Elena went to see Elijah and quickly found him in the library.

"Hey!"

"Hello, lovely Elena!" Elijah said, making Elena smile shyly.

"I wanted to ask you for a favor but if it's too much a bother you can say no." Elena said.

"What is it?"

"Back in Mystic Falls, I had Ric, who helped me training in case I would get in a fight and I was wondering if now you could be the one helping me with that."

"Why do you want to train? You are at most safety and I'll always make sure nothing will happen to you."

"I know. But... If I tell you something, will you promise you will keep it a secret. No one will know, not Bekah, not Klaus... no one." Elena whispered.

"Does it involve going against Niklaus's plans? Or hurting my family?"

"No." Elena quickly said. "It involves my nightmares."

"Your nightmares...?"

"Yes. I have been thinking and... usually dreams are our unconscious revealing our fears and desires... I think because I stopped training, I'm starting to fear that I won't be able to take care of myself. I hate that feeling, Elijah. I already feel like a prisoner in this house... I don't want to feel weak too. Besides, we never know if someone will appear and try to hurt us because of Klaus's plan."

"Elena, do not worry. This stays between us. And I shall help you keep training. But we should do it in the safe house." Elijah said. "The training will start tomorrow and will be after breakfast. I need you to tell me which weapons you know how to use so I can test your ability and teach you how to use new weapons. Of course, we will also train fighting without weapons."

"Elijah, I don't want to hurt you..."

"I'm an Original."

"I know. And I know you will only die with a white oak stake but... wooden stakes and vervain can still hurt you and I don't want to hurt you."

"You will have to get pass through that. If you don't, we will never be able to get you to your full potential. There's a reason to why soldiers act with reason and not with emotion."

"I'm not a soldier, Elijah. And I can't just stop caring about things and people. I'm human, I can't just decide to stop having feelings." Elena said.

"You will need to learn how to compartment all your emotions when you're in a battle. If your emotions will speak louder, your opponent will quickly use that against you."

"That sounds more like Klaus." Elena said, finding odd Elijah talking about hiding emotions because even if he didn't show much emotion, he didn't seem the person who was against it.

"Because Niklaus is right when it comes to this. My feelings made me get hurt many times and one thing I've learned is that in battles, who gets too emotional is the person who loses."

"Are you trying to convince me that every single time you fight to protect your siblings, you aren't doing out of emotion?" Elena asked in disbelief and he looked down. "See? Emotions are what makes us want to fight back, they make us stand up and keep fighting for who we love and for what we want. Emotions give us strength to live."

"Elena, it's more complicated and definitely harder to fight when focusing on your emotions. Emotions can be strength but also can be our undoing. I speak from experience." Elijah said and then put his book on the bookcase. "You still haven't told me. Which weapons do you use?"

"Stakes and vervain grenades."

"There's still a lot you need to learn, then. Tomorrow we will focus on that but then I'll teach you how to use other weapons. I'll maybe start with archery." Elijah said.

"Okay. But before I go, I just want you to know that... I know Klaus doesn't enjoy to talk about feelings and thinks they are just for fools and weak people but if you ever want to talk about it, you can talk to me. It's the least I can do after everything you've been doing for me."

"I'll keep that in mind." Elijah nodded and Elena left.

Bonnie and Kol went to the place Bonnie started to feel that something powerful was going on and ended up in the St. Anne's Church.

"Are you sure this is it?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Because this is a church and maybe what you are feeling is the power of the ancestors who died in here." Kol whispered as they walked in.

"Hello! It's always nice to see a new faces." The pastor said.

"Hey! We are new here and we're just looking around."

"Of course. Feel free to pray. I'll have to go now." the pastor said and went with a woman to a cabin so she would confess.

"Maybe you could confess to him while I try to figure out where this feeling comes from."

"Darling, if I start confessing, I won't be able to get out of here so soon." Kol smirked, making Bonnie roll her eyes. "What? I've lived a long life. I'm only a man. I am not a God."

"You don't need to say that, everyone can see you are not a God." Bonnie scoffed.

"So fierce... I love it!" Kol smirked, making Bonnie roll her eyes and start walking around the church as he followed her.

"Someone is practicing magic in here... I can feel it." Bonnie whispered to Kol.

"I don't hear anyone's heartbeat besides the pastor, the guilty sinner and yours."

"You don't believe me, do you?" Bonnie whispered.

"It's not that. I believe you, Bonnie, but this is a place that had a lot of magic so maybe it's you that are mixing things."

"I know what I feel, Kol!" Bonnie said and left the church.

"Come on, darling! Don't be upset. I wasn't trying to be mean." Kol said.

"Yeah, right... I'm pretty sure the only reason you came with me was because Klaus doesn't want me to go out without a bodyguard." Bonnie said upset.

"Darling, I do believe you. And it might be true that I follow you everywhere because of Nik but it's also because you are nice to be around and it's always better than being in that house listening to Nik threat to dagger me again." Kol said and Bonnie could see he was being honest.

"Fine. But no matter what you say, I still think there's something going on in here."

"What if we visit this place at night, when no one expect us." Kol suggested.

"You would do that?" Bonnie smiled.

"Of course, darling."

"Thank you." Bonnie said with a smile and hugged him.

Next on The Pact

"But if you try to flee I will quickly break that pact and kill you after killing everyone you care about."

"What are you doing?"
***
"Very rebellious and brave of you, may I add."
