Niklaus Mikaelson could look like an handsome, well-built man, with blue eyes, dirty-blonde curly hair and a sexy British accent, but he was way more than that. Niklaus Mikaelson was a hybrid (half werewolf and half vampire), and not just any hybrid, he was the very first, he is the Original Hybrid, also known as the Big Bad Wolf who terrorized many people's lives for fun or to get what he wanted.
For a thousand years, he had one dream, breaking the curse his mother put on him, so he could have access to his werewolf side, and make more hybrids. Now, he had break the curse and create a few hybrids, he was even able to kill Mikael, the man he thought was his father and made him live in fear.
Everything seemed to go perfect for Klaus, but things changed when he realized that his hybrids found a way to break his sire bond, which made him furious because without the sire bond he couldn't trust them and feared it was more people plotting against him.
He was now in his office with the one person who made his hybrids break the sire bond and he intended to make this person pay for what did.
"I shouldn't have to tell you that people who cross me get hurt. I'm not a forgiving person. I'm not merciful. I have no tolerance to people who betray me." Klaus said. "Yet, you decided to make all my hybrids break the sire bond. I don't know if you did this because you're too brave or just too foolish. Probably both. Now you leave me no choice but to kill you. Of course before that I will kill everyone you ever cared about."
"No! We can make a pact."
"A pact?" Klaus said in disbelief.
"Yes. You won't hurt me, my friends, my family nor the other hybrids..."
"And what would I win with that?"
"I and the other hybrids will remain loyal to you."
"And how can you be so sure no one will betray me or plot against me?"
"We know if we did, you'd kill us and the ones we care about."
"That is very true." Klaus said. "You can go inform the hybrids about the pact you just made." Klaus said and quickly added. "Oh, and there's something else. I want you to drain Elena Gilbert so I can have her blood to make more hybrids and leave this bloody awful town."
"What? But... Elena is my friend."
"She will die anyway, love. If you don't kill her I will, along with all your loved ones." Klaus said, making her gulp and nodded, then left his mansion.
Klaus tried to hide it but there was something about his blonde hybrid that made him curious to find more about her. She was loyal and was the only one who was brave enough to say something when wouldn't agree with him. He saw this fire in her that had so much potential... But he wasn't going to let that interest he had about her stopping him from being feared.

Caroline went to the woods, to talk with all the hybrids about the pact she made with Klaus and they weren't very happy about it.
"Why did we went through that awful torture of breaking our bones time and time again just to keep being Klaus's little slaves?" One hybrid said.
"We broke the sire bond to be free." Another one said.
"Look, Klaus was very clear. If we don't remain loyal to him, he will kill everyone we love and then he. We all know that he isn't joking about it. Or do I have to remind you what he did when Katherine run away from the sacrifice?" Caroline said. "I know this is not what we had in mind but at least we have a choice. We can remain loyal to him but also have our free will. Now, if he asks us to hurt ourselves, we won't do it because we no longer are sired to him. And by being on his side, maybe we can be more safe. He does love to have his army, right?"
People started to agree with the pact, which made Caroline relief, then she went to see Elena and try to find a way to remain loyal to Klaus without hurting Elena.

"Hey, Care! Congrats on freeing Klaus's sire bond." Elena smiled.
"Thank you. And how have you been? With Stefan breaking up with you and everything?"
"We decided to remain friends. And our relationship was starting to change, anyway. He was getting more distant..."
"I'm sorry." Caroline whispered and hugged Elena. "I also am here because Klaus asked me to do something I don't want to do."
"What is it?"
"He wants me to drain you, so he can have your blood to make more hybrids." Caroline said, making Elena take a few steps back in fear.
"I won't do it. I had an idea that can help you stay alive and human, but also make Klaus kinda happy."
"Which is...?"
"What do you say about donating your blood every once in awhile to Klaus? That way, you stay human and alive and Klaus has enough blood to make hybrids."
"Do you think he will be acceptable to that idea?" Elena asked.
"I need to try." Caroline said.
"Okay, I'll give you a bit of my blood so you can give him as a way to show him that I'm okay with it." Elena said and Caroline hugged her.
"Thank you so much! You're the best!"

Caroline was once again in Klaus's office and gave him the little blood Elena gave her.
"What's this, Caroline?" Klaus said with no patience.
"I know you want me to kill Elena but she's my best friend so I thought about a way I wouldn't kill her and you would still get her blood."
"Really?"
"Yes. I thought that if she agrees in giving you a certain amount of her blood every once in awhile, she doesn't need to die and you will still be able to make more hybrids. I already talk to her and she's okay with it." Caroline said and Klaus admitted to himself that Caroline's idea was better than his because that way he could have more of Elena's blood and before she would die, he could drain the rest of her blood.
"Alright." Klaus said. "My siblings and I are now getting ready to move to New Orleans. You and the rest of the hybrids have to come with us. Since you are so loyal to me, thanks to our little pact. And Elena will also come with us. That way I can make sure she won't try to do any tricks like Katerina did."
"Elena always keeps her word. But I'll tell them."
"Great. Oh... before I forget. You and Elena will stay at my house. The rest of the hybrids will stay in different apartments. I'll text them their respective addresses."
"Why do I and Elena have to live with you and your crazy family?" Caroline asked.
"Because I need to make sure Elena won't try to run away or plot something against me and because I will want you around to do a few things for me. Besides, you seem to be the one who my hybrids trust so I want to make sure you won't change your mind about plotting against me."
"What things are you talking about?"
"Nothing to worry about for the moment being. Now, you should go and tell the hybrids and your little friend to pack their backs." Klaus said.
Caroline left furious, hating Klaus using their pact to make her, the hybrids and Elena to live their hometown and the people they care about. Caroline didn't even know how to tell her mom that she would move away.
