Abby's P.O.V.

I woke up but didn't open my eyes. I was in so much pain, it wasn't even funny. I decided to just open my eyes. They fluttered open and I saw a group of guys standing around me. I counted them and there was 6 of them. I recognized 2 of them and that was Steve and Darry. The other 4 I didn't. I was guessing this was the gang but one of them was missing.

"Can I please have some space?" I asked. They just looked at me confused.

"You heard her. Back away," Steve said.

I tried to sit and failed at it. Then, I just put my arms on two solid places and moved myself into a sitting position slowly. I flinched at how much pain I was in. I looked at everyone and they could see how much pain I was in because they looked at me like they felt bad for me.

"Well if no one else is going to talk. I will. I am Abigail Jennings but call me Abby," I said.

"I'm Ponyboy. This is Dally, Johnny, Two-bit, and you already know Darry and Steve," Pony said.

"It's so nice to meet you all. But Steve I thought you said there were 7 of you," I said.

"There is but my brother Soda is in our room because his girlfriend broke up with him and he is really down about it," Ponyboy said.

"Oh if you want I could talk to him. I want to be a therapist and I'm really good at talking to people," I offered.

"I think it would be good for him to talk to someone. So if you want to, go right ahead," Darry said.

I started to get up but it was going to take sometime to get up. I fell back down a couple of times and then I just tried again and finally got up. Darry pointed to the room that he was in. I started walking and then got to the door. I knocked on the door a couple of times and waited.

"Come in," Soda said but it sounded like he had been crying for hours. I opened the door and looked at him. I realized it was him.

"Hi, I'm Abby. We met at DX yestarday when I came in," I said and he looked up when he realized it was a girl talking, "I thought I could talk to you because I'm going to be doing this for a living."

"Hi, I'm Sodapop. I'm assuming you already know what happened," Soda said.

"Yah I do," I said then we started talking about it.

*Steve's P.O.V*

"She's a real looker isn't she?" I asked and they all agreed with me. "I really like her and she is the first girl i have liked since Evie. So please don't try anything guys."

"She looks like she is 15 years old," Two-bit said.

"That's only 2 years younger than me."

"She could go out with Pony since she is that young," Darry said.

"I'm not interested in her. I met another girl while walking. She is 15 years old and her name is Nevaeh. She just moved here and gave me her number,"Pony said.

"I wanna meet her Pony maybe she is like me with her parents and all," Johnny said. His parents beat him.

"Okay, but I don't think her parents do that. Oh and she has a twin brother named Aiden and I was thinking they could come over for dinner tonight. So can they?" Pony asked.

"Sure but why do you want her brother to come?" Darry asked.

"I was thinking he could be apart of the gang!" Pony said excitedly.

"Pony, you can't just invite someone into the gang," Dally said.

"I think we need more younger people in our gang," I said. 

*ABBY'S P.O.V.*

After Soda and I stopped talking he hugged me and just started crying in my shoulder. We probably sat like that for probably 30 minutes. I felt so bad for him. He lifted his head and looked at me and just stared in my eyes. Then he started to lean in and i backed up not wanting to be a rebound.

"Soda, you're a sweet guy and I like you but you just got broken up with and I don't want to be a rebound. I'm sorry," I said

"It's okay and I like you too. After a while if we still like each other, can we go on a date?" Soda asked.

"Sure, I would like that but we have to wait at least a month."

"I can wait as long as you want me to and lets not tell anyone anything just so that if we decide not to go out. okay?"

"Definatly," I agreed.

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" he asked.

"Yah," I said, "And Soda let's hang out a lot before we go on a date."

He nodded. Then we decided to go out to the living room and the gang and I just talked about our lives and stuff like that. I never told them about Nevaeh or Aiden. I heard Darry say something about waiting til Pony gets home with his two friends and then we would eat. I was so glad to here that because I'm starving. Then, I heard the door open and I turned around to see Pony with Neveah and Aiden.

"What re you guys doing here?" I asked looking at my brother and sister.

"We were invited by Pony. What about you?" Neveah asked.

"I got jumped and then Steve saved me and brought me here and fixed me up and then I got invited to stay for dinner," I said.

"You got jumped?!?" Aiden asked me.

"Are we missing something?" Pony asked.

"Yah I got jumped. Pony these are myyounger brother and sister," I said. Then he looked at them and then me confused.

"Oh," Pony said.

"Wait how old are you Abby?" Two-bit asked.

"I'm 18, y?" I asked.

"I thought you were 15," He said. I blushed because it makes me feel good when I get told I look younger than I actually am.

"Dinner Time," Darry called out.
