"Yeah and so is Johnny." TwoBit laughed nervously. "I'm being serious TwoBit!" I yelled.

His eyes grew wide, I've never yelled at him like that. "But h-he died right in front of us, y-you were there you saw it too!" He stuttered.

"He survived, b-but you can't tell anyone." I demanded. "But why?" He asked. "He doesn't want anyone to know. Okay?" I snapped.

He nodded and we walked home. I completely forgot to check the time and TwoBit and I ran right into Darry.

"Hey Dar." TwoBit greeted. "Hey TwoBit." Darry smiled at him then fixed his eyes on me and his smile faded. "C'mon Steve, let's go." Soda told Steve.

"No I wanna see this." Steve told Soda. Soda sighed and went upstairs. "Where the hell were you last night?" Darry questioned me.

I wish Johnny was here he would know how to make me feel better. "I-I was with TwoBit." I looked back at him and he nodded.

"Y-yeah we were...um...driving around town." He told Darry. Steve frowned. "Sure you two weren't at Buck's?" Steve smirked.

"W-well we did stop there, we didn't know there was a party but we decided to stay anyways." I said looking straight into Darry's eyes.

"Why were you even at Buck's? I told you to never go up there." He was getting mad and fast.

"We were gonna play cards but TwoBit lost his and we weren't near home so, we went to Buck's to get cards." I lied.

"Steve said y'all were drunk." Darry looked at Steve. "Definitely wasn't." I laughed and Steve knew he was defeated.

"Whatever." Steve said and walked out the door. "Oh and Ponyboy Cherry is coming by to do the project with you please be home this time." He said and walked out the door probably going back to work.

Soda came down. "Where's Steve?" He asked. "Left after I didn't get yelled at." I told him.

"Oh well I gotta go to the DX station." He said putting his DX hat on. "Okay but Soda, I told TwoBit." I looked down.

"About?" He looked confused. "Bout Dally?" I told him. He nodded and walked out.

"He ain't mad is he?" TwoBit asked me as we both sat down on the couch. "I sure hope not." I sighed. There was a knock on the door and I went up to the door. "TwoBit hide." I warned him and he jumped behind the couch.

I opend the door and Dally walked in. "Hi Dal." I smiled letting him in. "Hey Pone." He said sitting on the couch pulling out a cigarette.

"Hey Cherry is coming over, so you can't stay long unless you hide in Darry's room.

"Yeah. I need to talk to you later Pony. It's important." He said and walked upstairs.

As if on que there was a knock on the door. I opened it and Cherry walked in. TwoBit crawled out of behind the couch and laid down on it.

Cherry gave him a strange look and laughed. "Um well let's get to work I guess." I said nervously and we walked up to my room.
