Chesca was the social butterfly. She was a very nice girl and very likable.

It was the middle of summer and Chesca was at a pool party. She was talking with a few friends and just having a great time. That's when Johnny got out of the water and noticed her. He and his friend Ponyboy had been getting ready to leave when they saw her. Johnny's draw practically dropped upon seeing her. How could a girl so pretty be on this earth?

Ponyboy saw Johnny looking.

"Go talk to her." Ponyboy said.
"I can't she's just so pretty. She'll never like me." Johnny said. "Johnny, c'mon please? You'll never know if you don't try." Ponyboy said. Johnny took a deep breath and walked over to her.

"Uh, hi," Johnny said very quietly. She turned around. She saw a shy looking boy staring back at her. He was so cute, yet the opposite of her. They say opposites attract though.

"Hey," She smiled. "What's your name?" She asked him. "I'm Johnny." He said. "I'm Chesca." She beamed. "That's a pretty name for a pretty girl." She blushed at that. This boy was cute. "So uh, you wanna go get a popsicle?" Johnny asked her. He wanted to get to know her. "I'd love to, Johnny."

They walked over to the cooler and Johnny looked over at Ponyboy. He gave him a thumbs up.

"So, you liking this pool party?" Johnny tried to start a conversation. Chesca nodded while taking a bite of her Popsicle. "Yeah, I do. Especially because you're here." She smiled at him. Johnny could feel his heartbeat pick up. How did he get so lucky?

"Hey, listen I know we just met and all, but would you maybe like to go out with me this Saturday?" He was expecting a rejection, but instead got a kiss on the cheek. "How could I say no to you, Johnny?" He was just so sweet.

Johnny and Chesca went to a movie and then went to get milkshakes. They were currently at a secret pond watching the stars. The stars weren't in the sky to Johnny. They were in Chesca's eyes. He couldn't believe a girl like her would like a guy like him.

She noticed the sad look on his face. "Johnny what's wrong?" She turned to him.
"Oh, nothing. It's just that why would you like me? I'm so shy and you're beautiful and outgoing and I'm just me." She looked at him.

"Johnny, I don't care about all that. You're so sweet and not like any boy I'd ever met. You're so kind and I love that about you. I like you for you." She smiled.

Before they knew it, they looked at each other and slowly leaned in. They kissed under the moonlight in a field of grass with the water still and peaceful.

"So uh, do you wanna be my girlfriend?" Johnny asked. She nodded.

"I would be honored to be yours." She said as she kissed his cheek. And he totally forgot his problems. He didn't remember is old home for a second because

This was home.
