Personality: Bessie is an extremely outgoing and charming girl. She always has a smile on her face and knows just how to make people laugh and cheer them up. It's very hard to make her angry, as she's very empathetic and understanding of people's positions. Though she is an optimist, she's a very logical thinker as well. When something goes wrong or a crazy scheme is proposed she'll be the first one to think about the money it will cost and the police attention it will bring, though she can be a bit impulsive because she'll usually go out and do the bad idea anyways. At surface level she can seem just like all the other greaser girls, a flirt who wears too much makeup and smokes too many cigarettes and just likes to party all day. But anyone who knows Bessie knows there's much more to her then that.

Backstory: Bessie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her folks were also greasers and gave birth to Bessie when they were quite young. They never had much money, so to support themselves Bessie's father would bet on and raced in drag races. Ever since Bessie could walk her mother would take her to the races and watch her father zoom by in some souped up car surrounded by a cheering crowd, and every time he won he would put Bessie on his shoulders and she would wave to her mother on the sidelines.

Even after the twins, Clementine and Benny, were born when Bessie was ten her parents never gave up the wild greaser lifestyle. And eventually it caught up with them. When Bessie was fourteen her folks were arrested for illegal drag racing, and knowing what happened to kids who's folks were put in jail, Bessie and her siblings ran away to avoid being separated. They took a bus all the way to Tulsa, Oklahoma and that's where they've been ever since.

They lived off of what little money their parents had until Bessie turned sixteen and bought her own car. She fulfilled her dream of being a drag racer just like her dad, despite knowing where it got him. But that's just her night job of course. During the day she works as a mechanic at the DX, which is how she met Soda and Steve who eventually introduced her to the rest of the gang.
