Dallas takes care of his sick baby girl
Thanks again, @TicciTobylover66 for the idea!
DALLAS POV:
I woke up feeling tugging on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw my 5 year old daughter, Delilah looking at me with sad eyes.
"What's wrong, honey?" I sat up concerned. "I don't feel good." She let tears fall from her eyes and my heart broke. "Aww, let's take your temperature."
I got up and carried her to the kitchen where the thermometer was. I grabbed and told her to put it under her tongue. It beeped and read, 101:5. She had a fever.
"Ok, sweetie let's just-" Before I could finish she threw up straight on my chest. Good thing I had a shirt on. She then burst into tears saying how sorry she was. I wasn't mad though. "Hey, Delilah it's ok. It' ok. You can't help it. I'm just gonna go get changed and then give you some medicine and put you to bed, ok" I told her sweetly.
I grabbed ac clean shirt and put the dirty one in the washing machine. I got some medicine to help with Delilah's fever and brought upstairs t her room. She fell asleep almost immediately. I quietly went back down stairs and made her some toast when she was ready to eat.
About an hour later, I heard her crying. I ran upstairs to see what was wrong.
I walked in to see my baby girl sitting up covered in vomit. "Oh, baby," I sighed picking her up. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up."
I took into the bathroom and washed her off and took her temperature again. It read 100.1 since I had put her in a colder bath to bring down her fever. It worked.
I got her cleaned off and gave her the toast which thankfully, she kept down.
That night, I sat on the couch with her on my chest and a blanked covering her body. She looked up at me through tired eyes. "I wuv you, Daddy." She nuzzled into me." "I love you too, baby girl," I rubbed her back. "Never forget that." I said as she fell asleep in my arms.
