has feelings for Naruto.

Sakura was up first.  Speaking of Sakura I admit that ever since I first saw her I couldn't stop thinking about her and realize that I do have a crush on her as Anka and Dai said.

"Sakura Haruno. Here I go," she said. "Transform!"

She transformed perfectly into Iruka-sensei. I nodded at her performance she very smart.

"I did it!" She squealed delighted she passed. "Did you see that, Sasuke-kun?!"

I sighed. That was the bad thing I having feelings for Sakura. Yet another one of Sakura fangirls. I wouldn't admit it to any not being one to talk about my feelings, but it painful to watch.

"Next, Sasuke Uchiha!" Iruka-sensei shouted.

Sauske walked up doing the justu like nothing he didn't even use hand signs. Leaving Iruka-sensei dumbfounded.

"Next up Haru Kaguya!" Iruka-sensei announced.

I walked up, 'Who should I transform into? There are so many good choices. Wait I know who I should do now.'

I did hand signs imagining Kin's current appearance which wasn't much different from five years ago. He mainly just had a new hairstyle and a different color shirt along with his new dark blue headband on his forehead.

"Great job, Haru," Iruka-sensei praised.

I turn back to my original self. "Thanks, sensei."

Whispers went around wondering who I transformed into except three girls who recognize him as the boy who always stopped them from messing with me and Iruka-sensei who had him as a student during his graduation year. He had a different teacher for his second year at the academy the year I met him.

"Next, Naruto Uzumaki!"

"This is a real drag," Shikamaru whined.

"And it's all your fault," Ino who was Sakura's rival for Sasuke's love and to prove is the best ninja.

"Like I care," Naruto sassed back.

I watch as he fixes the green goggles on his head before making a hand sign. I noticed the hand signs were different and knew he was up to no good like usual.

I sweatdrop at the sight of Naruto transformed into a female version of himself with a cloud around her.

Naruto busted out laughing. "How was that? I call it my, Sexy justu!"

"You fool! Stop making idiotic justus!" Iruka-sensei shouted irritated.

The class was now dismissed, but Iruka kept Naruto behind. He wanted Naruto to clean up the mess he made on the Hokage's faces. I admit Naruto is a good friend, but he causes too much trouble sometimes.

I shook my head and opened the door of the house.

"I'm home," I said taking my shoes off.

Dai then walked out of the kitchen. "Hey, Haru how was your day?" He asked.

"It was strange. Naruto cause trouble like always and made us have to do the transformation justu. Instead of doing the transformation justu. He did his so call sexy justu."

Dai chuckled. "That kid always causing trouble."

"True. Anyway is Anka still at work?"

"No she will be home soon she was just picking up some groceries. Also just call us mom and dad. After all, you like the child we don't have, but one day Anka will get pregnant since we found out it was possible."

"I guess you two are kind of like parents to me. Well, I will be upstairs reading."

I was laying in bed reading a book on body structure since I was kind of interested in becoming a medical ninja.

This book has a lot of detail about the human body structure and how they work.

I was then drawn out of my reading by the smell of sushi. Which meant that dinner must be ready to eat soon.

"Haru dinner is ready!" Anka called out from downstairs in the kitchen.

I put my book down and headed downstairs to eat dinner.

The next day I walked to the academy after eating breakfast and saying goodbye to Anka who I was starting to call mom.

I was thinking about the graduate exam. I was excited to start my journey as a ninja and not doing all the boring activities in the academy.

Reaching the classroom, I took a seat next to Hinata like usual. We both quietly greeted each other while waiting for the class to start.

As time passes by, students start to fill the room as they sit In their seats. It isn't long when the bell rings which signifies the start of class. Then almost instantly, Iruka-sensei walks into the classroom holding his clipboard like he always does.

"Good morning, everyone," he greeted us with a smile.

"Alright, as all of you know, today is the academy's graduation exam. To graduate, you'll have to perform the Clone justu. When you're called, come to the next room," he informs us, reading from his clipboard." up first, Aburame Shino."

I then watched as the said boy follows after our teacher.  I rest my head on my desk waiting for my turn to go back.

I watched as students go in, and come out with their newly acquired headband. I zone out a few times since I was laying my head against the desk. Most of my thoughts were about my brother, a few about what I want to do for my birthday on March 20th which was coming up soon,  and finally one about my future as a ninja.

I then pulled out my thoughts.

"Haru Kaguya," Iruka-sensei called out.

I stood up and walked down the steps. Making my way to the next room.

Upon my arrival, I noticed Iruka and the other sensei who I recall name is Mizuki. They're sitting behind a desk that currently showing case a large number of headbands. All of them clean, pristine, and polished, and their cloth were all different colors.

Iruka-sensei cleared his throat. "All right Haru. For this exam to graduate, you must make three perfect clones of yourself. They should resemble you completely and show full motor functions, do understand," he informed me with more detail than before.

"Got it no need to explain it to me again," I said nodding in understanding. "Can I begin now?"

"Yeah go-ahead," Iruka-sensei said smiling at me. While the other sensei looked completely bored.

Concentrating a steady amount of chakra. I performed the needed hand signs after building up my chakra and controlling it. The signs weren't hard.

"Clone justu," I muttered just loud enough for them to hear me.

Hearing the sudden poof beside me. I turn my head and notice three copies of myself. They were in top condition. Every detail of my clothes and my facial features.

I turn to Iruka and smile, awaiting his evaluation.

He nodded giving me a proud smile. "You pass! Congratulations Haru," he informed.

"Thank you," I said dispelling the justu.

"Here's your Leaf headband, a sign that you are now an official Genin," Iruka said standing up from his seat and handing me and black hitai-ate. I nodded my thanks before he continued. "All right then, can you please send in Naruto?"

"Sure," I said exciting the room.

Walking into the room. I tie my headband around my head before I turn towards Naruto.

"Naruto it's your turn," I tell him waving towards the room.

He looked towards me and noticed he was freaking out. I sighed knowing he was nervous because he bad at that justu.

I gave him a thumbs-up, showing her my support. He smiled feeling a little bit better and walked into the room.

I then headed outside to head home and let Anka and Dai I passed. Since we were allowed to leave after we got our headbands, and go celebrate with our family and friends.

'Now all I have to do is wait to see who my teammates are. Then I can start my journey as a full-fledged ninja.' I thought walking out of the academy and heading home.
