His friends treat you like trash behind his back (Dallas)
DALLAS POV:
After Sylvia, I didn't think I would ever find love again. That was until I met Y/N. She and I had been best friends in New York. She walked the same streets I did there. She lived the stories like me. I swear we were like Bonnie and Clyde. We reunited when I went back to New york. I asked her to move here with me so she would have someone who truly cares for her. After her parents died of drug overdose, she hasn't really had anyone. Her friends kept leaving her and I couldn't bear to let that happen to her. So I took her under my wing.
"Dallas, I beat that Soc that tried to fight me everyday." She told me. I knew she could do it. She's a tough girl. All of the Socs are scared of her. Even some of the greasers. She's that tough. Nothing can make this girl cry or bruise her.
"Great job, Love. Don't let anyone drag you." I said taking a drag on my cigarette and handed it to her. "I'm thinkin ' about visting the Curtis gang. You wanna come with me?" I asked her. She nodded.
The Curtises had really never met Y/N. They had known about her as I talked to them about her. Johnny was the only person who knew of both of our pasts. He never judged her and she's the first person I've introduced her to in the Curtis gang.
"Hey, this is Y/N." I held her in my arms, and showed her off like a trophy. She was my trophy though.
"Hey," They greeted and went back their activities. I just wrote them off as being bored.
She shrugged and so did I. I thought they were being kinda rude though. Johnny actually waved and smiled. Oh well.
I went on the porch to smoke, since it was hot in the house. I was just reminiscing Y/N and I' time in New York. Sure we faced struggles, but we made it out unscathed.
I threw my cigarette out and stepped on it.
I walked back inside to this.
"Ooh, you lived in New York you're so tough." Ponyboy rolled his eyes.
"I did." She stated.
"We don't think you're all that tough. You just wanna look tough because you're too weak to show how weak you really are. You're just putting on a show." Soda snapped and Steve and Two-Bit agreed. Even Darry didn't like her. He thought all she did was cause trouble.
"Weak huh?" I startled all of them. I went over to them and wrapped my arm about her.
"You do realize who she is right? She's my life. She's the headlights in my pitch black night. She spent all those years in New York with me. She always stood up to me and wasn't afraid to kick someone's ass if she needed to. You may see her as someone who doesn't give a shit, but I do! I give a shit! And all of you are the weak ones. You spend your days making other's shit! I'll have you know that I love her no matter what you say!"
Everyone silenced up and I caught my breath.
The tables were slowly turning on them. They didn't expect me to come and call them weak.
"Let's get outta here, man." I tugged on Y/N's arm.
We went and sat on the top of her car.
"If only they knew the things we went through. Fighting. Losing people, friends, family. Something they couldn't bear. She explained, like we were living it again. I nodded.
"Yeah," I sighed. "But they'll never understand. They're too weak minded. They don't care about us, but we gotta care for each other."
The full moon was out and so were the stars. The lake had such a beautiful gumusservi, it was simply breathtaking. I slowy put down that lit cigarette and twisted her lips with mine.
It was midnight when we kissed on the roof of her car.
