Ponyboy Imagine

A/N: Requested by PonygirlCurtis722! Sorry it took so long, I hope it's ok.

Ponyboy's POV:

"Emily, wake up," I whisper to my girlfriend one morning. She opens her eyes to looks at me. "Huh?" She says. "Merry Christmas, Princess," I say, and lean over to kiss her. Immediately she's up, ready to open presents. "C'mon," I say to her, "Let's go wake up the kids." We had two kids, a 2 year old son named Johhny and a 5 year old daughter named Alice. (Idk, random names, obviously Johnny, and I was thinking Dallas and Alice sound alike, but you can change them to whatever you like😂)
When we get into their room, they're already up. "Good morning, Mommy. Morning, Daddy!" Alice calls. "Merry Christmas, kids," Emily says, cheerfully, from Johnny's crib. "Ready to go open presents?" I ask my daughter. She nods, a huge smile on her face. We get downstairs and the kids run to the tree, immediately unwrapping their gifts. I stand by the stairs with Emily, she's smiling brighter than I've ever seen her before, just watching our kids looking happier than ever under the beautifully lit tree. I put my arm around her and she rests her head on my shoulder, just as the kids run up to us. "Mommy, Daddy!" They both shout, showing us their Christmas gifts. "Do you guys like what you got?" I ask. They both nod and smile. Alice hugs Emily's leg, smiling from ear to ear. Emily and I haven't exchanged our gifts yet, we'll do that after the kids go to bed. The rest of the day goes by quickly, we spend it quietly and happily in each other's company, watching Rouldoph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and tons of others. Then, it was time for the kids to go to bed. "Goodnight, guys. Merry Christmas!" I say, kissing each of their foreheads before waking out of the room they share. "So, time for presents," I say, sitting on my bed, with Emily on the other side. God, even in her pajamas-which she didn't even change out of today-she's beautiful. Her golden blonde hair is brushed perfectly out of her face, bringing out her gorgeous, expression filled eyes. I kiss her, which is present enough for me, but after a while of that we're ready to really get our gifts. We hand each other's over at the same time, and tear them open at the same time. As soon as I open it, I gasp. "Emily! How did you do this? It's amazing!" I exclaim. It's my favorite book, Gone With The Wind, signed by the author, Margaret Mitchell. Suddenly, I feel like my gift isn't enough. She hasn't opened it yet. She's staring at me, smiling at my response to it. My gift was expensive, and I thought it would be perfect, but now that Emily got me the one thing I wanted most in the world, I'm nervous. What if she doesn't like it? What if she hates it? What if it's not good enough? Before I have time to worry she starts talking. "I just did. She was in town, doing a book signing, and I know how much you love her book, so I thought I would get you one," She says. I lean over to hug her, and kiss her cheek over and over. "Thank you SO much, Emily! I love you," I say. Now she's ready to open hers. It's a rectangular box, wrapped in red paper with snowflakes on it. She rips the paper, and opens the black box inside of it. Her immediate response was a gasp. As she takes the locket out, tears form in her eyes. It's a silver chain, with a gold, heart shaped locket, engraved with PMC+EAC=❤️ (Ponyboy Michael Curtis plus Emily Ann Curtis = love) and when you open it up, on one side is a picture of the two of us on our first date, and on the other is from last year, with Emily and I standing, our backs to the tree. With one arm around her, I have Johnny in my free arm, and Alice is in Emily's. They're both of her favorite pictures, as well as mine. It's hard to believe how far we've come since that first date. We've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Emily is my sun and moon, my pride and joy, my amazing, beautiful wife. Tears fall down Emily's face as she looks at her new necklace. I wipe them away, and fasten it around her neck. "Do you like it?" I ask her. She nods. "I love it more than anything, Ponyboy. Thank you so much!" She says. She's beaming. She looks so happy. "You're welcome, Em. I love you," I say, kissing her. "I love you, too," She says, laying her head on my chest, where she falls asleep with me stroking her hair.
