He comes home from the war

PONYBOY:

Your heart broke hearing the news that your boyfriend was going to war. You waited everyday until he finally came home. Everything reminded you of him. From his room to his picture frame right next to your bed. You would run your thumb over his face every night, hoping he's still out there.

You woke up at a weird time. It was 2:30 in the morning. Something felt weird. You couldn't figure it out. You heard movement and then you looked over to the other side of your bed. The side that was once left cold like an empty jail cell. It was now warm with the replacement of the one you would die for.
"Ponyboy?" You tried to shake yourself and tell yourself this was a dream. It can't be real. But it is. His hair shorter than it was when he left and his body much more built. He looked like the young man that everyone knew he would become. He turned over and faced you. That's when you let the tears fall. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he wrapped his around yours. You could feel him crying too. "I thought you were never gonna come back!" You hugged him tighter. "Aww, baby that would never happen. I love you and that's why I fought so long. For you." You just couldn't let him go and stayed with him all night afraid of letting him go again.

SODAPOP:

"She's gonna be so happy when she sees him." Darry smiled to Ponyboy. Your boyfriend of 3 years had been drafted and you were just moping. The rain and the dark ambience of the world behind your windows matched your mood like keys in a lock. You didn't really smile anymore. That once happy teen you were was now a melancholic seraphim. Sure you did hang out with the gang, but your mind would always drift back to that boy you're waiting for.

You made to the Curtis house one day and just got done doing your makeup. You kept his room closed because you couldn't bear to look
in it. "Y/N!" Ponyboy shouted to you. "What?" You called less energetic. "Can you go in my room and grab my Gone With The Wind book?" You groaned but made your way in. You looked  on the bed and saw a rose, a note and a ring. Puzzled, you got closer. The note said,

"Hey, baby girl. I've missed you. You probably been so lonely and I can't bear to think of you like that. I'm sorry I had to leave you so long. Every night I dreamed of your face. The way you smile when you see me. Some days I felt like giving up but then you appear in the back of my mind, reminding me I need to stick around. Since I know that you're the only girl I'll ever want and the only girl worth fighting for, I want to know if you'll put this ring on and run away with me. I'm not ever gonna leave you again. You're stuck with me."

You turned around when you head footsteps and saw Sodapop holding a bouquet of red roses. He had a smile plastered on his face and a scar. He still looked perfect to you. You ran over faster than the speed of light and gave hi the most passionate kiss you could give. "Hey, Y/N." He smiled down at you. "So, will you marry me?" You nodded frantically. The whole gang set this up. They watched in awe from the living room. "Yes." He slipped the ring on and you felt like you were dreaming. You swear you were dreaming.

DALLAS:

You had a good feeling of Dallas being able to handle himself. He was tough and you knew he would come out alive. You stayed with Buck the whole time he was gone. Your parents were dead, so you didn't have anywhere else to go.
He took real good care of you though.

The night your world fell back into place was at a party at Buck's. You came down to get a drink because you needed to escape. Everyone was pretty much raving and you were in too dull of a mood to do anything. Until the door opened. Everyone turned to look and that's when everything stopped. Your senses, your sense of gravity, even the colors blend back together."  A tough looking hood that was once on the streets in the New York to a hood in Tulsa. Except, he wasn't a hood. No, he was a soldier.
He held his arms out for you to take and you didn't hesitate. Everyone clapped as you two reunited. He rubbed your back and told you calm down and that he was here in a gentle voice. "I love ya Doll, you wanna go in my room and catch up?" Not like sex but for once a heart to heart.
