The Mikaelsons and Caroline joined Sophie at the cemetery, where they were waiting for Marcel and Davina to arrive so the Harvest ritual could be complete. Suddenly, flames started to erupt near the entrance, which startled everyone.
"Fire..." Sophie said to herself, noticing Davina was now in the last stage.
A few seconds later, Marcel appeared, carrying Davina in his arms. As Marcel walked towards to them, the flames followed them in a trail that would go to Marcel's heals. Once they got to the altar, Marcel say her down and Sophie hold the ceremonial blade over the flames, before walking over to Davina.
"Do you believe in the Harvest?" Sophie asked and Davina nodded nervously.
"I believe." Davina said and Sophie upon hearing those words, raised the bald and slit Davina's throat with it. Davina let out a gasp and instinctively grabbed her throat before she fall down.
Marcel catches her and lay her down and on the ground, while Klaus hugged Caroline, noticing Caroline wasn't even able to watch Davina dying. Suddenly, the rain stopped and Davina's skin glows gold as the magic left her body and flew into the earth.
"After the Harvest comes the Reaping. Their sacrifices made and accepted. We call upon our Elders to resurrect the chosen ones." Sophie said firmly but nothing happened, making everyone look at each other, feeling uneasy, then Sophie repeated herself. "We call upon your Elders to resurrect the chosen ones..." Nothing happened once more, so Sophie started to feel nervous and her eyes started to feel watery. "Resurrect your chosen ones... Please? I beg."
Caroline started to cry, not only because of pregnancy hormones but because in the last months she has gotten to know Davina, she truly cared about her and saw her as a dear friend, Klaus noticed how Caroline was and only hugged her tightly, hating seeing her like that. Sophie was no longer in denial and fall on her knees as she cried and Rebekah started to crying to.
Once they went to the French Quarter, they saw Elena, Bonnie and Stefan waiting for them.
"Where is Davina?" Bonnie asked and everyone looked down, making Bonnie start to feel her eyes watery but she just couldn't accept something like that would happen.
"I'm sorry, Bonnie." Caroline said with her eyes watery too.
"Wasn't she supposed to be resurrected?" Elena asked confused.
"We don't know what happened. Maybe the Elders didn't believe in the sacrifice." Elijah said.
"Kol and I tried to warn you." Rebekah said upset and left to her room.
"I'm gonna check on her." Stefan said and left.
"I am going to my room. I need some space." Bonnie said and left.
"I'm gonna check on Bonnie." Kol said but before he could go after her, he felt someone grabbing his arm, making him turn around and see Elena.
"Bonnie cared a lot about Davina. She needs some space. Give her the space she needs."
"Elena is right. Bonnie needs some time to process everything. She was really close to Davina. She lost so many people already... Tomorrow, you can try to talk with her but for now give her some space. Please. For her." Caroline asked and Kol left to his room, hating feeling helpless in this situation.

Caroline and Klaus were in their bedroom talking about Davina and everything that had happened.
"This whole things was doomed from the start!" Caroline said upset. "I mean, we were able to save the people and the city... but this didn't go the way I thought it would. You surprised me, thought. You were quite helpful today. Caring for your clan, providing them shelter and food. I knew that behind your big bad hybrid act there was actually a cute softie puppy."
"Don't ever say that in public. You will ruin the reputation I took so long to create. Besides, I blame you. Since I've met you I've became nicer to people. You are a bad influence on me." Klaus smirked, making Caroline smile.
"I knew this plan was crazy, but I was really hoping it would work out." Caroline said with her smile vanishing away quickly.
"So did I, love." Klaus confessed. "I was so sure Davina would survive. She had so much life in her."
"I am wondering about something..." Caroline said. "I mean, it was supposed for Davina and the other girls from the Harvest to be resurrected. We saw her power going to the ground... Where did all that power went? Wasn't supposed to someone come back?"
"Maybe it's what Elijah said, and the Elders didn't bring anyone back because they didn't believe in the sacrifice we were making." Klaus said, trying to reassure Caroline and hiding how concern he was with what Caroline just said because he knew that she was right to have those questions.
"Maybe... I don't know why. But I feel that something is off. That this was not the end... That there's something coming." Caroline said with a concerned look.
"Don't worry, love. You're safe. I'm here with you and I'll do whatever it takes to assure you are safe and sound." Klaus said and gave a peck on Caroline's lips.
