I woke up in a bright room but my vision was still blurry and it was freezing cold in there and it smells weird like.... man I'm in a hospital. I could just see the blurry lights and something fuzzy walking towards me
"Hey Vannah how you doing?" I could tell it was Darry's voice strong and deep.
"Ok Superman, but wait  wheres Chris he was calling for a help I don't know if eyeball was taking him or his dad something wasn't right Darry he started calling for help and he doesn't do that to freak anybody out!" I said worried.
"What? I I don't know but will try to look for him later he'll be fine" Darry said softly.
"No he won't Dairy you don't understand it's bad at home he can't go back they're going to beat him or they might even send him back to military school Darry you have to send somebody to go find him and not just the cops send Steve or Two Bit at least we wouldn't care if Steve came back alive!" I said starting to breath to fast.
"Wow ok take it easy I'll have one of the guys go look for him but you need to calm down are you even still able to see?" He asked with worry in his tone.
"That doesn't matter right now-"
"Yes it does now tell me yes or no can you still see" he said more aggressive.

"Not really everything is just blurry I can barely see if you're holding up fingers but that's because it's just fuzzy anything else if it's a large object like you walking in the room yeah I can see but it still is fuzzy but I'll be fine I'll figure it out" I said nervously.
"Alright I'll be back" he said walking out of the room. 
Just then I saw 2 guys walk in and they were shorter then the rest of the guys and I could barely tell it was Gordie and Teddy.
"Hey Savannah" Teddy said weekly.
"Hey guys sorry about the tree house did you get the stuff tho"
"Ya we got it after we tried getting Chris" Gordie said blankly
"Wait you guys know what happened tell me!" I said worried.
"We started running over once we could smell the fire and by the time we got there they were already putting you in the ambulance truck but the other way we looked we could hear Chris yelling for help you didn't know what was going on we ran towards where we could hear him and I saw one ofit's cobras grabbing him and all of them running we try to keep up but we couldn't but even if we did we couldn't have done anything they probably would have killed Chris and us but we don't even know if they killed Chris anyways"
"Well Eyeball wouldn't let any of the Cobras kill him right? I mean he would get in way too much trouble for that ....right?" Is kind of knowing the answer and hoping they would say something else.
"Well I don't know I mean eyeball has let Ace almost burn Chris with a cigarette too and almost cut him so." Gordie finally spoke up.
Just then Darry walked into the room.
"So I sent dally and Steve to go look at his dad's house and find Chris I sent sodapopp and Two bit to drive around to see if the cobras or somebody has him or seen him"
"Wait Darry the Cobras have him they took him" Gordie told him.
"You guys sure?"
"No beast! We are completely lieing to get our friend killed! What do you think Giant?!" Teddy yelled sarcastically.
"You and Steve could be related." Darry mumbled walking out of the room. It's true though. Teddy is a mix of Steve and Two bit. Chris is more of Two bit Sodapop with a little Dally and once in a while Johnny. Gordie is all Ponyboy with a little bit of Dall when he's angry. I have Darry's kinda athletic part with Two Sodapop and sometimes Pony and a lot of Dally because when I'm REALLY angry I will shoot you. I was snapped out of my bed thoughts when the doctor came in.
"Hi Savannah I'm Dr. Joe" he said standing there.
"Oh right your blind so you can't shake my hand" he mumbled. Idiot.
"Anyways so there were more chemicals then we expected to be in the fire and that really damaged the cornea of your eye but you also had a few like 1 or 2 ashes go into your eye. It's not extremely damaged but things are gonna be fuzzy for the next few days but it will go back to normal. Do you where glasses?"
"Uh yes but I don't wear them"
"Well you do need to start your left eye is going lazy as we call it and you may go blind in it but if you where them it should help but I can't guarantee that It will give you back 20 20 Vision other than that you don't have any burn marks on you. You did inhale a lot of smoke and we just kept you on one of our oxygen machines otherwise you can go home soon" he explained. Great I get to look like a geek again. I'm not saying everyone looks like a geek when they wear glasses it's just me I like my hair up all the time and reading books and from how I personally look I do look like that. I guess I could just wear them around the house or at night.
"Alright thank you can you let my brothers know" I asked.
"Of course" he walked out"
"Well the sooner you get out the sooner we can find Chris" Teddy said excited.
"Teddy I don't think this processed in your mind but you realize she is half blind right now right? she can't go anywhere." Gordie explained.
"Gordie it's fine I can take care of my self" I explained politely. I turned over to get off my bed. I slowly started walking and stubbed my toe really bad on the bed I think. "Ow!" I yelled.
"Hang on hang on hang on" Gordie said grabbing my wrist.
"Ok we need to figure something out" Gordie said sitting me down.
"No shit! Now let's teach her like how my dad teach me to swim" Teddy said sitting on the arm rest of my chair.
"How was that" Gordie asked concerned.
"He threw me in" Teddy i could tell grined.
"Here stand up and just walk around" Teddy stood me up.
"Teddy your gonna kill her damn it" Gordie scolded.
"She'll be fine" he said as I was walking. Just then I ran into something.
"Door?" Teddy yelled.
"Ow! Wow thanks for the heads up guys"

I kept walking around the room with the boys once in awhile guiding me. With there words. So of course being the stupid 14 year olds we all listening to each other I'm pretty sure I have over 4 bruises. I was walking as the door opened. "Door!"  they both yelled as I then got hit right in the head I kind of fell back but just rubbed my head.
"Oh man sorry Savannah I didn't see you there you okay?" I could tell it was the gentle Johnny Cade. I nodded as he helped me up. "what are you even doing up your supposed to be in bed" he said walking me torwards it.
"I know but I just don't want to be laying around and I'm trying to figure out how to see better and how the guys have been trying to guide me with their words I guess which was already a terrible idea." I shrugged.
"Trust me Ponyboy and I have done stupider things like what he did with curly in the bath room with the burning cigarettes on there fingers. I'm telling you he's smart but some how he manages to be the stupist person alive"
"Tell me about it" I smiled.
"Hey aren't you guys supposed to be at school?" I asked.
"I have to go every day a break isn't gonna kill me" Johnny reassured me sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Ya and my dad won't notice" Gordie said kind of sad especially since after Denny his older brother died his parents never really pay attention to him. They never did. Denny always cared about Gordie. More then his dad did. His dad always talked about Denny playing football. Never talked about how smart Gordie was. Denny was the only one who cared about him at home.
"Ya and my dad.. well... He's my dad" Teddy simply said.
"Is Ponyboy at school?" I asked.
"No me and him agreed to watch you today while Darry has to go to work" Johnny told me. Just then super man walked in.
"Alright your ready to come home!" Darry told me. Johnny just guided me with his hands on my shoulders. Darry drove home and dropped us off. I tripped over the steps but Johnny caught me. It felt good to be home and not smell like hospital.
"Hey Munch" Pony greeted.
"Hey Ponyboy. I'm hungry we have food?" I asked sitting on my couch.
"Kinda we got apples strawberries eggs hot dogs" he read off from the kitchen.
"Can I have apples and... Oh what if you mix the hot dogs and eggs?!" I said with an idea. I can tell that Gordie and Teddy looked at each other confused.
"Did the hospital smell get to you? You hate eggs" Pony yelled pulling everything out tho.
"Ya when it's alone but what if you mix it? It might me good. Mom used to mix eggs and ham" I thought telling Ponyboy. They paused for a moment kinda feeling bad about grandma. I knew they all weren't over it. "Oh.. ya" he finally spoke out turning the stove on.
"Alright what do you guys wanna do?" Johnny said sitting on the couch.
"Well there's not much but do you guys still have the stuff I pulled out of the tree house?" I asked very hopeful.
"Ya there at my house I'll run and get them see you guys in about 15" Teddy said walking towards the door.
"No way! U can't go alone. The Cobras might be looking for you and your dad might see you" I said firmly.
"I have an idea" I smiled everyone just groaned.
"Not again oh god no shit " stuff like that is what they said.
"Fine don't take an amazing Curtis plan" I crossed my arms.
"Savannah stop always using Curtis it's just insulting us now. You know your brothers that are actually smart" Pony remarked bring my breakfast out.
"Well if there so smart then why haven't they sold you to the circus yet" I said drinking orange juice I think. He just walked away silent. I then heard the door close silently. The front door.
"Wait did Teddy just leave?" I asked in shock.
"Uh.......no" Johnny and Gordie lied at once.
"I may be blind but I could still here the door close and I could still here your lies" I said sitting back.
"Wheres Dally" Ponyboy then asked.
"Probably at Buck's drinking" Johnny shrugged.
I then stood up trying to imagine where everything was. I started walking then heard Ponyboy tell me to sit my ass down before I get both of us in trouble but I kept walking. I was doing well imaging where I was but then I ran into a chair.
"Ah fu....ge" I almost said something else but quickly remembered my place.
"Nice save" Pong said sarcastically still sitting on the chair.
"Hello mighty mouse people!" I heard Two bit great.
"Hey kid how you doin?"
"Peachy alright just peachy!" I  said fustrated.
"Well that's great" Two bit said cheerfully.
"Did you find Chris?" I asked.
"No but I found beer which is just as good and if it's not then your just not drinking enough" he gleemed. Great just great I got Mickey mouse side burns over hear being useful I thought sarcastically to myself. Now I'm finding Chris and I will frickin figure it out! About 10 minutes later Teddy walked in.
"Hey guys I got the box"
"Awesome" I said slowly walking over with I think Gordie helping me. We all sat down everything was still fuzzy so I can barely see but I remember a little of what I got. Teddy said after the tree house burned he did find something of mine that did mean a lot to me more than anything else almost. It was my little bear that my grandma got me when I was little. I named him Teddy short for teddy bear and yes this was before I met everyone. I looked at it glancing over everything. It was a little burnt but I didn't mind it, it also had one of my necklaces that my grandma also gave to me. I felt sad again thinking of all the good times we had and im not going to lie but it was hard to keep all the tears back but I kept it together I felt my soft teddy bear and held it against my chest just hugging it. We kept going threw everything, I saw all the fun pictures we had. (The ones I've been posting) We talked about all of our memories and even the ones where my mom and Grandma would take random pictures of us like when we went hiking or when she and my dad took us to the drive-in with all the guys just those fun days I guess that everyone was around. We talked about everything for about 2 hours but I think I started getting tired so I watched TV and just laid on the couch with two bit of course we had to watch Mickey Mouse until 6 rolled around and it finally was over. Before that Alison and Vern came over and we're doing well. I was real happy for them and I could tell just by hearing Alison voice that she was happy. I really was happy that her and Vern got along and hit it off. The cool thing is Allison's real sweet kind of sensitive but stands her ground and that's the kind of girl Vern needed someone sweet soft and is going to listen but who is going to help him defend himself since sometimes he could get himself into some real trouble even when he means no harm. I started watching one of my favorite shows I Love Lucy she always can make me laugh another show me and my mom could watch even my grandma would come and watch it with me she would always have the funnest laugh that can make anybody smile. I felt my eyes getting heavy and it didn't help that everything was blurry and for some reason made me feel more tired. I think a few moments later I felt myself being lifted and put into I believe my bed. I can hear them close my door and that's when I fell into a deep asleep.
