Once Elena and Elijah got back to the mansion, they put the food in the kitchen and went to the library, while Rebekah and Stefan talked and drink in the living room.
Elijah was reading one of his favorite books from the 19th century while Elena read a romance novel.
They were in a couch and Elijah noticed Elena wanted to lay her legs but didn't want to say anything about it.
"Elena, if you want, I can go seat on that armchair and you can lay down your legs..."
"No. There's no need for that. Stay." Elena quickly said.
"At least lay you legs on my lap."
"I'm not going to do that. I already bother you too much."
"You don't. Besides, Niklaus wants me to reassure you are enjoying your stay here so you won't run away... which I doubt you will do." Elijah said.
"Thank you, Elijah." Elena whispered and lay down her legs on his legs. "Not just for this. For everything. You've been amazing with me."
Elijah simply smiled to Elena and then they both went back to reading their books.
Suddenly, Elena felt Elijah's hand on her leg and him starting to caressing it softly, making her have this warm feeling inside and finding herself smiling.

Rebekah went to her bedroom when saw Elena going to the library with Elijah, making Stefan quickly follow her.
"Bekah, are you okay? What happened? I thought we were having a nice time."
"Stefan, you and Elena broke up not long ago. I shouldn't be drinking with you. I know I'm not her biggest friend but I'm trying to be her friend and it's clear she still has feelings for you." Rebekah said.
"We agreed on being friends. We felt our relationship changed and that we were getting distant from each other. Even if we kept being together, it would be more of us fighting to try to have what we had instead of actually being in a relationship." Stefan said.
"I don't want to get in more dramas with Elena because of guys." Rebekah whispered.
"You won't." Stefan whispered and she smiled to him.

Caroline and Klaus were walking around the streets of New Orleans and Caroline was still talking about how many the fake witch did saw something in the cards.
"Love, Nothing is going to happen. We will just get my throne back." Klaus said for the fifth time.
"How can you be so sure? And don't tell me it's because she's a fake witch. Sometimes people have those feelings that even if they can't see the future, they are correct about something that they feel it will happen." Caroline said worried and Klaus pressed her against a brick wall to make her stop walking around and focus on what he said.
"Love, she doesn't see the future. She doesn't know anything. She probably thought that we were a married couple who will have issues like finding a home or fighting about how many kids to have. You can't be worrying about something someone who is a scam artist says. Besides, I did promise to give you my protection. You're safe." Klaus whispered and rest his forehead on hers. "Just take deep breaths..."
Caroline took a few deep breaths and felt his hands starting to caress her waist, pulling her closer to him, as she grabbed him by the neck, feeling them breathing in sync.
"It's not working and I think I'm about to turn." Caroline whispered, looking at Klaus with her eyes now glowing yellow.
"You need to focus on something else, love."
"I can't." Caroline whispered and Klaus kissed her.
At first the kiss was just a peck but then he deepened the kiss and they couldn't deny that they enjoyed kissing each other. Once they broke the kiss, Klaus noticed Caroline's eyes were back to normal.
"They are back to blue."
"What?"
"Yes... When I kissed you, you no longer were thinking about how worried you were." Klaus smirked.
"Great. But what if this happens again? I can't kiss you every time I get worried..."
"You need to find someone or something that can help you to stop focusing on stress. Do you have something that you do when you're nervous or anxious?"
"Yes. Cleaning, organizing and planning. That's why I can be a obsessive control freak." Caroline sighed.
"Then you'll clean or make plans... it will work. Trust me."
"What do you do to control your emotions?"
"I paint."
"Wait. You paint? What do you paint?"
"Animals. Rivers. Woods. Trees. Cities..."
"That's amazing! I can't draw. I can make nice banners but drawings and paintings like that, forget it." Caroline smiled.
"Maybe one of these days I'll teach you." Klaus whispered, making Caroline smile to him.

Kol took Bonnie back to the mansion after spending the day with her in the safe house, letting her practice spells and learning a few spells from Esther's grimoire.
Bonnie went to her bedroom and Kol followed her, putting Esther's grimoire in a desk.
"Thank you for helping me today. I guess you aren't as annoying as I thought you were." Bonnie said, making Kol smirk.
"I'll take that as a compliment, darling." Kol smirked.
"Are you sure no one can feel me making a spell when I'm there."
"I'm sure. We got that house in case it was needed us to have someone making magic without making others feel it and also for when we had to flee and didn't want to be find out." Kol said.
"Thank you for letting me use it. And thank you for buying me all those things for my spells. I didn't even ask. How much was it?"
"What are you talking about?" Kol asked.
"You know..." Bonnie said. "You bought all those things for me. How much was it? So I can pay you."
"Forget about that, darling. I don't have money issues."
"I don't like owing people money, Kol."
"Then consider as my gift as a thank you for letting me help you with your magic, for being on my family's side and for dealing with Nik. I know how he can be." Kol said and Bonnie smiled.
