As soon as Klaus appeared in the hallway, Stefan and Elijah requested to talk with him, so the three went to the office and Klaus listened to Elijah and Stefan giving arguments about how Klaus should be merciful with Damon and Alaric.

It was afternoon and Klaus requested Caroline's presence in his office and he closed the door so no one could hear them.

"What do you want?" Caroline asked as she crossed her arms and stayed with an annoyed look.

"I already made my decision and put it in action." Klaus said, quickly capturing Caroline's attention. "They had to be punished..."

*Flashback*

Klaus went to the basement, where Damon was in.

"What the hell do you want, you bastard?"

"In deed, I am." Klaus smirked. "Now, listen to me." Klaus said and started to compel Damon. "You will remember you hurt Caroline Forbes and you will wake up every day, filled with guilt. Even knowing Caroline was an honest person and a true friend, you doubt of her. You will no longer doubt of her. You are aware that Caroline is only close to Klaus because of the Pact. You know Caroline would never care for a monster like Klaus Mikaelson. You know that all she is doing is so she can protect her friends. You know Caroline would never let any harm to come to Elena. You are going to Mystic Falls and keep an eye on Liz Forbes, like you promised Caroline. You will make sure nothing bad happens to Liz Forbes. You will never try to hurt Caroline, any of the Mikaelsons, any of the hybrids or any of Klaus's allies."

Damon nodded in silence and Klaus went to Alaric's room, compelling Alaric to no longer try to hurt him, his siblings, Caroline or his allies, then to leave to Mystic Falls and keep an eye on things.

*End Of Flashback*

"You let them go..." Caroline smiled and hugged Klaus. "Thank you."

"It worked for you this time but don't you try to threat me again." Klaus whispered and pushed her against the wall.

"What can I do to compensate you?" Caroline whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I was thinking of something like this..." Klaus whispered and started to kiss her neck, making her let out soft moans, which only turned him on but they didn't went any further than that.

Once everyone found out that Damon and Alaric were safe and sound and on their way to Mystic Falls, they decided to have a movie night to relax from all the drama.

Rebekah was fascinated at the amount of movies there was at their disposition and that they were now all full of color.

They were all in a dark room to watch the movie like if they were at the movies. Elena sat between Elijah and Bonnie and next to Bonnie was Kol, then on the other couch there was Stefan between Rebekah and Caroline and Klaus next to Caroline.

Stefan would whisper every once in awhile fun facts about the movie, the actors and the year of the movie, while Elena and Bonnie ate the popcorn with their full attention on the movie.

Caroline went to the basement to get more blood bags and Klaus followed her.

"You should drink human blood. You probably still need some rest." Klaus said.

"You know how I feel about that." Caroline said.

"You can always drink from me." Klaus whispered with a smirk.

"That's too intimate." Caroline whispered after rolling her eyes.

"Love, you could be so much stronger if you would drink from the vein. I'm not even telling you to kill someone, just do the drink and erase." Klaus whispered.

"I already told you that I don't like to mess with other people's memories. I don't like to compel people." Caroline sighed.

"Why? There must be a reason why you are so against it."

"Because..." Caroline said but then stayed quiet, making Klaus give her a look, so she rolled her eyes and said. "I didn't enjoy doing whatever you told me to do when I was sired to you... Compelling someone would result in me doing the same to someone else. And I don't want to mess with anyone's head. I don't want them to feel that part of their life is missing, that they have no free will, nor make someone feel like he or she is going crazy because can't remember doing certain things or how got certain wounds."

"Who hurt you?"

"What?" Caroline asked, faking to be confused.

"The way you talk about compulsion. Someone compelled you to do things you didn't want to do. Someone hurt you. Who was it?" Klaus whispered now with a furious face because just the thought of someone hurting a string of Caroline's hair made him furious.

"Klaus, it's been a long day. Please, let me just go back to the living room and watch some movies." Caroline whispered.

"Alright. But you won't be able to avoid this conversation forever." Klaus whispered and they walked back to the living room.

As the movie ended and Rebekah chose another one, Elijah noticed Elena had fallen asleep with her head resting on his shoulder.

"It's getting late. I am going to sleep." Elijah whispered to everyone. "I'll take Elena to her bedroom so you'll be able to watch the movie without worrying about waking her up."

"Goodnight, brother!" Rebekah whispered with a smile as Elijah picked up Elena in bride style.

Klaus simply look at his older brother with a serious face, wondering if Elijah was getting too close with Elena and if that was the case if he should intervene so his plan wouldn't fail.

As Elijah took Elena to her bedroom, he lay her on the bed, took off her shoes, placing them in the place she kept her shoes, then he went back to her bed to push the covers, in order of protecting her from the cold night. Before he could leave Elena's bedroom, he found himself admiring her beauty and caressing her cheek.

"Hmmm..." Elena sounded in her sleep.

Elijah decided it was time to leave before he would wake her up, but when he was about to leave, he felt Elena grabbing his hand.

"Elijah..." she whispered with a sleepy voice.

"Elena... You fall asleep in the couch. I took the liberty to take you to your bedroom so you could sleep in a more comfortable place." Elijah whispered.

"Is it okay if I ask you to stay... just for a little bit?" Elena whispered. "You can go, if it's too much trouble."

"It's no trouble at all, lovely Elena." Elijah whispered and lay down next to Elena.

"Thank you." Elena whispered as she closed her eyes, never stop holding Elijah's hand, letting herself fall asleep again.

Bonnie and Kol went to the safe house because Bonnie didn't want Davina to feel all alone, like she probably felt when Marcel kept her hidden. Kol simply went with Bonnie because he wanted to spend a little more time with the Bennett witch who had a sharp tongue, but used as an excuse Klaus mto wanting Bonnie alone because could plan something that would go against Klaus's big plan.

Caroline was still feeling a bit weak, so she went to her room with a blood bag. Klaus left the living room not long after Caroline and decided to go see her.

"Klaus, I was about to go to sleep." Caroline whispered with a tired voice when Klaus knocked and let himself enter her bedroom.

"Love, I simply am here to see how you were doing." Klaus whispered as he closed the door so they could talk without anyone listening to them.

"I'm fine. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself." Caroline smiled, making Klaus smirk.

"I know, Love. But what you went through..."

"Klaus, it wasn't the first time I was tortured and most likely it won't be the last." Caroline smiled, making Klaus frown and wonder what happened so Caroline would be so calm and fine with that kind of thought.

"Love, I will do everything to ensure none of this will ever happe-"

"Klaus, don't make promises you can't keep. You won't be able to always be by my side. And I won't live like a prisoner in fear of something like this happen again. So... please, let's just move past this." Caroline quickly cut him off.

"How? How can you even do that? It was people you knew and care about who hurt you. How can you just move on? Why don't you want revenge? Why don't you hate them? Why...?" Klaus wondered.

"Klaus, if I start to do that, I'll find myself being this person full of hate and anger just like..." Caroline cut him off.

"Like me? And you don't want to be the monster I am, right?"

"Wrong. What I was going to say, before you rudely interrupted me was that I would become just like Katherine and I don't want that. Besides, I choose to believe that people are good and simply make mistakes along the way." Caroline said.

"I admire the way you look at life and at people..." Klaus whispered. "Are you sure you don't need anymore blood? I could get you a rabbit or something since you are so against drinking from humans."

"I'm alright for now, thanks." Caroline whispered with a smile and was going to get in her bed to sleep but she noticed Klaus still hadn't left her bedroom. "Anything else?"

"I just feel that someone should stay here to make sure nothing will happen to you." Klaus whispered, looking at the window, showing a dark night only illuminated by the distant stars and the moon.

"Fine, then let's make a deal. You can stay and spend the night here but starting tomorrow, you have to sleep in your own bedroom and let me sleep in mine." Caroline said.

"Alright. It's a deal. But if you ever feel that something is odd, then you'll come see me." Klaus said and Caroline nodded in agreement.

"Come on! Let's get some sleep." Caroline whispered and they lay down in her bed.
