Chapter 20: Tiffany's Revenge
Penny walked down the hallway, feeling happy and carefree. She had just finished a great conversation with Lucas, and she couldn't wait to see him again.
As she turned a corner, she ran into Tiffany and her friends. Tiffany was standing with her arms crossed, a scowl on her face.
"Well, well, well," Tiffany said, sneering at Penny. "Look what we have here. The little couple's little girlfriend."
Penny felt a surge of anxiety, but she tried to stay calm. "What do you want, Tiffany?" she asked.
Tiffany smiled, a mean glint in her eye. "I just wanted to remind you, Penny, that you're not good enough for Lucas," she said. "He deserves someone better than you."
Penny felt a sting from Tiffany's words, but she tried not to let it get to her. "I'm not going to let you get to me, Tiffany," she said.
Tiffany laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "We'll see about that," she said.
As Penny walked away, she couldn't shake the feeling that Tiffany was planning something. She had a feeling that Tiffany was going to try and sabotage her relationship with Lucas.
Penny tried to push the thought aside, but it lingered in the back of her mind. She knew that she had to be careful, that she had to watch her back.
As she walked to her next class, Penny ran into Maya. "Hey, girl," Maya said, smiling. "What's up?"
Penny filled Maya in on her encounter with Tiffany. Maya's expression turned serious. "We need to watch out for Tiffany," Maya said. "She's not going to give up easily."
Penny nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "I'm not going to let her get to me," she said.
Maya smiled, a fierce glint in her eye. "That's the spirit," she said. "We'll take on Tiffany together."
As they walked to their next class, Penny felt a sense of gratitude towards Maya. She knew that she could always count on Maya to have her back.
But as they sat down in class, Penny couldn't shake the feeling that Tiffany was watching her. She glanced around the room, but she didn't see Tiffany anywhere.
Still, the feeling lingered. Penny knew that she had to be careful, that she had to watch her back.
As the class went on, Penny found herself distracted. She couldn't focus on the lesson, her mind kept wandering back to Tiffany.
She knew that she had to talk to Lucas about Tiffany's threats. She needed to warn him, to let him know what was going on.
