I walked downstairs and saw Soda and Steve playing cards but no sign of Darry. "Morning Pone." Soda smiled. "Mornin Soda. Mornin Steve." I smiled warmly at them, more towards Soda though.

"Darry went to work but he's coming home for lunch, so I recommend you leave before then." Soda informed me.

Darry got his lunch break at 12 and it was 11 so I had an hour to get the hell outta here. "Yeah okay I'll just call Dal-" I remembered Steve was here and stopped myself. "TwoBit." I finished.

Steve gave me a weird look but I brushed it off. I went over to the phone and TwoBit walked in as soon as I went to call Dally.

"Hey Two, Pony was just looking for you." Steve smirked. He must of been able to tell I was hiding something. Oh well.

"Oh was he? Where is the little horse?" He asked causing me to sign and put the phone back in it's place on the table.

"C'mon TwoBit let's go get some cake downtown." I said knowing that would get him to come with me. "Yay!" He screamed and ran out the door and jumped off the porch railing.

"Oh hey Pony, Cherry came by yesterday. Said it was about a project er somethin." Soda told me.

"Alright." I replied and caught up to TwoBit. He was humming the Mickey Mouse theme song and that left me to my own thoughts.

I can't believe I forgot about the project. I hope Cherry wasn't mad. I wish Johnny was around, I always liked Johnny and sometimes a little more than I should have. But that was wrong, being quieer was wrong.

"Pony are you okay?" TwoBit asked causing me to snap out of my thoughts. "Yeah I'm good." I said starting to walk away but TwoBit grabbed my wrist.

"We need to talk." He mutterd. I was nervous he never acted serious. I led us to the vacant lot and we sat down on the pavement. It's weird to think just a few months ago me and Johnny were sitting here.

"Ponyboy what's been going on I haven't seen you for awhile. Where have you been?" He asked concerned. I was surprised he paid attention to me, I never thought he did.

"Just on walks and sometimes to the movies." I lied. "And Buck's party." He mutterd. My eyes grew wide in shock. How did he know about that?

"W-what?" I stutterd. "The whole gang was there when Steve ratted ya out." He told me. Oh no. Steve told on me for the party. I started bawling. Darry's gonna kill me.

"Pony what's wrong?" TwoBit questioned. "D-Darry, h-he's gonna k-kill me!" I yelled through sobs.

"Pony, he's not gonna kill you. He loves you." He told me. "Sure." I let out a shakey breath.

"Who was there?" I asked. "What?" He was confused. "You said the whole gang was there. Who was all there?" I explained.

"Oh. Just me, Steve, Darry, and Soda. Why?" He asked. "Can I tell you something? You can't tell anyone not even the gang." I asked.

"Yeah sure go ahead." He told me. "Swear you won't tell anyone?" I had to make sure. Yeah I swear." He assured me. "Dally's alive."

What's TwoBits reaction gonna be. And steves a snitch. Idk how I feel about Steve tbh. Also the official outsiders day is march 25 I believe and thats also my birthday. So my favorite book celebration is on my birthday :-)
