Ponyboy Imagine
A/N: Requested imagine for PonygirlCurtis722
This is my first imagine from one of the boys Point Of View, so it's a little all over the place, but I hope it's ok!
Ponyboy's POV:
I ran around my house like a madman trying to get ready for my first date with Emily. I was so excited, but at the same time so incredibly nervous. What if I messed up? What is I said something wrong? What if she didn't like me? God, there was so much to worry about! "Dar, do I look ok?" I ask my eldest brother, as soon as I finish greasing my hair back. He nods, obviously not wanting to deal with me. "Why are you worrying so much, Pony?" Sodapop asks me. I shrug. "I don't really know," I tell him, "But I do know that Emily is the most perfect girl I've ever laid eyes on. She's amazing and it took me a while to score this date. I really want to impress her, Soda. So please just help me. Do I look ok or don't I?" I ask. I'm not snapping at them, I'm just annoyed. Darry and Soda look at eachother and burst out laughing. "Remember your first date, Soda?" Darry ask, recalling the memory. Soda nods. "Yeah," he says dreamily. "It was with Sandy, I right around Pony's age." Darry gives us a rare grin. "You acted the exact same way Pony is now, little buddy. You were starstruck by that girl," he says. After a while, I zone out. I just want Emily to get here so we can go out. I planned to take her to the lot. We could have a nice little picnic while we watched the sunset. At five o'clock on the dot, Emily knocks on our door. "Hey!" I greet, happily running up to her. "Hi," she says shyly, and leans in to hug me. My cheeks turn red as I kiss her cheek. "You ready?" I ask, grabbing the basket that I packed. She nods and smiles at me, so I grab her hand and we walk out. "I'll be home by eight!" I yell to my brothers. "Make sure Emily doesn't get hurt!" Darry calls back. He means he doesn't want us to get jumped, but I can't make sure that happens. Sure, I'd do anything to make sure that she's safe, but that doesn't mean some Socs couldn't find us. "So, this is the lot," I say, motioning around me. She nods. "Wanna sit down?" I ask, spreading a blanket out for us. She does, and I go down next to her. "What did you pack?" She asks me. I can tell she's nervous, because she usually trys harder to make conversation. Well, it doesn't matter that much, maybe I could get her to ease up, I think as I tell her about the sandwiches, snacks and desserts in the basket. God, she looks beautiful. Her (your hair color) hair is perfectly straightened so I can see her perfect face and she's wearing a pretty dress that really brings out her beautiful eyes. "You... You look real pretty," I tell her and she blushes. I can't decide weather to watch her or the sunset, their both so pretty. "So um, do you ever watch sunsets by yourself?" I ask her. She nods. "I do, sometimes when I'm at home. They're really pretty. I can't believe you like them too! I never thought I could find a guy that I have this much in common with!" She says. I nod in agreement. Everything I like, she likes, which is probably why we get along so well. I'm really lucky to have her. When we're done eating, I scoot closer to her and put my arm around her. By this time, the sun is completely set and we're sitting in the lot, looking at the stars. "Wow," She breathes, staring up at all of the bright stars. They never look this pretty, they're usually too hard to see, but not tonight. "It's beautiful," she says. I look into her eyes, and she stares back. Before I kiss her, I say, "Yeah, beautiful. Just like you." She blushes like crazy, and thats when I see my chance to lean forward. Our lips come closer, their just two inches apart, and she scoots in the rest of the way. I put my arms around her waist, and when we finish, she's blushing even more. "Wow," she says again. I laugh a little. "That was my first kiss," she says. "Mine too," I tell her. "And I don't think I'm ever going to have a better one with anyone else. Emily, will you be my girl?" I ask her. Her eyes widen, like she can't believe what she's hearing, but she nods her head still. "I would love that, Ponyboy!" She exclaims. Soon after that, I pack the picnic basket, and we start on the walk back to her house, hand in hand. All that's on my mind is, "I have a girlfriend, and she's the prettiest girl in the school," and it's all I care about.
