Shelby's POV

Didn't I tell them not to cry?! Cause now I want to cry but I can't because then they'll see me!! I heard Steve and Greg and Doctor Bentley. Why would they put me on life support? I'm just fine. It does get hard to breath and I can't move but I'm awake....kinda. I'm so tired but I'm scared if I fall asleep I won't wake up. It's getting hard to stay awake though. I feel like pieces of me are leaving me. Like they're going somewhere else ya know. I can get through this though. I just have to be strong. I have to fight. Then when I wake up I'll tell everybody I told ya so and walk right up to Doc and prove him wrong. I'll stay home for awhile then go to college....if they'll still let me in that is. I'm sure they will. They would for sure if I was a soc but I'm not. I'm the exact opposite. Suddenly everything went black and I saw the light. Well shit here it comes. I'm gonna die and not be able to prove anybody wrong.

"Shelby." I heard someone say. I knew the voice instantly.

"Mammaw!!" I turned around and jumped in her arms.

"I missed you to." She chuckled.

"Am I dead? I don't wanna die." I asked.

"No I just added that in the dream to scare you." She laughed. Not funny. At all.

"It wasn't funny." I pouted.

"It was but let's get serious. The reason I gave you this dream is to tell you you're gonna die."

"Why didn't you just tell me that when I'm dead?"

"Because you can still live, you just have to be strong. Just fight. You're a fighter. It's in your blood Benwilpott. Prove everybody wrong, I know you want to."

"You're right. I do want to and I am a fighter. I have to live for the gang. I wanna live a long happy life. And I'm going to."

"That's my girl. I love you."

"I love you to." I hugged her again.

"I gotta go but I'm gonna give you a vision."

"Ok but do you have to go?"

"I'm afraid I do baby girl."

"I don't want you to though." I whined.

"I don't want to either but I have to. Take care of them for me and yourself. I know they can't take care of themselves. Honestly they'd lose there heads if it wasn't attached, including Greg." I laughed at her.

"I will. Just please help me through it."

"I will. I hear you when you talk to me. Me and the Curtis's parents are looking after you guys. I'm in your heart so listen to your heart because I'm always right. Bye baby girl I love you. I'll see one day."

"Bye Mammaw. I love and miss you to!!" I hugged her one last time then she faded away. Like she wasn't ever there.

Everything went black. I was in a movie theater all by myself. The screen came on. The title came on and it said 'What could happen'. Then another screen came on and it said 'If you die'. It started playing. The first thing I saw was the gang crying with my family. My brothers don't know what to do. Aspyn is scared she'll never see me again. Me grandpa is wondering how he'll go along without me. Trecia and Shandon wondering if they'll ever get through this. Steve is shaking from crying so hard, his eyes are blood shot, and his lips are quivering. Greg just stands there. He's trying to stay strong. But he can't take it. He just can't. His baby sister is dead. She's never coming back. He falls over. He's happy because maybe he'll see her now. Blake is screaming..Greg and Shelby are both gone. How will he go on?! He can't. He decides then and there he just can't. It's not possible. He walks over to Greg and everyone is crowding around shaking him to wake up..but it's no use..he's dead. He's not coming back. Blake bends down next to him, smiling. Greg's eyes are blank but he's smiling, a real smile. Blake knows he's happy now. Blake smiles at him and whispers to him "I'll see you soon brother." Blake walks out and nobody notices. He walks to the barn and grabs the extra gun. The gun is already loaded. He walks to the holler where nobody will hear. He looks at the gun and smiles.

"I can't do this without you two and you knew it....but you still left me. Well that ain't fair. I wanna come to." He puts the gun under his chin and looks up at the clouds. The sun is setting. He waits till sunset because Shelby always talked about the sunset. He never took the time to watch one but he's going to now. Just for her. When the sun sets he doesn't even think twice. He smiles and looks up at the sky and he swears he sees Shelby and Greg running on the clouds. They're laughing and smiling and he wants to be with them. His hands don't even shake. He pulls the trigger. He's gone. He's with Shelby and Greg. There's no going back. He's dead. What will his mom and dad do? Both there sons, there only sons, dead.

They found Blake's body later that night. They cried even more but were happy for him at the same time. He was with the two people he cared about the most. He was smiling and laughing. No longer crying. Do they want that to? There's no time to think though. They have three funerals to plan. They decide to combine them because they know that's what you guys want. You guys want to be together till the end. Two brothers and one cousin. A cousin who was basically there sister. One cousin who held them together but she didn't know it. She thought they held her together. And they did. They held each other together. If one goes they all go. That's just how it was.

It's the day of the funeral. Everyone is crying. No one wants to get out of bed but they have to. They have to tell you goodbye. But they know it's not goodbye, it's see ya later. But they know what happened they last time they said see ya later. This time it's different thought. There not just going a few hours away. There going to a whole other world. They barely hear the actual funeral over all the crying. Steve hasn't shed a tear. He had to stay strong for you. But when it was time to say goodbye he broke. He saw Blake first. He cried and told him he was sorry and goodbye and thanks for being a friend and he'll miss him. Next was Greg. He cried as he said he was sorry and goodbye and he's sorry he didn't keep his promise, he promised he'd protect Shelby forever and he failed and he knows this is all his fault. Next is Shelby's casket. He tries to stay strong but he can't. He falls to his knees. His head is on the edge of her casket. He cries as he tells her he loves her with all his heart and always will. He tells her he'd do anything to have back with him. He tells her how he wishes he could've said I do. He tells her if she comes back he will. He tells her he's trying to stay strong and can't he's sorry. He tells her it's all his fault he's to blame. He tells her it should've been him. He tells her over and over he loves her and no other. Darry has to come pull him away. But Steve leans over and whispers in her ear "I'll see you soon baby don't worry." He kisses her forehead and Darry has to drag him away. If Darry lets go he'd fall. But Darry can barely stand himself. They drive to the grave yard. Not saying a word. The truck is full of sobs. What about Shelby's original gang? They've been friends forever. They're the only family they have. Now they've been ripped away all because some girl was jealous!! They'll never get them back. It's all over. No more memories can be made with them. What about Sydni? Shelby was suppose to help with the baby. They were suppose to go buy baby stuff. Now they can't. They can't do anything together. No more girl talks or girls night outs. What about Hunter and Thomas? They're the last boys left. Two brothers are dead and one betrayed them. He's the reason there dead. Oh he doesn't know what's coming. But what about Nate? He never planned for them to die. He stood in the back of the funeral on his hands and knees begging for forgiveness. He'll never forgive hisself. He knows he deserves to live with the pain. He just loved her so much he couldn't stand the thought of her being with another. But it's to late now. It's to late for all of them. There's just no more time.

They lower there caskets down. Everyone is crying and they can't stop. There screaming "Why them?! Why not me?!" People try to comfort them but they can't be comforted. Nobody can take away the pain. It's all over now. There dead. The caskets are all the way down and they can't take it. It's to much. They can't watch them cover them up. Everybody leaves....except one. Steve. He told her he'd stay with her forever. He watches them cover her up. He's crying but it's finally silent. His face is red. He's a mess. He doesn't even have grease in his hair. He can barely see his eyes are so blurry and swollen. He starts to walk away but falls in front of her plot.

"BABY PLEASE COME BACK TO ME!! THIS CANT BE REAL!!!! ITS JUST A DREAM!!!! I CANT DO THIS!!!! ITS ALL MY FAULT!!!!! GREG WAS RIGHT!!!! I SHOULDNT OF FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!!! YOUD STILL BE HERE AND SO WOULD THEY!!!!! PLEASE BABY PLEASE!!!!! I LOVE YOU SHELBY!!!!!" He can't talk anymore. He's crying to hard. His face is in his hands and he's on his knees. Someone grabs him and pulls him away. He looks up and sees Nate. He goes crazy. It's all his fault!! He did it. He knew this would happen. He's not thinking straight. He pulls out his blade and...Nate's dead.

Steve never got caught. He stays at Bucks to wash your memory away. Even though he stays drunk all the time he's never been with another woman. He put all your pictures away. One night he accidentally found one, it's a picture of you two, you're on his back and your both smiling. He sat on his bed staring at it with tears in his eyes. He just wants to be happy again. 'Its Now or Never' by Elvis comes on the radio and he thinks it's a sign from you. He reaches under his pillow and pulled out a gun. Without a second thought he puts it to his head and pulls the trigger. His face falls in the pillow with your picture to his chest. He's holding it with all his might and no one could rip it out even if they tried. He's dead.

Sydni starves herself. She lost the baby. Thomas is trying to keep her strong but it just isn't working. He scared of what she'll do. One night she goes to take a bath. He hears the water running and it's been running for awhile. He tries to open the door but it's locked. He busts the door open and gets a sick feeling in his stomach. He sees Sydni in the bathtub but the waters red. He sees the blade that is lying on the floor. She slit her wrists. He rushes her to the hospital but the doctors say it's too late. He breaks down crying and begs to die. He just can't go on anymore. He goes home and sits in the bathroom and looks at the blood stains. He picks up the blade and does the same thing. His wish was granted. They're both dead.

Hunter tries to stay strong like he knows Shelby, Greg, and Blake would want. But it gets harder and harder everyday. Everywhere he goes there's a memory. He cries hisself to sleep every night. He just can't take the pain no more. He smiles as he thinks of them. He finds a rope and ties it the fan. He gets a chair and stands on it. He slides the rope around his neck and jumps. He's dead.

Ashely and Ponyboy are keeping each other strong. One day while they're at school, a new girl came and her name was Shelby. Ashley stormed out and Pony followed her. They ran home. They sat on the couch thinking what to do. They held each other tight. Ashley looked in his eyes and he knew what it meant. They've talked about it before. Everything is falling apart. They find two ropes and tie them to the fan. They grab a chair and stand on it together. They put the rope around each others neck and tell each other they'll see each other soon. They hold hands and jump. They're both dead.

Soda comes home from work and sees his baby brother swinging from the fan. He breaks down and screams. He runs to his room. He grabs his gun and runs back down stairs. He hugs his brother one last time. He writes Darry and Leah a note to tell them he's sorry and goodbye. He pulls the trigger. He's dead.

Leah,Lauren, and Timber walked in. They stopped instantly. They were speechless. They looked at each other and knew what to do. They wrote a letter to boyfriends, except Leah because hers is dead at her feet. They told them they're sorry but they loved them. They find two guns and Leah takes Soda's. She found the note and read it. Then they hold the guns to there chest and pull the trigger. They're dead.

Two-Bit decides to come visit. When he walks in he keeps walking. He walks straight to Timber.

"I'm with ya babe. All this because of Minnie. She was a hell of a girl." He grabs her gun. He finds her note on the counter. After reading it he decides to have one more beer and a slice of cake. He turns on Mickey. He holds Timber's cold hand. When Mickey is over he lays down beside her. He kisses her hand and pulls the trigger, never letting go of her hand. He's dead.

Darry comes home for work. As soon as he opens the door he knows why they did it. He found Lauren's and Soda's note and his heart broke. His two brothers, his girl, her friends, and his are all dead. He takes Lauren's gun. Hugs his brothers one more time and lays by Lauren. Then he pulls the trigger. He's dead.

Johnny and Chandra come back from school. Chandra screams at the sight. Johnny holds her tight and says "I've been wishing to die for along time and they are ones that stopped me. But now...they're gone." Chandra nods her head knowing what he means. They pull out there blades...and slit both there wrists. They're dead.

Skylar can't find Dally anywhere. He went to blow off steam. She gets worried. She goes to the Curtis's hoping he's there. But she doesn't find him...she finds everyone else lying there. She doesn't say a word. She can't take no more.

"I guess Dally, Steve, Hunter, Sydni, and Thomas are the stronger ones." She smiles. She pulls out a gun and does the same. She's dead.

What she doesn't know is Steve, Hunter, Sydni, and Thomas are dead. Dally killed a cop and was in jail. That's why she couldn't find him. He got the electric chair. They killed him this morning.

They all died the same day. Just a week after Shelby, Greg, and Blake's funeral.

They're all dead......

OMG guys I'm sorry it's so sad!! I cried my eyes out. Idk why but I was thinking of the song 'Baby Dont Cut' while I was writing this.

QUESTION: what's the gender of Sydni and Thomas's baby??
