Caroline was packing her things in a spare room the hybrids had and she was trying to focus on organizing and cleaning the room instead of thinking about Klaus, what he did and how much it affect her.
She was putting in the wardrobe some tops and t-shirts, when she noticed that one of the t-shirts was what she was wearing when she turned into a werewolf.
*Flashback*
Caroline was driving with her boyfriend Tyler next to her. They were going to her place when, suddenly she heard a big pitch noise.
"What's that? Can you hear it?" Caroline asked, having now a big headache.
"Caroline... Stop!"
"I... I can't..." Caroline said, closing her eyes in pain and before she knew it, there was a crash.
Next thing she knows, it's morning and she's in the hospital, seeing her mother seating in a chair next to the bed.
"Wha-What happened?" Caroline asked, feeling a bit confused, then she remembered the car crash, making her start to panic. "Tyler... Where's Tyler? How is he? I need to see him."
"Honey, Hey... You- You should rest." Her mother suggested.
"Rest? I can't do that before I know how is Tyler. I know you didn't like him but he is my boyfriend and I love him." Caroline said, trying to convince her mother to let her see Tyler.
"You need to know something but first you need to take a deep breath and try to calm down." Liz said.
"Okay... What happened?" Caroline asked, not sure if she wanted to know the answer.
"Tyler... He didn't make it. It was already too late when the ambulance got there. I'm so sorry, sweetie." Liz said with an apologetic look.
"No! He can't be..." Caroline said in tears. "It's all my fault. I should have let him drive but I was too stubborn to listen to him. I killed him."
"These things happen. You didn't kill him. It was an accident. Nobody could predict this would happen." Liz said.
"You weren't there. How can you say it was an accident?"
"Because you weren't in full control. You were in transition." Liz said.
*End Of Flashback*
She felt that was the day her life completely change, she had to learn how to control herself, how to control her temper, how to control her strength... That was the day she decided she couldn't afford to lose control ever again.
Caroline decided to start cleaning the room to try to forget about everything, so she grabbed a few cleaning products and started to clean the room. She was now cleaning the door when she started to think about the time she knock on the door of a certain person.
*Flashback*
Caroline knocked on the door, not sure what to expect to happen or if what she was doing was the right thing or not, but she felt that she needed to give a shot.
"Hello, Love! To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
"I wanted to ask you for a favor." Caroline said and Klaus chuckled.
"Oh... You mean it." Klaus said and stopped laughing when saw she was being serious. "What is it?"
"I want you to train me. I want to learn how to control myself but also be able to fight if I need to." Caroline said.
"Alright... And why are you coming to me and not your little friends?" Klaus asked feeling suspicious for obvious reasons.
"Because everyone just seems to want to talk and try to make me talk about... Tyler."
"I've heard what happened. I'm sorry."
"Don't!" Caroline quickly cut him off. "I'm here because all I want is to learn how to have control but also be able to fight."
"Alright... And what do I get with helping you?"
"Realizing you can do good deeds without expecting anything in return...?" Caroline tried and Klaus gave her a look.
"Fine. How about... I'll help you see why you can't turn werewolves into hybrids."
"Deal." Klaus said with a smirk.
*End Of Flashback*
That was the moment Klaus truly became a part of Caroline's life, even if she didn't want to admit it.
Caroline was organizing some of her things, trying to keep her mind busy and clear but it was definitely not working.
*Flashback*
Caroline was fighting with her friends because they found out that after classes she would go to see Klaus to train and they didn't felt that was a good thing because they didn't know what Klaus could do or what he could convince her to do.
"He is only teaching me how to control myself and how to fight."
"Klaus and control don't really belong together." Alaric said.
"We are only worried about you." Stefan said.
"We don't know what he is capable of doing." Elena said.
"He is dangerous." Bonnie said.
"Whatever. At least he agreed to help me with all this that is happening to me instead of just wanting me to talk about how I feel." Caroline said.
"We think you need to talk about how you feel. You can't just repress things and act like nothing happened." Elena said and then everything went black.
Caroline woke up and saw everyone arguing with Damon.
"You killed her!" Elena said angry with Damon.
"I did what none of you had the balls to do. She was being a big risk for us, so now there's no longer any risk. Because unlike you, I don't mind having some blood on my hands." Damon said.
"You killed me?" Caroline asked.
"How...?" Stefan asked.
"What's wrong with your eyes?" Bonnie asked noticing they were kinda bloody.
"I'm gonna call Klaus." Stefan said.
"What?" Damon asked.
"He might know what's going on." Stefan said and then called Klaus, telling him that Caroline had died and come back, without telling him who killed her.
Once Klaus appeared, Caroline walked over to him, even if she felt she was dying.
"Love, who did this to you?"
"Doesn't matter. I need to know what's happening and how am I not dead..."
"I think you are in transition..." Klaus whispered.
"What? So... Am I going to die?" Caroline asked because until that moment Klaus was being unsuccessful with making more of his kind.
"I believe it's time for us to try your theory." Klaus said.
"The blood of a doppelgänger." Klaus and Caroline said at the same time, making everyone look at Elena.
"No! I can't hurt Elena. She's my best friend."
"Then you'll die." Klaus said.
"It's okay." Elena said, grabbed her keys and cut her palm, letting the blood drop to a cup and quickly she gave it to Caroline.
Caroline drank the blood and suddenly, all the pain, all the anger, it went away.
"How do you feel, love?" Klaus asked.
"I feel... amazing!" Caroline said, making her friends look at her in a very confused way. "I mean, I don't feel pain, I am not dying..."
"Your emotions might be very intense at the moment." Stefan said.
"How about I take you home? You probably need some rest after the day you had."
"Okay. See you guys tomorrow." Caroline said and left with Klaus.
