Summary- How Darry asks Kat out.
This takes place when Darry was in highschool.

Friday night. You were at the football game Friday night dressed in your new cheerleading uniform. All of the girls on your cheer squad we're socs, you being the only greaser girl. But that didn't really matter to you because you got to cheer for your long time crush Darry as he lead the football team to victory.

You've liked Darry Curtis since freshman year and the two of you had become really good friends. Watching the game and doing an occasional cheer Darry scored yet another point, and the crowd went wild with excitement. As the second quarter came to an end and halftime approached the team all huddled together all whispering about something.

"Alright" Darry whispered "you guys know the plan, John you go get the football." 

The girls on your cheer team started to whisper to one another as well. What the hell was going on? You saw John grab a football from the bench and hand it to Darry, and all of your cheer squad grabbed a card and ran over to join Darry.

You still had no clue as to what was going on, it was all so strange. The other cheerleaders on your squad held up their cards spelling out your name. That was Darry's cue to start walking over to you. As he approached you he still had the football in hand.

When he got up to you he handed you the football, with a nervous grin on his face. You noticed there was writing on it and you turned it so you could read it. "Kat, you intercepted my heart let's tackle the world together. Be my girlfriend? -Darry."

You almost squealed with excitement, and you gave him a hug saying "About damn time!" He chuckled asking "so that's a yes?" You giggled, saying "duh" and leaned in to give him a kiss. He embraced you again spinning you around as the crowd cheered along with the football team and the cheerleading squad.
